²¹ before I go thither, from whence I shall not turn again. Namely, to that land of darkness and shadow of death: ²² yea, into a land as dark as darkness itself, and into the shadow of death where is none order; but light there is as darkness."

¹⁷ For as soon as the day breaketh, the shadow of death cometh upon them, and they go in horrible darkness.

³⁰ that he keepeth his soul from perishing, and letteth him enjoy the light of the living.

²⁹ If he deliver and grant pardon, who will judge or condemn? But if he hide away his countenance, who will turn it about again, whether it be to the people or to any man?

¹⁶ Even so shall he keep thee - if thou wilt be content - from the bottomless pit that is beneath: and if thou wilt hold the quiet, he shall fill thy table with plenteousness.

⁶ I will not be afraid for ten thousands of the people that have set themselves against me.

⁸ Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way plain before my face.

⁵ There were they brought in great fear, even where no fear was; for God is in the generation of the righteous.

⁵ The LORD himself is the portion of mine inheritance, and of my cup; thou shalt maintain my lot.

¹¹ Thou shalt show me the path of life; in thy presence is the fulness of joy, and at thy righthand there is pleasure for evermore.

¹⁵ They have children at their desire, and leave the rest of their substance for their babes. But as for me, I shall behold thy presence in righteousness: and when I awake up after thy likeness, I shall be satisfied with it.

⁷ The law of the LORD is an undefiled law, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, and giveth wisdom unto simple.

⁴ He asked life of thee; and thou gavest him a long life, even forever and ever.

²⁶ The poor shall eat, and be satisfied: they that seek after the LORD shall praise him. Your heart shall live for ever.

²⁹ All such as be fat upon earth have eaten and worshipped. All they that go down into the dust shall kneel before him; and no man hath quickened his own soul.

¹ {A Psalm of David} The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom then should I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom then shall I be afraid? ² When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. ³ Though a host of men were laid against me, yet shall not my heart be afraid; and though there rose up war against me, yet will I put my trust in him. ⁴ One thing have I desired of the LORD, which I will require, even that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the fair beauty of the LORD, and to visit his temple.

¹¹ Thou hast turned my heaviness into joy; thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness. ¹² Therefore shall every good man sing of thy praise without ceasing. O my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever.

³ For thou art my stronghold and my castle: be thou also my guide, and lead me for thy name's sake.

¹⁹ O how plentiful is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, and that thou hast prepared for them that put their trust in thee, even before the sons of men! ²⁰ Thou shalt hide them privily by thine own presence from the provoking of all men; thou shalt keep them secretly in thy tabernacle from the strife of tongues.

³ O praise the LORD with me, and let us magnify his name together.

⁹ O fear the LORD, ye that are his saints: for they that fear him lack nothing. ¹⁰ The lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but they who seek the LORD shall want no manner of thing that is good.

⁷ How excellent is thy mercy, O God! And the children of men shall put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. ⁸ They shall be satisfied with the plenteousness of thy house, and thou shalt give them drink of the river of thy pleasures. ⁹ For with thee is the well of life; and in thy light shall we see light. ¹⁰ O spread forth thy loving-kindness unto them that know thee, and thy righteousness unto them that are true of heart.

¹⁹ no, not when thou hast smitten us into the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death

⁷ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; wherefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

¹ {To the Chanter, a song of the children of Korah upon Alamoth} God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ² Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be moved, and though the hills be carried into the midst of the sea; ³ Though the waters thereof rage and swell, and though the mountains shake at the tempest of the same. Selah. ⁴ The rivers of the flood thereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling of the most highest.

¹¹ The LORD of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

¹⁰ Make in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

¹² O give me the comfort of thy help again, and establish me with thy free spirit.

²⁴ Thou leadest me with thy counsel, and afterward receivest me unto glory. ²⁵ Whom have I in heaven but thee? There is nothing upon earth, that I desire in comparison of thee. ²⁶ My flesh and my heart faileth; but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.

¹⁹ For they spake against God, and said, "Yea yea, God shall prepare a table in the wilderness, shall he?

⁵² But as for his own people, he led them forth like sheep, and carried them in the wilderness like a flock.

⁹ Help us, O God our saviour, for the glory of thy name; O deliver us, and forgive us our sins for thy name's sake.

¹³ So we, that be the people and sheep of thy pasture, shall give thee thanks forever, and will always be showing forth thy praise, from generation to generation.

¹¹ For the LORD God is a light and defense; the LORD will give grace and worship, and no good thing shall he withhold from them that live a godly life.

⁴ Turn us then, O God our Saviour, and let thine anger cease from us. ⁵ Wilt thou be displeased at us forever? Wilt thou stretch out thy wrath from one generation to another? ⁶ Wilt thou not turn again, and quicken us, that thy people may rejoice in thee? ⁷ Show us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

¹³ Righteousness shall go before him, and prepare the way for his coming.

¹⁰ But my horn shall be exalted like the horn of an unicorn; and shall be anointed with fresh oil.

¹⁷ But the merciful goodness of the LORD endureth for ever and ever upon them that fear him, and his righteousness upon their children's children;

¹⁵ Thou bringest food out of the earth: wine to make glad the heart of man, oil to make him a cheerful countenance and bread to strengthen man's heart.

² The LORD shall send the rod of thy power out of Zion; be thou ruler, even in the midst among thine enemies.

¹³ I will receive the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

⁶ The LORD is on my side; I will not fear what man doeth unto me.

¹⁷⁶ I go astray, like a sheep that is lost; O seek thy servant, for I do not forget thy commandments.

⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, yet shalt thou refresh me; thou shalt stretch forth thine hand upon the furiousness of mine enemies, and thy righthand shall save me.

⁸ O let me hear thy loving-kindness betimes in the morning; for in thee is my trust. Show thou me the way that I should walk in; for I lift up my soul unto thee. ⁹ Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies, for I resort unto thee to hide me. ¹⁰ Teach me to do the thing that pleaseth thee; for thou art my God. Let thy loving spirit lead me forth into the land of righteousness.

¹¹ I will show thee the way of wisdom, and lead thee in the right paths.

²⁰ I walk in the way of righteousness, and in the street of judgment:

⁶ "Forasmuch as the people refuseth the still-running water of Siloam, and put their delight in Rezin and Remaliah's son:

⁹ Go together ye people, and gather you, hearken to all ye of far countries. Muster you, and you shall be broken down: prepare you to battle and you shall be torn in pieces. ¹⁰ Take your counsel together, yet must your counsel come to nought; go in hand withal, yet shall it not prosper. For God is with us.

⁶ Moreover, the LORD of Hosts shall once prepare a feast for all people upon the hill: A plenteous, costly, pleasant feast, of fat and well-fed beasts, of sweet and most pure things.

²³ Then will he give rain to the seed that ye shall sow in the earth, and give you bread of the increase of the earth, so that all shall be plenteous and abundant. Thy cattle also shall he feed in the broad meadows;

¹¹ He shall feed his flock like a herdsman. He shall gather the lambs together with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall kindly entreat those that bear young.

¹⁰ Be not afraid, for I will be with thee. Look not behind thee, for I will be thy God, to strengthen thee, help thee, and to keep thee with this righthand of mine.

¹⁶ I will bring the blind into the street, that they know not: and lead them in to a foot path, that they are ignorant in. I shall make darkness light before them, and the thing that is crooked to be straight. These things will I do, and not forget them.

¹ But now, the LORD that made thee O Jacob, and he that fashioned thee O Israel, sayeth thus, "Fear not, for I will defend thee. I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine own. ² If thou goest through the water, I will be with thee, that the strong floods should not pluck thee away. When thou walkest in the fire, it shall not burn thee, and the flame shall not kindle upon thee.

⁹ That thou mayest say to the prisoners, "Go forth," and to them that are in darkness, "Come into the light." That they may feed in the high ways, and get their living in all places. ¹⁰ There shall neither hunger nor thirst, heat nor Sun hurt them. For he that favoureth them shall lead them, and give them drink of the spring wells.

⁶ They thought not in their hearts, 'Where have we left the LORD, that brought us out of the land of Egypt? That led us through the wilderness; through a desert and rough land; through a dry and deadly land; yea a land that no man had gone through, and wherein no man had dwelt?'

³ And will gather together the remnant of my flock, from all lands that I had driven them unto, and will bring them again to their pastures, that they may grow and increase. ⁴ I will set shepherds also over them, which shall feed them. They shall no more fear and dread, for there shall none of them be lost, sayeth the LORD.

⁸ Behold, I will bring them again from out of the north land, and gather them from the ends of the world, with the blind and lame that are among them, with the women that be great with child, and such as be also delivered: and the company of them that come again, shall be great.

¹⁰ "Hear the word of the LORD, O ye Gentiles; preach in the Isles that lie far off, and say, 'He that hath scattered Israel, shall gather him together again, and shall keep him as a shepherd doth his flock.'

³⁷ Behold, I will gather them together from all lands wherein I have scattered them in my wrath, in my fearful and great displeasure: and will bring them again unto this place, where they shall dwell safely. ³⁸ And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. ³⁹ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me all the days of their life, that they and their children after them may prosper. ⁴⁰ And I will set up an everlasting covenant with them; Namely: that I will never cease to do them good, and that I will put my fear in their hearts, so that they shall not run away from me. ⁴¹ Yea I will have a lust and pleasure to do them good, and faithfully to plant them in this land, with my whole heart, and with all my soul. ⁴² For thus sayeth the LORD: Like as I have brought all this great plague upon this people, so will I also bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

¹⁴ Yet I would not do it, for my name's sake: lest it should be dishonored before the Heathen, from the which I had carried them away.

¹¹ For thus sayeth the LORD God: Behold, I will look to my sheep myself, and seek them. ¹² Like as a shepherd among the flock seeketh after the sheep that are scattered abroad, even so will I seek after my sheep, and gather them together out of all places, where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. ¹³ I will bring them out from all people, and gather them together out of all lands, I will bring them into their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the rivers, and in all the places of the country. ¹⁴ I will feed them in right good pastures, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their folds be. There shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed: even upon the mountains of Israel.

²³ I will raise up to them one only shepherd: even my servant David. He shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. ²⁴ I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David shall be their prince: Even I the LORD have spoken it.

⁴ I will heal their obedience and will love them of mine own accord: for my wrath is ceased from them. ⁵ I will be as dew to Israel, and he shall flourish as a lily, and stretch out his roots as Lebanon. ⁶ His branches shall run out, and as an olive tree shall his glory be, and his savour as Lebanon. ⁷ They that shall turn and sit in his shadow, shall live with corn, and flourish as vines. His renown shall be as the wine of Lebanon. ⁸ Ephraim, what have ye any more to do with idols? I have healed him and looked on him. I will be as a great fir tree, and of me shall thy fruit be found. ⁹ Who is wise to understand these things and hath wit to perceive them? For the ways of the LORD are straight, and the righteous shall walk in them: but the wicked shall tumble in them.

⁶ ye that drink wine out of goblets, and anoint yourselves with the best oil: but no man is sorry for Joseph's hurt.

² And thou Bethlehem Ephrata, art little among the thousands of Judah: Out of thee shall come one, unto me, which shall be the governour in Israel: whose outgoing hath been from the beginning, and from everlasting.

⁴ He shall stand fast, and give food in the strength of the LORD, and in the victory of the name of the LORD his God: and when they be converted, he shall be magnified unto the farthest parts of the world.

⁸ O thou enemy of mine, rejoice not at my fall, for I shall get up again: and though I sit in darkness, yet the LORD is my light. ⁹ I will bear the punishment of the LORD - For why? I have offended him - till he sit in judgment upon my cause, and see that I have right. He will bring me forth to the light, and I shall see his righteousness.

¹⁴ Therefore feed thy people with thy rod; the flock of thine heritage which dwell desolate in the wood: that they may be fed upon the mount of Carmel, Bashan and Gilead as afore time.

¹⁸ Where is there such a God as thou? That pardonest wickedness, and forgivest the offenses of the remnant of thine heritage? He keepeth not his wrath for ever. And why? His delight is to have compassion. ¹⁹ He shall turn again, and be merciful to us: he shall put down our wickednesses, and cast all our sins into the bottom of the sea.

²³ Thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts: In that time shall ten men, out of all manner of languages of the Gentiles, take one Jew by the hem of his garment, and say, 'We will go with you, for we have heard that God is among you.'"

¹⁰ I took also my Loving Meek staff, and brake it, that I might disannul the covenant, which I made with all people.

¹⁴ Then brake I my other staff also, namely Woe, that I might loose the brotherhood betwixt Judah and Israel.

²³ "Behold, a maiden shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with us."

¹⁷ But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face,

³³ But rather, seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, and the righteousness thereof; and all these things shall be ministered unto you.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I commanded you. And lo, I am with you always even until the end of the world."

⁷⁹ To give light to them that sat in darkness, and in shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace."

⁴⁶ Mine head with oil thou didst not anoint: but she hath anointed my feet with ointment.

³⁰ for all such things the heathen people of the world seek for. Your father knoweth that ye have need of such things. ³¹ Wherefore, seek ye after the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be ministered unto you. ³² Fear not little flock, for it is your father's pleasure, to give you a kingdom.

³¹ And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired you, to sift you, as it were wheat: ³² But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not. And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."

⁵³ Then Jesus said unto them, "Verily, verily I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the son of man, and drink his blood, ye shall not have life in you. ⁵⁴ Whosoever eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, the same hath eternal life: And I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me: and I in him.

⁹ I am the door: by me, if any man enter in, he shall be safe, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. ¹⁰ The thief cometh not but for to steal and kill, and destroy. I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly. ¹¹ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

¹⁴ I am that good shepherd, and know mine, and am known of mine.

²⁷ My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. ²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹ My father which gave them me, is greater than all men; and no man is able to take them out of my father's hand. ³⁰ And I and my father are one."

²² And ye now are in sorrow: but I will see you again, and your hearts shall rejoice, and your joy shall no man take from you.

⁹ Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, "Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: ¹⁰ for I am with thee, and no man shall invade thee that shall hurt thee. For I have much people in this city."

³² Which spared not his own son, but gave him for us all: How shall he not with him give us all things also?

¹⁶ Is not the cup of blessing which we bless, partaking of the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break, partaking of the body of Christ?

⁵⁵ "Death where is thy sting? Hell where is thy victory?" ⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin: and the strength of sin is the law. ⁵⁷ But thanks be unto God, which hath given us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ and which delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver — on whom we trust, that yet hereafter he will deliver us,

²¹ For it is God which establisheth us and you in Christ, and hath anointed us,

¹ We know surely if our earthy mansion wherein we now dwell were destroyed, that we have a building ordained of God, a habitation not made with hands, but eternal in heaven:

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherewith he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

²⁰ Unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

²³ I am constrained of two things. I desire to be loosed, and to be with Christ, which thing is best of all:

¹⁹ My God fulfill all your needs through his glorious riches in Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ And the Lord shall deliver me from all evil doing, and shall keep me unto his heavenly kingdom. To whom be praise for ever and ever. Amen.

⁵ Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with that ye have already. For he verily said, "I will not fail thee, neither forsake thee." ⁶ That we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man doeth unto me."

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Be fervent therefore and repent.

¹⁷ For the lamb which is in the midst of the seat, shall feed them, and shall lead them unto fountains of living water, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

⁶ And he said unto me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning, and the end. I will give to him that is athirst of the well of the water of life, free.

¹ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the seat of God and of the lamb.

¹⁷ And the spirit and the bride said, "Come." And let him that heareth, say also "Come." And let him that is athirst come. And let whosoever will, take of the water of life free.
