¹⁰ And they made them Images & groues on euerye hye hyll, & vnder euerye grene tree.

¹³ But ouerthrowe their aulters and breake theyr pillars, & cut downe their groues,

¹ I am the Lorde your God. Ye shal make you no Idolles nor grauen image, neyther reare you vp anye piller, neyther ye shall sette vppe anye image of stone in your Lande to bowe youre selues therto: for I am the Lorde youre God:

² Se that ye destroy all places where the nations whyche ye conquere serue theyr Goddes, vpon hye mountaynes, and on hye hylles, & vnder euery grene tre. ³ Ouerthrow theyr alters and breake theyr pyllers, & burne theyr groues wyth fyre & hew downe the ymages of theyr Goddes, and brynge the names of them to naught out of that place.

²¹ Thou shalt plante no groue of whatsoeuer trees it be, nye vnto the alter of the Lord thy God which thou shalt make the.

²³ For they also made them hyll aulters & Images & groues on euerye hye hyl, and vnder euery grene tre.

⁴ And he offered and burnt the fat in the hilaulters and on the hylles and vnder euery grene tree.

⁵ Ye take youre pleasure vnder the okes, and vnder all grene trees, the childe beyng slayne in the valleys, and dennes of stone.

¹⁴ Thy groues wyll I plucke vp by the rotes, and breake downe the cyties.
