³ But I took your father Abraham from the other side of the water, and brought him into the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.

¹ Then the LORD said unto Abram, "Get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred; and out of thy father's house, into a land which I will show thee. ² And I will make of thee a mighty people, and will bless thee, and make thy name great, that thou mayst be a blessing. ³ And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee. And in thee shall be blessed all the generations of the earth." ⁴ And Abram went as the LORD bade him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy five years old, when he went out of Haran.

⁵ And he brought him out at the doors and said, "Look up unto heaven and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them." And said unto him, "Even so shall thy seed be."

² And Sara was with child and bare Abraham a son in his old age, even the same season which the LORD had appointed. ³ And Abraham called his son's name that was born unto him, which Sara bare him, Isaac:

³ Lo, children, and the fruit of the womb are a heritage and gift, that cometh of the LORD.

² And he said, "Ye men, brethren, and fathers, hearken to. The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham while he was yet in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran, ³ and said unto him, 'Come out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall show unto thee.'
