⁷ When he said this, there arose a quarrel between the Pharisees and Sadducees; the meeting was divided.

³⁴ "Do not suppose that I am come to bring peace on the earth; I am come not to bring peace, but a sword.

⁴⁰ Some of the crowd who had been listening to these discourses began to say, "Without a doubt this man is a Prophet." ⁴¹ Other said, "He is the Christ." But others were saying. "Surely the Christ is not to come out of Galilee, is he? ⁴² "Does not the Scripture say that the Christ is coming of the descendants of David, and from Bethlehem, David's town?" ⁴³ So a division arose in the crowd concerning him. Some of them wished to apprehend him, but no one laid hands on him.

⁴ But the mass of the city's people was divided; part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
