¹⁴ Howe be it because in doynge this deede thou hast geuen the enemyes of the Lorde a cause to rayle, the chyld that is borne the shall dye surelye.

⁹ And I sayde: It is not good that ye do. Oughte ye not to walcke in the feare of God because of the rebuke of the Heythen oure enemyes?

¹⁰ O God, how long shall the aduersary do this dishonoure? how longe shall the enemy blaspheme thy name? for euer?

³¹ If they breake myne ordynaunces, & kepe not my commaundementes. ³² I will vyset their offences wyth the rodde, and their synnes wit scourges. ³³ Neuerthelesse, my louinge kyndnesse wil I not vtterly take from hym, nor suffre my trueth to fayle.

¹² Blessed is the man, whome thou learnest (O LORDE) and teacheste hym in thy lawe.

¹¹ My sonne, despise not the chastening of the Lorde, neyther faynte when thou arte rebuked of hym. ¹² For whome the Lord loueth hym he chasteneth: & yet deliteth in him euen as a father in his owne sonne.

⁵ And nowe what profyt is it to me (sayeth the Lorde) that my people is frely caryed awaye, & brought into heuynes by theyr rulers, and my name euer styll blasphemed? saith the Lorde.

²⁰ Now when they were gone vnto the Heathen, & come in amonge them they dyshonoured my holye name: so that it was sayde of them: Are these the people of God, & must go out of their owne lande? ²¹ Then spared I my holy name, which the house of Israell had dishonoured amonge the Gentyles, to whom they came. ²² Therfore tell the house of Israell: Thus sayeth the Lord God: I do not this for youre sakes (O house of Israell) but for my holye names sake, whyche ye dyshonoured amonge the Heathen, when ye came to them. ²³ Therfore, I wyll halowe my greate name agayne, which amonge the Gentiles is euell spoken of: for ye yourselues haue dishonoured it amonge them. And the Gentiles shal knowe that I am the Lord, when I am honoured in you before their eyes, sayeth the Lorde God.

² you only haue I accepted from all the generacyons of the earthe: therfore wyl I vyset you in all youre wickednesses.

⁷ Wo be vnto the worlde because of offences. Howe be it, it cannot be auoyded but that offences shall be geuen. Neuerthelesse woo be to the man, by whome the offence cometh.

²⁴ For the name of god is euyll spoken of amonge the gentyls thorow you, as it is wrytten.

³² But when we are iudged of the Lorde, we are chastened, because we shoulde not be dampued wyth the worlde.

⁶ For whom the Lord loueth, hym he chasteneth: yea, and he scourgeth euerye sonne that he receyueth.

¹⁹ As manye as I loue, I rebuke and chastes. Be feruent therfore and repente.
