²³ For there stode by me this nyght the aungell of God. Whose I am, and whom I serue,

⁵ Now therefore if ye will heare my voyce & kepe myne apoyntement: ye shall be myne owne aboue al nacions, for all the erth is myne.

⁹ For the Lordes part is hys folke, & Iacob is the portion of hys enheritaunce.

¹⁶ O Lorde, I am thy seruaunt, I am thy seruant, and the son of thy handmaide, thou hast broken my bondes in sonder.

⁴ For why the Lorde hath chosen Iacob vnto hym selfe, and Israel for his owne possession.

¹² And of thy goodnesse scater myne enemyes abroade, & destroye all them that vexe my soule, for I am thy seruaunt.

¹⁶ My loue is myne, and I am hys, whych fedeth among the Lilies,

³ My loue is myne and I am hys, which fedeth among the Lylyes.

⁵ One wyll saye: I am the Lordes. Another will call vnder the name of Iacob. The thyrde shall descrybe wyth hys hande vnto the Lorde, and geue hym selfe vnder the name of Israel.

²¹ Consydre this (O Iacob & Israel) for thou art my seruaunt. I haue made the, that thou mightest serue me. O Israel, forget me not.

³³ But thys shall be the couenaunte that I wyll make with the house of Israel after those dayes, sayeth the Lorde: I wyll plante my lawe in the inwarde partes of them, & wryte it in theyr hertes, and wilbe theyr God, and they shalbe my people.

³⁸ And they shalbe my people, and I wilbe their God.

³⁸ Lyke as the holy flocke and the flocke of Ierusalem are in the hye solempne feastes: so shall also the wylde wasted cyties be fylled with flockes of men: and they shall knowe that I am the Lorde.

¹⁷ oure GOD whome we serue, is able to kepe vs from the hote burnynge ouen (O kynge) and can right well delyuer vs oute of thy handes.

²⁶ Vpon thys wente Nabuchodonosor vnto the mouth of the hote burnynge ouen: he spake also, and sayde: O Sydrach, Mysach & Abednago, ye seruauntes of the hye God: go forthe, & come hyther. And so Sydrach, Mysach, and Abednago wente oute of the fyre.

²⁸ Then spake Nabuchodonosor, and sayde: Blessed be the God of Sidrach, Misach and Abednago, whiche hath sente his aungel, & defended hys seruauntes, that put their trust in him: that haue altered the kynges commaundement: and yeoparde theyr bodyes thervpon, rather then they wolde serue or worshyp any other God, excepte theyr owne God onelye.

¹⁶ Then the kynge had them bringe Daniel, and they caste hym into the Lyons denne. The kynge also spake vnto Daniel, & sayde: thy God, whom thou alwaye seruest, euen he shall defende the.

²⁰ Now as he came nye vnto the denne, he cried with a pyteous voyce vnto Daniell: yea the Kinge spake, and sayde vnto Daniel: O Daniel, thou seruaunt of the lyuynge God, is not thy God (whom thou alwaye seruest) able to deliuer the from the Lyons?

²² My God hath sent his aungell whiche hath shut the lyons mouthes, so that they might not hurte me. For why? myne vngiltinesse is founde oute before him. And as for the, O Kinge, I neuer offended the.

⁹ And the same thyrd part wil I bring thorow the fyre, & wil clense them, as the siluer is clensed: yea, & try them like as gold is tryed. Then shall they call vpon my name and I wyll heare them: I wyl saye: it is my people. And they shal say: Lorde my God.

¹⁷ And in the day that I will make (sayeth the Lord of hostes) they shalbe mine own possession: and I wil fauoure them, lyke as a man fauoureth his owne sonne, that doth him seruyce.

²⁶ If any man minister vnto me, let hym folowe me, and where I am, there shal also my minister be. And yf any man minister vnto me, hym wyll my father honoure.

⁹ I praye for them, and praye not for the worlde but for them whome thou haste geuen me, for they are thyne. ¹⁰ And all myne are thyne, and thyne are myne, and I am glorifyed in them.

¹⁹ But the Aungell of the Lorde by nyght opened the prison dores, and broughte them forth, & sayed:

²⁶ Then the aungel of the Lorde spake vnto Philippe, saiynge: aryse and go Southward vnto the way, that goeth doune from Ierusalem vnto Gaza, which is in the desert.

⁸ And the aungell sayed vnto him: gyrde thy selfe, and bind on thy sandales. And so he dyd. And he sayed vnto hym: cast thy mantle aboute the, & folow me. ⁹ And he came out, and folowed hym, and wist not that it was truthe, whiche was done by the aungell, but thought he had sene a vysion. ¹⁰ When they were past the fyrste and the second watche, they came vnto the Iron gate, that leadeth vnto the citie which opened to them by his owne accorde. And they went oute and passed thorowe one strete, and by and by the aungell departed from hym. ¹¹ And when Peter was come to hym selfe, he sayde. Nowe I knowe of a suretye, that the Lorde hath sent hys aungell, and hath delyuered me out of the hande of Herode, and from all the waytyng for of the people of the Iewes.

²³ And immediatly the aungell of the Lorde smote hym, because he gaue not God the glorye, and he was eaten of wormes, and gaue vp the ghost.

¹⁷ The same folowed Paul and vs, & cryed, saiynge: These men are the seruauntes of the moste hye God, which shew vnto vs that waye of saluacyon.

⁹ Then spake the Lorde to Paule in the nyght by a vision: be not afrayde, but speake, and hold not thy peace:

¹¹ The nyght folowynge, God stode by hym and sayed: be of good cheare Paule: for as thou haste testifyed of me in Ierusalem, so must thou beare wytnes at Rome.

¹ Paule the seruaunte of Iesus Christ called to be an Apostle, put aparte to preache the Gospel of God,

⁹ For God is my wytnes, whom I serue wyth my spyryte in the Gospel of hys sonne, that wythout ceasinge I make mencion of you alwayes in my prayers,

²² But nowe are ye deliuered from synne, and made the seruauntes of God, and haue youre fruyte that ye shoulde be sanctified, & the ende euerlastynge lyfe.

²⁰ For ye are dearlye boughte. Therfore glorifye ye God in youre bodyes, and in youre spyrytes, for they are Goddes.

³ I thanke God, whom I serue from myne elders with pure conscience, that wythout ceasyng I make mencyon of the in my prayers nyghte and daye,

²⁴ But the seruaunt of the Lorde must not stryue, but must be peasable to all men, and apte to teache, and one that can suffre

¹⁷ Notwithstandynge the Lord assisted me, & strenghthed me, that by me the preachynge shoulde be fulfylled to the vttermoste, and that al the Gentyles shoulde heare. And I was delyuered out of the mouth of the Lyon.

¹ Paule the seruaunt of God and an Apostle of Iesu Christ, to preache the faythe, of Goddes elect, & the knowledge of that truethe, whiche is after Godlynes,

¹⁴ whiche gaue hym selfe for vs, to redeme vs from al vnryghtuousnes and to pourge vs a peculyar people vnto him selfe, feruently geuen vnto good workes.

¹⁴ Are they not al ministringe spirites, sent to minister for their sakes, whiche shal be heyres of saluation?

⁹ But ye are a chosen generacyon, a royall priesthode, an holye nacyon and a peculyar people that ye shoulde shewe the vertues of hym that called you oute of darkenes into his marueylous lyght, ¹⁰ whiche in tyme past were not vnder mercye, but nowe haue obtayned mercye.

¹⁶ I Iesus sent myne angell, to testifye vnto you these thinges in the congregacyons. I am the rote and the generacion of Dauid and the bryghte mornyng starre.
