And the king went straight toward the desert. 5 And the host of the Chaldeans followed after him, and took him in the desert of Jericho, all his army being scattered away from him. 6 And when they had taken him, they brought him to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon to Riblah, where they reasoned with him. 7 And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and fettered him, and carried him to Babylon.

Isaiah 3:1-8

1 For lo, shall the LORD God of Hosts doth take away from Jerusalem and Judah all possessions and power, all meat and drink, 2 the captain and the soldier, the judge and the prophet, the wise and the aged man, 3 the captain of fifty and the honorable, the senators and men of understanding, the masters of crafts and orators. 4 And I shall give you children to be your princes, sayeth the LORD, and babes shall have the rule of you. 5 One shall ever be doing violence and wrong to another. The boy shall presume against the elder, and the vile person against the honorable. 6 Yea, one shall take a friend of his own kindred by the bosom, and say, "Thou hast clothing, thou shalt be our head, for thou mayest keep us from this fall and peril." 7 Then shall he swear and say, "I cannot help you. Moreover, there is neither meat nor clothing in my house, make me no ruler of the people." 8 For Jerusalem is overthrown, and Judah must fall to the ground, because that both their words and counsels are against the LORD, they provoke the presence of his Majesty unto anger.

Jeremiah 39:4-7

4 And when Zedekiah the king of Judah with his soldiers saw them, they fled, and departed out of the city by night through the king's garden, and through the port that is between the two walls, and so they went toward the wilderness. 5 But the Chaldeans' Host followed fast after them, and took Zedekiah in the field of Jericho, and brought him prisoner to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon unto Riblah, that lieth in the land of Hamath where he gave judgment upon him. 6 So the king of Babylon caused the children of Zedekiah and all the nobles of Judah be slain before his face at Riblah. 7 And made Zedekiah's eyes to be put out, and bound him with chains, and sent him to Babylon.

And thus Judah was led away captive, out of his own land.
