² saying, "Where is he that is born King of the Jews? We have seen his star in the East and are come to worship him."

¹⁷ I see him but not now, I behold him but not nigh. There shall come a star of Jacob and rise a scepter of Israel, which shall smite the coasts of Moab and undermine all the children of Seth.

⁶ "Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion."

¹¹ So shall the king have pleasure in thy beauty; for he is thy LORD, and thou shalt worship him.

⁶ For unto us a child is born, and unto us a son is given. Upon his shoulders shall the kingdom lie, and he shall be called with his own name, "Wonderful, the giver of counsel, the mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of peace." ⁷ He shall make no end to increase the kingdom and peace, and shall sit upon the seat of David and in his kingdom, to set up the same: to establish it with equity and righteousness, from thenceforth for evermore. This shall the jealousy of the LORD of hosts bring to pass.

¹ Behold, a king shall govern after the rule of righteousness, and the princes shall rule according to the balance of equity. ² He shall be unto men, as a defense for the wind, and as a refuge for the tempest, like as a river of water in a thirsty place, and the shadow of a great rock in a dry land.

³ And the heathen shall walk in thy light, and the kings in the brightness that is risen over thee.

⁵ "Behold, the time cometh, sayeth the LORD, that I will raise up the righteous Branch of David, which shall bear rule, and discuss matters with wisdom, and shall set up equity and righteousness again in the earth.

⁹ but they shall do service unto God their LORD, and to David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

⁹ Rejoice thou greatly, O daughter Zion; be glad, O daughter Jerusalem. For lo, thy King cometh unto thee, even the righteous and Saviour: Lowly and simple is he, he rideth upon an ass, and upon the foal of an ass.

¹⁰ When they saw the star they were marvelously glad; ¹¹ and went into the house, and found the child with Mary his mother, and knelt down, and worshipped him: and opened their treasures, and offered unto him gifts; gold, frankincense and myrrh.

¹¹ Jesus stood before the deputy, and the deputy asked him, saying, "Art thou the King of the Jews?" Jesus said unto him, "Thou sayest."

For whosoever maketh himself a King, is against Caesar." ¹³ When Pilate heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down to give sentence, in a place called the pavement: But in the Hebrew tongue, Gabbatha. ¹⁴ It was the Sabbath even which falleth in the Easter feast, and about the sixth hour. And he said unto the Jews, "Behold your King." ¹⁵ They cried, "Away with him, away with him; Crucify him." Pilate said unto them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The high priests answered, "We have no King but Caesar."

¹⁹ And Pilate wrote his title, and put it on the cross: The writing was, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews."

²⁸ Thomas answered and said unto him, "My Lord, and my God."

⁶ And again when he bringeth in the first begotten son into the world, he saith, "And all the angels of God shall worship him."

¹⁶ "I, Jesus, sent mine angel, to testify unto you these things in the congregations. I am the root and the generation of David, and the bright morning star."
