⁴ And some of them beleued and came, and compayned with Paul and Sylas: also of the honorable Grekes a greate multytude, and of the chief women not a fewe.

⁶ Forsake ignoraunce, & ye shall lyue: & se that ye go in the way of vnderstandinge.

²⁰ He that goeth in the company of wyse men, shalbe wyse: but who so is a companyon of foles, shalbe hurte.

⁷ Tell me (O thou whom my soule loueth) where thou fedest, where thou restest at the noone daye: lest I go wrong, and come vnto the flockes of thy companyons. ⁸ If thou knowe not thy selfe (O thou fayrest among women) then go thy waye forthe after the fotesteppes of the shepe, as though thou woldest fede thy goates beside the shepeherdes tentes.

¹ Whither is thy loue gone then (O thou fayrest amonge women) whither is thy loue departed, that we may seke hym with the?

¹¹ At the same tyme there shall manye Heathen cleue to the Lorde, and shall be my people. Thus wyll I dwell in the myddest of the, & thou shalte knowe, that the Lorde of hostes hathe sente me vnto the.

²⁰ Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes: There shal yet come people, and the inhabiters of many cities: ²¹ and they that dwell in one citie, shal go to another sayeng: Vp, let vs go, and pray before the Lord, let vs seke the Lorde of Hostes, I will go with you: ²² yea much people and mightie heathen shall come and seke the Lorde of Hostes at Ierusalem, & to pray before the Lorde. ²³ Thus sayeth the Lorde of Hostes: In that tyme shal ten men (out of al maner of languages of the Gentiles) take one Iew by the hemme of his garment, and saye: we wyl go with you, for we haue hearde, that God is amonge you.

³⁵ Then sayd the Iewes amonge them selues: whither wyll he go, that we shall not fynde him? Wyll he go amonge the gentyls which are scattered all abrode and teache the gentyls:

⁴¹ Then they that gladlye receiued his preachinge, were baptysed, and the same daye there were added vnto them about thre thousande soules. ⁴² And they continued in the Apostles doctrine and fellowshyppe, and in breakyng of bread, and in praier.

⁴⁴ And all that beleued kept them selues together, and had all thinges commen,

²³ Assone as they were let go, they came to their fellowes, and shewed all that the hye priestes and elders had sayed to them.

¹² By the handes of the Apostles were manie signes and wounders shewed amonge the people. And they were all together wyth one accorde in Solomons porch. ¹³ And of other durst no man ioyne him selfe to them: neuerthelater the people magnifyed them. ¹⁴ The numbre of them that beleued in the Lorde, both of men and women, grewe more and more:

⁴³ When the congregacyon was broken vp, many of the Iewes & vertuouse conuertes, folowed Paule and Barnabas, which spake to them, and exhorted them to continue in the grace of God.

⁵⁰ But the, Iewes moued the worshypfull and honorable women, & the chiefe men of the citie, and raysed persecucion agaynste Paule and Barnabas, & expelled them out of theyr costes.

¹ And it fortuned in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagoge of the Iewes, and so spake that a greate multitude bothe of the Iewes, and also of the grekes beleued.

⁴ The people of the citie were deuyded: and parte helde with the Iewes, and parte wt the Apostles.

²² Then pleased it the Apostles and elders with the whole congregacion, to sende chosen men of theyr owne companye to Antioche wt Paule and Barnabas. They sent Iudas called also Barsabas and Sylas, whiche were chiefe men among the brethren,

²⁷ We haue sent therfore Iudas & Sylas, whiche shall also tell you, the same thinges by mouth.

³² And Iudas and Sylas beynge prophetes, exhorted the brethren with muche preachyng, and strengthed them.

⁴⁰ And Paule chose Sylas and departed, delyuered of the brethren vnto the grace of God.

³ The same Paule woulde that he shoulde go forthe with hym, and toke and circumcysed him, because of the Iewes whiche were in those quarters: for they knewe all, that hys father was a Greke.

¹² And many of them beleued: also of worshipfull women which were Grekes, and of men not a feawe.

¹⁷ Then he disputed in the synagoge with the Iewes, and with the deuoute persones and in the market daylye with them that came vnto hym.

³⁴ Howbeit certayne men claue vnto Paule, and beleued, amonge the which was Dionisius a senatoure, and a woman named Damaris and other wyth them.

⁴ And he preached in the Synagoge euerye Saboth daye and exhorted the Iewes and the gentyls.

¹⁰ And thys continued by the space of two yeares: so that all they whyche dwelt in Asia, hearde the worde of the Lorde Iesu, both Iewes & Grekes.

²⁸ criyng: Ye men of Israell, healpe. Thys is the man that teacheth all men euerye where agaynste the people and the lawe, and this place. More ouer also he hath brought Grekes into the temple, & hath polluted thys holy place.

²⁴ And some beleued the thinges, whyche were spoken, and some beleued not.

¹⁷ Wherfore come out from among them, and separate youre selues (sayeth the Lorde) and touche none vncleane thynge: so wyll I receyue you, ¹⁸ and wyll be a father vnto you, and ye shall be vnto me sonnes and doughters, sayth the Lorde almyghtye.

⁵ And thys they dyd, not as we loked for: but gaue theyr owne selues fyrste to the Lorde, and after vnto vs by the wyl of God:
