⁵ if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon an ungodly world;

³⁷ And as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. ³⁸ For just as in the days before the deluge they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the very day when Noah entered the ark, ³⁹ nor did they know until the deluge came and swept them away; so will be the coming of the son of man.

⁷ By faith Noah, warned of God of things not yet seen, reverently gave heed, and built an ark for the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is of faith.
