¹¹ And the garde stode euery man with hys wepon in hys hand rounde about the king from the ryght corner of the temple to the left alonge by the aultare & the temple.

⁶ And sette the burntofferynge aultare before the dore of the tabernacle of witnes

⁸ and shal compase the kynge round aboute, euery man wyth his wepen in his hand. And whosoeuer cometh within the ranges shal dye for it. And se that ye be with the kinge as he goeth oute and in.

¹⁰ And the prieste gaue to the captaynes ouer hundredes the speares & shyldes that were kynge Dauids, & had remayned in the temple.

¹² And he stepte forthe before the aulter of the Lord in the presence of all the congregacion of Israel, and stretched out his handes,

¹⁶ And so he broughte me into the inward court of the Lordes house: and beholde at the porte of the Lordes house, betwyxte the fore entrye and the aulter, there were fyue and twentye men, that turned theyr backes vpon the temple of the Lorde, and theyr faces towarde the east & these worshipped the sonne.

¹⁷ Let the prestes serue the Lorde betwixte the porche & the aulter, weping and saying: be fauourable (O Lorde) be fauourable vnto thy people: let not thyne herytage be broughte to suche confusyon, leste the Heathen be Lordes therof. Wherfore shulde they saye amonge the Heathen: where is nowe theyr God?

³⁵ that vpon you may come all the ryghtuous bloude that was shede vpon the earth, from the bloude of ryghtuous Abel, vnto the bloude of Zacharias the sonne of Barachias, whom ye slewe betwene the tempel and the aulter.
