²⁰ When the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.

¹¹ Of this manner shall ye eat it: with your loins girded, and shoes on your feet, and your staves in your hands. And ye shall eat it in haste; for it is the LORD's Passover.

¹² When the king sitteth at the table, he shall smell my Nardus:

¹⁷ And at even, he came with the twelve. ¹⁸ And as they sat at board and ate, Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, That one of you shall betray me, which eateth with me." ¹⁹ And they began to mourn, and to say to him one by one, "Is it I?" And another said, "Is it I?" ²⁰ He answered, and said unto them, "It is one of the twelve and the same dippeth with me in the platter. ²¹ The son of man goeth, as it is written of him: but woe be to that man, by whom the son of man is betrayed. Good were it for him, if that man had never been born."

¹⁴ And when the hour was come, he sat down: and the twelve apostles with him. ¹⁵ And he said unto them, "I have inwardly desired to eat this Easter lamb with you before that I suffer. ¹⁶ For I say unto you, Henceforth, I will not eat of it any more, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God."
