²⁵ For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

³³ Oh, the depths of the riches, both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unfathomable are his judgments, and how unsearchable his paths! ³⁴ Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counsellor? ³⁵ Who has first given to Him, So as to receive payment in return? ³⁶ For of him and through him, and for him, are all things. All glory to him forever and ever! ¹⁸ For the message of the Cross is indeed for those on their way to destruction, foolishness; but for us who are on our way to salvation it is the power of God.

²⁷ No, God has chosen the world's folly to confound its philosophy; and the world's weakness to confound its strength. ²⁸ The world's base things has God chosen, and the things that are not, to bring to naught the things that are; ²⁹ so that no mortal man should glory in his presence.

⁴ For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he now lives through the power of God. I also am weak, sharing in his weakness, but I shall live with him by the power of God.
