She said unto him, "Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand in thy kingdom." ²² Jesus answered, and said, "Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of? And to be baptised with the baptism, that I shall be baptised with?" They answered to him, "That we are."

²⁰ And behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak until the time that these things be performed, because thou believedst not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season."

¹⁰ So likewise ye, when ye have done all those things which are commanded unto you, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done that which was our duty to do.'"

³ And there was a certain widow in the same city, which came unto him saying, 'Avenge me of mine adversary.' ⁴ And he would not for a while. But afterward he said unto himself, 'Though I fear not God, nor care for man, ⁵ yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her: lest at the last she come, and hag on me.'" ⁶ And the Lord said, "Hear what the unrighteous judge sayeth. ⁷ And shall not God avenge his elect, which cry night and day unto him? Yea though he defer them:

²² And he said unto him, 'Of thine own mouth judge I thee, thou evil servant. Knowest thou that I am a strait man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow?

³¹ For we be sure that God heareth not sinners: But if any man be a worshipper of God, and do what his will is, him heareth he.

²⁵ At midnight, Paul and Silas prayed, and lauded God. And the prisoners heard them.

²⁴ saying, 'Fear not Paul, for thou must be brought before Caesar. And lo, God hath given unto thee all that sail with thee.'

³³ Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's chosen? It is God that justifieth: ³⁴ who then shall condemn? It is Christ which is dead; Yea rather which is risen again, which is also on the righthand of God and maketh intercession for us.

³⁵ Other who hath given unto him first, that he might be recompensed again?

⁷ By faith Noah honoured God, after that he was warned of things which were not seen, and prepared the ark to the saving of his household, through the which ark he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which cometh by faith.

¹¹ No manner chastising for the present time seemeth to be joyous, but grievous; nevertheless, afterward it bringeth the quiet fruit of righteousness unto them which are therein exercised. ¹² Stretch forth therefore again the hands which were let down, and the weak knees,

³ Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, even to consume it upon your voluptuousness.

¹⁹ Wherefore, let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit their souls to him with well doing, as unto a faithful creator.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Be fervent therefore and repent.
