Acts 19:4 Cross References - MSTC

Matthew 3:11-12

11 I baptise you in water in token of repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptise you with the holy ghost and with fire: 12 Which hath also his fan in his hand, and will purge his floor, and gather the wheat into His garner; and will burn the chaff with unquenchable fire."

Matthew 11:3-5

3 "Art thou he that shall come? or, shall we look for another?" 4 Jesus answered and said unto them, "Go and show John what ye have heard and seen: 5 The blind see, the halt go, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are risen again, and the glad tidings is preached to the poor.

Matthew 21:25-32

25 The baptism of John: whence was it? From heaven, or of men?" Then they reasoned among themselves, saying, "If we shall say from heaven; he will say unto us, 'Why did ye not then believe him?' 26 But and if we shall say of men; then fear we the people. For all men held John as a prophet." 27 And they answered Jesus, and said, "We cannot tell." And he likewise said unto them, "Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. 28 "What say ye to this? A certain man had two sons, and came to the elder and said, 'Son, go and work today in my vineyard.' 29 He answered and said, 'I will not.' But afterward, repented and went. 30 Then came he to the second, and said likewise, and he answered and said, 'I will sir.' Yet went he not. 31 Whether of these twain did the will of the father?" And they said unto him, "The first." Jesus said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and the harlots shall come into the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came unto you, in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not. But the publicans and the harlots believed him. And yet ye, though ye saw it, were not yet moved with repentance; that ye might afterward have believed him.

Mark 1:1-12

1 The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ the son of God. 2 As it is written in the prophets, "Behold, I send my messenger before thy face which shall prepare thy way before thee;" 3 "The voice of a crier in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." 4 John did baptise in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance, for the remission of sins. 5 And all the land of Jewry, and they of Jerusalem went out unto him, and were all baptised of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins. 6 John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a beast's skin about his loins. And he did eat locusts and wild honey, 7 and preached, saying, "A stronger than I cometh after me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. 8 I have baptised you with water: but he shall baptise you with the holy ghost." 9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth, a city of Galilee, and was baptised of John in Jordan. 10 And as soon as he was come out of the water, John saw the heavens open, and the holy ghost descending upon him like a dove. 11 And there came a voice from heaven, "Thou art my dear son, in whom I delight." 12 And immediately the spirit drove him into a wilderness:

Luke 1:76-79

76 And thou child, shalt be called the prophet of the highest, for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord, to prepare his ways: 77 And to give knowledge of salvation unto his people, for the remission of sins: 78 Through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the day spring from on high hath visited us: 79 To give light to them that sat in darkness, and in shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace."

Luke 3:16-18

16 John answered and said to them all, "I baptise you with water, but a stronger than I cometh after me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to unloose: he will baptise you with the holy ghost, and with fire, 17 which hath his fan in his hand, and will purge his floor, and will gather the corn into his barn: But the chaff will he burn with fire that never shall be quenched." 18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.

For he was before me, 31 and I knew him not: but that he should be declared to Israel, therefore am I come, baptising with water.'" 32 And John bare record, saying, "I saw the spirit descend from heaven, like unto a dove, and abide upon him, and I knew him not: 33 But he that sent me to baptise in water, the same said unto me, 'Upon whom thou shalt see the spirit descend, and tarry still on him, the same is he which baptiseth with the holy ghost.' 34 And I saw it, and bare record, that this is the son of God."

John 3:28-36

28 Ye yourselves are witnesses, how that I said, 'I am not Christ: but am sent before him.' 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: But the friend of the bridegroom which standeth by and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this, my joy, is fulfilled. 30 He must increase: and I must decrease. 31 He that cometh from on high is above all: he that is of the earth is of the earth, and speaketh of the earth. He that cometh from heaven, is above all: 32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth: but no man receiveth his testimony. 33 Howbeit, he that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34 For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God. For God giveth not the spirit by measure. 35 The father loveth the son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the son, hath everlasting life. And he that believeth not the son, shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him."

The same am I not, but behold there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.'
