⁴ Keep me, O LORD, from the hand of the ungodly; preserve me from the wicked men, who are purposed to overthrow my goings.

⁵ O hold thou up my goings in thy paths: that my footsteps slip not.

⁸ Keep me as the apple of an eye; hide me under the shadow of thy wings, ⁹ from the ungodly that trouble me. Mine enemies compass me round about, to take away my soul.

¹¹ O let not the foot of pride overtake me; O let not the hand of the ungodly cast me down.

³² The ungodly watcheth the righteous, and seeketh occasion to slay him. ³³ But the LORD will not leave him in his hands, nor condemn him when he is judged. ³⁴ Hope thou in the LORD, and keep his way. ⁴ Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the ungodly, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

⁵ It is not good to regard the person of the ungodly, or to put back the righteous in judgment.
