³⁵ And Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

²⁷ And he began at Moses, and at all the prophets, and interpreted unto them, in all scriptures which were written of him.

⁴⁴ And he said unto them, "These are the words, which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you: that all must be fulfilled which were written of me in the law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms." ⁴⁵ Then opened he their wits, that they might understand the scriptures, ⁴⁶ and said unto them, "Thus is it written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise again from death the third day. ⁴⁷ And that repentance, and remission of sins, should be preached in his name among all nations. ²³ And when they had appointed him a day, there came many unto him into his lodging: to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God; and preached unto them of Jesus: both out of the law of Moses, and also out of the prophets, even from morning to night.

²³ But we preach Christ crucified: unto the Jews, an occasion of falling; and unto the Greeks, foolishness.

² Neither showed I myself that I knew anything among you save Jesus Christ, even the same that was crucified.

¹¹ O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you. Our heart is made large:

²¹ If so be ye have heard of him, and are taught in him, even as the truth is in Jesus:

¹¹ searching when, or at what time, the spirit of Christ which was in them should signify — which spirit testified before — the passions that should come unto Christ, and the glory that should follow after. ¹² Unto which prophets it was declared, that not unto themselves, but unto us, they should minister the things which are now showed unto you, of them which, by the holy ghost sent down from heaven, have preached unto you the things which the angels desire to behold.
