³ And as he sat upon the mount Olivet, his disciples came unto him secretly, saying, "Tell us, when these things shall be: and what sign shall be of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

⁶ And one of them said, unto him which was clothed in linen and stood above upon the waters of the flood, "How long shall it be to the end of these wondrous works?" ⁷ Then heard I the man with the linen clothes, which stood above upon the waters of the flood: when he held up his right and left hand unto heaven, and sware by him which liveth forever, that, "It shall tarry for a time, two times and half a time: when the power of the holy people is clean scattered abroad, then shall all these things be fulfilled." ⁸ I heard it well, but I understood it not. Then said I, "O my Lord, what shall happen after that?"

¹⁰ And the disciples came, and said to him, "Why speakest thou to them in parables?" ¹¹ He answered, and said unto them, "It is given unto you to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

³⁶ Then sent Jesus the people away, and came to house. And his disciples came unto him, saying, "Declare unto us the similitude of the tares in the field."

³⁹ And the enemy that soweth them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world. And the reapers be the angels. ⁴⁰ For even as the tares are gathered, and burnt in the fire, so shall it be in the end of this world.

⁴⁹ So shall it be at the end of the world. The angels shall go out and sever the bad from the good,

¹² Then came his disciples, and said unto him, "Perceivest thou not, how that the Pharisees are offended in hearing this saying?"

¹⁹ Then came the disciples to Jesus secretly, and said, "Why could not we cast him out?"

¹ When they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethpage, unto mount Olivet, then sent Jesus two of his disciples,

²⁷ For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth unto the west: so shall the coming of the son of man be.

³² "Learn a similitude of the fig tree: when his branches are yet tender, and his leaves sprung, ye know that summer is nigh. ³³ So likewise ye, when ye see all these things, be ye sure that it is near; even at the doors.

³⁷ As the time of Noah was, so likewise shall the coming of the son of man be.

³⁹ and knew of nothing till the flood came and took them all away. So shall also the coming of the son of man be.

⁴³ Of this be sure, that if the good man of the house knew what hour the thief would come: he would surely watch, and not suffer his house to be broken up.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I commanded you. And lo, I am with you always even until the end of the world."

³ And as he sat on mount Olivet over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him secretly, ⁴ "When shall these things be? And what is the sign, when all these things shall be fulfilled?"

⁷ And they asked him, saying, "Master, when shall these things be? And what signs will there be, when such things shall come to pass?"

²¹ When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, "Lord what shall he here do?" ²² Jesus said unto him, "If I will have him to tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me."

⁷ And he said unto them, "It is not for you to know the times, or the seasons which the father hath put in his own power:

¹ Of the times and seasons brethren ye have no need that I write unto you: ² for ye your selves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall come even as a thief in the night. ³ For when they shall say, "Peace, no danger," then cometh on them sudden destruction, as the travailing of a woman with child, and they shall not escape. ⁴ But ye brethren are not in darkness, that that day should come on you as it were a thief. ⁵ Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, neither of darkness. ⁶ Therefore let us not sleep as do others: but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For they that sleep, sleep in the night: and they that be drunken, are drunken in the night. ⁸ But let us which are of the day be sober, armed with the breast plate of faith and love, and with hope of salvation as a helmet. ⁹ For God hath not appointed us unto wrath: but to obtain salvation by the means of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁰ which died for us: that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. ¹¹ Wherefore, comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as ye do.

²⁶ for then must he have often suffered since the world began: But now in the end of the world, hath he appeared once, to put sin to flight, by the offering up of himself.
