¹¹ with the salutary doctrine of the gospel of immortality, which the blessed God committed to my trust.

¹⁷ to the king of the world, the immortal, invisible, and the only God be honour and glory to endless ages. amen.

⁴ cruel, enemies to virtue, traitors, insolent, conceited, and more devoted to pleasure than to piety:

¹⁵ Love not the world, nor let worldly things engage your affections. he that is worldly affected is a stranger to divine love. ¹⁶ for what the world is so full of, sensuality, avarice, and pride, is not deriv'd from the creator, but is the offspring of a vicious world.

²⁰ We know that the son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding to know him that is true: and we are with him that is true, by his son Jesus Christ. "he is the true God, who is the author of eternal life."
