² And I saw the semblance of a glassy sea, mingled with fire; and standing by this glassy sea, with harps of God, were those who came off conquerors from the beast and from his image and from the cipher of his name.

¹¹ I indeed am baptizing you in water, unto repentance; but One is coming after me, mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire.

⁷ These are in order that the test of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable and yet is tested by fire, may redound to praise and glory and honor, at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹² Do not think it strange, beloved, that a fiery ordeal has come to test you, as though some surprising thing had befallen you.

⁶ And in front of the throne as it seemed, a glassy sea like crystal; and in the midst of the throne and encircling it are four Living Creatures, full of eyes before and behind.

⁸ When he took the book, the four Living Creatures and the four and twenty Elders fell down before the Lamb. And each had a harp and a golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

¹¹ And after three days and a half the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell upon them. ¹² And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, "Come up hither," and they went up to heaven on a cloud, while their enemies watched them.

¹¹ And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb, And by the word of their testimony; And they loved not their life, even unto death.

¹⁴ And he deceives those who dwell on the earth, because of the miracles, which he is permitted to perform in the sight of the beast. He tells those who live on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the sword-stroke, yet lived.

¹ After this I heard the semblance of the mighty voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying. "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power Unto the Lord our God! ² For true and righteous are his judgments; For he has judged the great harlot Who was corrupting the earth with her fornication. On her he has avenged the blood of his slaves." ³ And a second time they said: "Alleluia! For the smoke of her torment goes up forever and ever!" ⁴ Then the four and twenty Elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying, "Amen, Hallelujah!" ⁵ And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you his slaves, All you who fear him, small and great!" ⁶ And I heard a sound like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunderings, saying. "Alleluia, for the Lord God omnipotent reigns! ⁷ Let us rejoice and triumph and give him the glory; For the marriage of the Lamb is come, And his bride has made herself ready,

¹⁸ And its wall is made of jasper; but the city is of pure gold, like pure glass.
