Jonah 3:6-8
6 And the tidings came unto the king of Nineveh, which arose out of his seat, and did his apparel off and put on sackcloth, and sat him down in ashes.
7 And it was cried and commanded in Nineveh by the authority of the king and of his lords, saying, "See that neither man or beast, ox or sheep taste ought at all, and that they neither feed or drink water."
8 And they put on sackcloth both man and beast, and cried unto God mightily, and turned every man from his wicked way, and from doing wrong in which they were accustomed, saying,

Jonah 4:8

Nahum 2:12-13
12 But the lion spoiled enough for his young ones, and devoured for his lioness: he filled his dens with his prey, and his dwelling place with that he had ravished.
13 Behold, I will upon thee, sayeth the LORD of Hosts, and will set fire upon thy chariots that they shall smoke withal, and the sword shall devour thy young lions. I will make an end of thy spoiling from out of the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
Habakkuk 3:17-18
17 For the fig trees shall not be green, and the vines shall bear no fruit. The labour of the olive shall be but lost, and the land shall bring no corn: the sheep shall be taken out of the fold, and there shall be no cattle in the stalls.
18 But as for me, I will be glad in the LORD, and will rejoice in God my Saviour.
Zephaniah 2:8-11
8 I have heard the despite of Moab, and the blasphemies of the children of Ammon: how they have shamefully intreated my people, and magnified themselves within the borders of their land.
9 Therefore as truly as I live, sayeth the LORD of Hosts the God of Israel, Moab shall be as Sodom, and Ammon as Gomorrah: even dry thorn hedges, salt pits and perpetual wilderness. The residue of my folk shall spoil them, the remnant of my people shall have them in possession.
10 This shall happen unto them for their pride, because they have dealt so shamefully with the LORD of Hosts' people, and magnified themselves above them.
11 The LORD shall be grim upon them, and destroy all the goods in the land. And all the Isles of the Heathen shall worship him, every man in his place.

43 For the days shall come upon thee; that thy enemies shall cast a bank about thee, and compass thee round and keep thee in on every side;
44 And make thee even with the ground, with thy children which are in thee. And they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another, because thou knowest not the time of thy visitation."

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3
1 Of the times and seasons brethren ye have no need that I write unto you:
2 for ye your selves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall come even as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, "Peace, no danger," then cometh on them sudden destruction, as the travailing of a woman with child, and they shall not escape.
