¹ Hence O man, you are without defense, everyone who judges; for in what you are judging the other, you are condemning yourself; for you who judge are practicing the same things. ² Now we have known that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those who practice such things. ³ Now O man, who is judging those who practice such things and you are practicing the same things. Are you reasoning that you will be fleeing from the judgment of God? ⁴ Or do you despise the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, being ignorant that the kindness of God is leading you to repentance? ⁵ But you store up wrath for yourself according to your hardness and unrepentant heart in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; ⁶ who will ‘repay to each according to his works.’ ⁷ Everlasting life to those who indeed by endurance in good work are seeking glory and honor and incorruption. ⁸ But to those seeking things out of selfish ambition and who are indeed disobedient to the truth, but obey unrighteousness, he will repay with fury and wrath, ⁹ affliction and distress upon every soul of man who is working evil, both of the Jew first and of the Greek. ¹⁰ But glory and honor and peace to every man who is working good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek; ¹¹ for there is no favoritism with God.
¹² For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. And as many as have sinned under the law will be judged through the law. ¹³ For the hearers of the law are not righteous with God, but the doers of the law will be made righteous. ¹⁴ For whenever the Gentiles, not having the law, practice the things of the law by nature, these, not having the law, are the law to themselves; ¹⁵ who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying together with their hearts, and between one another, their reasonings are accusing or either defending them; ¹⁶ in the day when God will be judging the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, according to my teaching of the good-news.
¹⁷ Behold, you who are named a Jew and rest upon the law and boast in God, ¹⁸ and know God’s will and approve the things which carry more-value, being instructed out of the law, ¹⁹ and have confidence that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of those who are in darkness, ²⁰ a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of infants, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.
²¹ Therefore you who are teaching a different one, are you not teaching yourself? You who are preaching not to steal, are you stealing? ²² You who are saying to not commit adultery, are you committing adultery? You who detest idols, are you a temple looter? ²³ You who are boasting in the law, through your transgression of the law, are you dishonoring God? ²⁴ ‘For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,’just-as it has been written. ²⁵ For circumcision indeed profits, if you practice the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
²⁶ Therefore, if the uncircumcision are observing the ordinances of the law, will his uncircumcision not be counted toward circumcision? ²⁷ And the uncircumcision by nature who is completing the law, will be judging you, who are a transgressor of the law through the writing
and circumcision. ²⁸ For he is not a Jew openly; nor is circumcision what is openly in the flesh, ²⁹ but he is a Jew in the hidden thing, and the circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in the writing; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

⁵ And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man and he said to Nathan, As Jehovah lives, the man who has done this is worthy to die. ⁶ And he will restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.
⁷ And Nathan said to David, You are the man. Jehovah says thus, the God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

¹⁶ But to the wicked man God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes and that you have taken my covenant in your mouth, ¹⁷ since you hate instruction and cast my words behind you?
¹⁸ When you saw a thief, you consented with him and have been partaker with adulterers. ¹⁹ You give your mouth to evil and your tongue frames deceit. ²⁰ You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.

¹ Do not judge, in order that you might not be judged! ² For in what judgment you judge, you will be judged and in what measure you measure, it will be measured to you. ³ And why are you looking at the speck, the one in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the beam in your own eye? ⁴ Or how will you say to your brother, Allow me, that I may cast out the speck from your eye, and behold, the beam in your own eye? ⁵ You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see precisely to cast out the speck from your brother’s eye.

²⁹ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the burial chambers of the prophets and adorn the tombs of the righteous, ³⁰ and say, If we were in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in the blood of the prophets. ³¹ So-then you are testifying to yourselves, that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.

³⁷ And do not judge and you may never be judged; do not sentence others and you may never be sentenced; release and you will be released.

²² But he says to him, I will be judging you out of your own mouth, you evil bondservant. You knew that I am an austere man, lifting up from what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow?

⁷ Now as they were remaining, asking him, he stood-erect and said to them, The sinless one among you, let him cast the first stone upon her. ⁸ And again he stooped downward and was writing in the soil.
⁹ Now when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, they were going out one by one, having begun from the elder ones and Jesus was being left alone, and the woman being in his midst.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men and upon those holding back the truth in unrighteousness; ¹⁹ because what is known of God is apparent among them; for God manifested it to them. ²⁰ For the invisible things of him are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being perceived by the things made, both his eternal power and divinity; that they may be without defense;

³ Now O man, who is judging those who practice such things and you are practicing the same things. Are you reasoning that you will be fleeing from the judgment of God?

²¹ Therefore you who are teaching a different one, are you not teaching yourself? ²⁶ Therefore, if the uncircumcision are observing the ordinances of the law, will his uncircumcision not be counted toward circumcision? ²⁷ And the uncircumcision by nature who is completing the law, will be judging you, who are a transgressor of the law through the writing
and circumcision.

²⁰ But-rather, O man, who are you who answers back against God? The molded thing will not say to the one who molded it, why did you make me so, will it?

¹⁶ For what do you know O wife, if you will be saving your husband? Or what do you know O husband, if you will be saving your wife?

²⁰ But O vain man, are you willing to know that faith is dead without works?

¹¹ Brethren do not speak against one another. He who is speaking against a brother and is judging his brother, is speaking against the law and is judging the law. Now if you are judging the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.

²⁵ Far be it from you to do such a thing, to kill a righteous man with a wicked man, that so the righteous man should be as the wicked man. Far be it from you. Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

¹⁷ Behold he who hates lawlessness and who destroys evil men, who is forever righteousness, ¹⁸ who says to a king, You are worthless, to ranking men, You * are wicked, ¹⁹ who does not respect the persons of rulers, nor regards the rich more than the poor. For they all are the work of his hands.

²³ For he needs no further to consider a man, that he should go before God in judgment.

⁴ Because you have maintained my right and my cause. You sit in the throne judging righteously.

⁷ but Jehovah will endure everlasting.
He has prepared his throne for judgment, ⁸ and he will judge the world in righteousness. He will minister justice to the peoples in uprightness.

⁵ Jehovah tries the righteous man. But his soul hates the wicked man and he who loves violence. ⁶ He will rain snares upon sinners. Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.
⁷ Because Jehovah is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright man will behold his face.

⁵ Your loving kindness, O Jehovah, is in the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. ⁶ Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are a great deep. O Jehovah, you preserve man and beast.

¹³ before Jehovah, because he comes. Because he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with his truth.

⁹ before Jehovah, because he comes to judge the earth.

¹⁷ Jehovah is righteous in all his ways and gracious in all his works.

¹⁹ I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness. I did not say to the seed of Jacob, Seek me in vain. I, Jehovah, speak righteousness, declaring uprightness.

²¹ Declare and bring it forth. Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has shown this from long-ago? Who has declared it long since? Have not I, Jehovah? And there is no other God besides me, a just God and a Savior. There is none besides me.

¹ You are righteous, O Jehovah, when I contend with you. Yet I would reason the case with you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are all those at ease who deal very treacherously?

²⁵ Yet you* say, The way of the Lord is not equitable. Hear now, O house of Israel. Is not my way equitable? Are not your* ways inequitable?

²⁹ Yet the house of Israel says, The way of the Lord is not equitable. O house of Israel, are not my ways equitable? Are not your* ways inequitable?

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth and his ways justice. And he is able to humble those who walk in pride.

⁵ Jehovah in the midst of her is righteous. He will not do unrighteousness. Every morning he brings his justice to light. He does not fail, but the unjust man knows no shame.

³¹ because he has established a future day in which to judge the inhabited-earth in righteousness in the man whom he has determined beforehand; having provided the faith to all, by having raised him from the dead.

⁵ But you store up wrath for yourself according to your hardness and unrepentant heart in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

⁴ Let it not happen! Now, let God become true, but everyone a liar; just-as it has been written, ‘ That you should be made righteous in your words and may overcome when you are judged.’ ⁵ For if our unrighteousness is establishing the righteousness of God, what will we say? The God who brings upon us wrath is not unrighteous, is he? (I speak according to the manner of man.)

¹⁴ Therefore what shall we say? There is not unrighteousness with God, is there? Let it not happen!

⁵ This is an example of the righteous judgment of God; that you may be deemed worthy of the kingdom of God, on behalf of which you are also suffering; ⁶ if indeed it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who are afflicting you; ⁷ and to you who are afflicted with us, a rest at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the messengers of his power, ⁸ giving vengeance in a fire of flame to those who do not know God and to those who are not obeying the good-news of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁹ who will be suffering-punishment, the sentence of everlasting utter-destruction away from the face of the Lord, and away from the glory of his strength, ¹⁰ whenever he may come to be glorified in his holy-ones, and to be marveled at in that day in all those who have believed, (because our testimony to you was believed).

³ And they are singing the song of Moses the bondservant of God and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; your ways are righteous and true, the King of the nations. ⁴ Who should never fear you, Lord, and should glorify your name? Because only you are holy, because all the nations will be coming and will be worshiping in your sight, because your righteousnesses were manifested.

⁵ And I heard the messenger of the waters saying, You are righteous, who is and who was, the Holy One, because you judged these things;

² because true and righteous are his judgments, because he has judged the great prostitute, she who was corrupting the earth in her fornication and he has avenged the blood of his bondservants from her hand.

³ But the rulers of the sons of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, Think you that David honors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Has not David sent his servants to you to search the city and to spy it out and to overthrow it?

² What is this you think in judgment? Who are you that you said, I am righteousness before the Lord?

²¹ These things you have done and I kept silence. You thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself. But I will reprove you and set them in order before your eyes.

⁷ Shall they escape by wickedness? Cast down the peoples, in anger, O God.

²¹ Hand in hand, the evil man will not be unpunished, but the seed of the righteous will be delivered.

⁵ Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to Jehovah. Hand in hand, he will not be unpunished.

¹⁵ But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt that they might give him horses and many people. Shall he prosper? Shall he escape who does such things? Shall he break the covenant and yet escape?

¹⁸ For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant. And behold, he had given his hand and yet has done all these things. He will not escape.

¹⁹ And he said, O man are a great delight, do not fear. Peace be to you. Be strong, yes, be strong. And when he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.

³³ Serpents, offspring of vipers! How may you flee from the judgment of hell?

⁵³ Or do you think that I am not able now to plead with my Father and he will not stand beside me with more than twelve legions of messengers?

¹⁴ But he said to him, Man, who designated me a justice or a divider over you?

⁵⁸ And after a little bit, a different one saw him, and was saying, You also are one out of them.
But Peter said, Man, I am not.

⁶⁰ But Peter said, Man, I do not know what you say. And instantly, while he is still speaking, the rooster crowed.

³² Who, having fully known the ordinance of God, (that those practicing such things are worthy of death), are not only practicing the same things, but also are consenting with those who are practicing the same things.

³ For whenever they are saying, Peace and security; then sudden utter-destruction stands by them, just-like the travail a woman has in her womb, and they may never flee away from it.

³ how shall we flee, having neglected so-great a salvation, which having received at the beginning was spoken through the Lord, which was confirmed to us from those who heard it?

²⁵ Beware that you do not renounce the one who speaks. For if those men did not flee when they renounced the one who divinely-warned them upon the earth, much more we may not flee who are turning away from him, who is from the heavens;

⁶ And Jehovah passed by before him and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth,

¹⁸ Jehovah is slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.

²⁷ He sings before men and says, I have sinned and perverted what was right and it did not profit me. ²⁸ He has redeemed my soul from going into the pit and my life will behold the light.
²⁹ Behold, all these things God works twice, yes three times, with a man, ³⁰ to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.

¹¹ He says in his heart, God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it.

³⁸ But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity and did not destroy. Yes, he turned his anger away much and did not stir up all his wrath.

⁵ Because you, Lord, are good and ready to forgive and abundant in loving kindness to all those who call upon you.

¹⁵ But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

²⁴ O Jehovah, how great are your works! You have made them all in wisdom. The earth is full of your riches.

³ If you, Jehovah, should note iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? ⁴ But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be feared.

¹¹ Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

¹⁸ And therefore Jehovah will wait, that he may be gracious to you*. And therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you*, for Jehovah is a God of justice. All those who wait for him are fortunate.

⁷ I will make mention of the loving kindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah has bestowed on us and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
⁸ For he said, Surely, they are my people, sons that will not deal falsely. So he was their Savior. ⁹ In all their affliction he was afflicted and the messenger of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. And he bore them and carried them all the days of old.
¹⁰ But they rebelled and grieved his holy Spirit. Therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them.

¹² Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say, Return, you backsliding Israel, says Jehovah, I will not look in anger upon you*, for I am merciful, says Jehovah. I will not keep anger everlasting.
¹³ Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against Jehovah your God and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree and you* have not obeyed my voice, says Jehovah.

²² Return, you* backsliding sons, I will heal your* backslidings. Behold, we have come to you, for you are Jehovah our God. ²³ Truly it is in vain from the heights, the multitude on the mountains. Truly in Jehovah our God is the salvation of Israel.

¹⁰ and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name and say, We are delivered, that you* may do all these abominations?

²² Son of man, what is this proverb that you* have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged and every vision fails?
²³ Tell them therefore, The lord Jehovah says thus: I will make this proverb to cease and they will no more use it as a proverb in Israel, but say to them, The days are at hand and the fulfillment of every vision.

⁶³ that you may remember and be confounded and never open your mouth any more, because of your shame, when I have forgiven you all that you have done, says the lord Jehovah.

⁵ Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek Jehovah their God and David their king and will come with fear to Jehovah and to his goodness in the latter days.

² And he prayed to Jehovah and said, I beseech you, O Jehovah, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I hastened to flee to Tarshish, for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and relent you of the evil.

⁴⁸ But if that evil bondservant says in his heart, My lord is delaying to come; ⁴⁹ and may begin to beat his fellow bondservants and to eat and drink with the drunken;

¹⁷ Now having come to himself, he said, How many of my father’s hired servants are abounding, even of bread? But I am perishing here in famine! ¹⁸ After having risen up, I will be traveling to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned at heaven, and in your sight. ¹⁹ I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants. \ulnone\nosupersub

⁵ And as Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, hurry, come down; for it is essential for me to abide in your house today. ⁶ And having hurried, he came down and accepted him, rejoicing.
⁷ And when they saw it, they were all murmuring, saying, He has entered to board with a man, a sinner.
⁸ Now Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I repay them quadruple.

²⁵ whom God purposed as an atonement through the faith in his blood in an example of his righteousness, because of the passing over of the sins, having been done beforehand,

¹ Therefore what will we say? Are we remaining in sin, in order that grace may increase?

¹⁵ Therefore what? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? Let it not happen!

²² But what if God, willing to show his wrath and to make his power known, carried us, vessels of wrath having been framed for destruction, in much patience; ²³ and in order that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory,

¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, being rich toward all who are calling upon him;

²² Therefore, behold the kindness and severity of God, indeed severity upon those who fell, but kindness upon you, if you remain in the kindness of God : otherwise you also will be cut off.

³³ O the depth of the riches, and of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and untraceable his ways!

⁷ in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of his grace.

¹⁸ the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance among the holy-ones,

⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, because of his much love with which he loved us,

⁷ in order that in the coming ages, he might show the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness upon us in Christ Jesus.

⁸ This grace was given to me the least of all the holy-ones, to proclaim the good-news of the untraceable riches of Christ among the Gentiles;

¹⁶ in order that he may give to you, according to the riches of his glory, to be powerful with his power, through his Spirit in the inward man;

¹⁹ Now my God will be filling every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

²⁷ To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, who is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

² in order that their hearts might be encouraged, having been knitted together in love and in all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the full knowledge of the mystery of God and Father and of the Christ,

¹⁶ But I was shown-mercy because of this, in order that Jesus Christ might show all his patience in me as foremost, for a pattern of those who are afterward about to believe on him for everlasting life.

¹⁷ Command the rich in this current age, not to be cavalier, nor to have hope on the uncertainty of riches, but have hope in the living God, who is richly providing to us all things toward enjoyment;

⁴ But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love of mankind had appeared: ⁵ he saved us (not from any works done in righteousness, which we practiced), but according to his mercy, through the full-washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;

²⁰ when they previously were disobedient, when the patience of God was waiting in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water;

³ Knowing this first, that mockers will be coming in the last of the days, conducting-themselves according to their own lusts,

⁹ The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some deem slowness, but has patience toward us, not planning for any to perish, but for all to make room in your^\'b0 hearts for repentance.

¹⁵ And deem the patience of our Lord to be salvation; just-as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom which was given to him;

²⁰ Behold, I am standing at the door and knocking; if anyone hears my voice and if he opens the door, I will enter to him and will dine with him and he with me.

¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, as Jehovah had spoken.

¹⁷ And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians and they will go in after them and I will get for me honor upon Pharaoh and upon all his army, upon his chariots and upon his horsemen.

³⁰ But Sihon King of Heshbon would not let us pass by him, for Jehovah your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as at this day.

³⁴ Is not this laid up in store with me, sealed up among my treasures?

²⁰ For it was of Jehovah to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them as Jehovah commanded Moses.

⁶ Why then do you* harden your* hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? When he had worked wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go and they departed?

⁸ Now be you* not stiff-necked, as your* fathers were, but yield yourselves to Jehovah and enter into his sanctuary, which he has made holy everlasting and serve Jehovah your* God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you*.

¹³ And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God. But he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to Jehovah, the God of Israel.

³⁰ that the evil man is reserved to the day of calamity? That they are led forth to the day of wrath?

⁸ Harden not your* heart, as in the provocation, as the day of trial in the wilderness,

⁵ The Lord at your right hand will strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

⁴ Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

¹ He who, being often reproved, hardens his neck will suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy.

¹⁴ Because God will bring every work with every hidden thing, whether good or evil into judgment.

⁴ Because I knew that you are obstinate and your neck is an iron muscle and your brow brass,

⁷ But the house of Israel will not listen to you, for they will not listen to me. For all the house of Israel are of a hard forehead and of a stiff heart.

²⁰ But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne. And they took his glory from him,

¹⁰ For they do not know to do right, says Jehovah, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

¹¹ But they refused to listen and pulled away the shoulder and stopped their ears, that they might not hear. ¹² Yes, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law and the words which Jehovah of hosts had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from Jehovah of hosts.

²⁵ For brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant of this mystery (that you may not be too prudent with yourselves), that a hardening has become partially to Israel, till the fullness of the Gentiles should enter;

¹³ But encourage one another every day, until what is called today; in order that not anyone of you may be hardened by the deception of sin.

¹⁵ while it is said, ‘If you hear his voice today, do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.’

⁷ he again determines a certain day as today, saying in David, after so-much time, (just-as it has been said beforehand), ‘Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.’

³ Your gold and silver have tarnished, and their tarnish will be for a testimony against you and will be eating your flesh like fire. You have stored up treasure in your^\'b0 last days.

⁹ The Lord knows how to rescue the devout out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous to a day of judgment to be punished;

⁷ But the current heavens and the earth have been stored up for fire by the same word, being kept to the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

⁶ And the messengers who did not keep to their own principality, but having left their own house, he has kept to the judgment of the great day in eternal bonds under blackness.

¹⁷ for the great day of his wrath has come, and who is able to stand?

¹¹ For the work of a man he will render to him and cause every man to find according to his ways.

¹² Also to you, O Lord, belongs loving kindness, because you render to every man according to his work.

² Because their heart meditates oppression and their lips talk of mischief.

¹² If you say, Behold, we did not know this, Does not he who weighs the hearts consider it? And he who keeps your soul, does he not know it? And will not he render to every man according to his work?

¹⁰ Say you* of the righteous, that it is well, for they will eat the fruit of their practices. ¹¹ Woe to the wicked! It is ill with him, for what his hands have done will be done to him.

¹⁰ I, Jehovah, search the mind. I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his practices.

¹⁹ great in counsel and mighty in work, whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his practices,

³⁰ Therefore I will judge you*, O house of Israel, each one according to his ways, says the lord Jehovah. Return and turn yourselves from all your* transgressions, so iniquity will not be your* ruin.

²⁷ For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his messengers, and then he will be giving to each one according to his practice.

³⁴ Then the King will be saying to those at his right, Come-here, those who have been blessed from my Father, inherit the kingdom which has been prepared for you from the conception of the world: ³⁵ for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you led me in; ³⁶ I was naked and you dressed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me.
³⁷ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry and nourish you? Or thirsty and gave you a drink? ³⁸ But when did we see you as a stranger and lead you in? Or naked and dressed you? ³⁹ But when did we see you sick or in prison and came to you?
⁴⁰ And when the King answers, he will say to them, Assuredly I am saying to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of these, my brethren, even the least, you did it to me. ⁴¹ Then he will also say to them at the left, Travel away from me, you those who have been cursed into the everlasting fire which has been prepared for the devil and his messengers: ⁴² for I was hungry and you did not give me anything to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink; ⁴³ I was a stranger and you did not lead me in; naked and you did not dress me; sick and in prison and you did not visit me.
⁴⁴ Then they will also answer, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, or as a stranger or naked, or sick or in prison, and did not serve you?
⁴⁵ Then he will answer them, saying, Assuredly I am saying to you, Inasmuch as you did it not to one of these, the least, neither did you do it to me. ⁴⁶ And these will be going away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

²² Do you have faith? Have it to yourself in God’s sight! The fortunate one is not judging himself in what he is approving.

⁸ Now the one who is planting and the one who is watering are one, but each one will be receiving his own reward according to his own labor.

⁵ So-then, do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord should come, who will both be illuminating the hidden things of darkness and will be manifesting the plans of the hearts, and then the praise from God will happen for each.

¹⁰ For it is essential for all of us to appear before the judicial-seat of the Christ; in order that each one may get back the things done in the body, for what he practiced, whether good or evil.

⁷ Do not be misled. God is not ridiculed; for whatever a man sows, he will also be reaping this thing. ⁸ Because he who is sowing to his own flesh will be reaping corruption from his flesh, but he who is sowing to the Spirit will be reaping everlasting life from the Spirit.

²³ And I will be killing her children with death, and all the congregations will know that I am he who is searching the kidneys and hearts and I will be giving to you, each one according to your works.

¹² And I saw the dead, the greatest and the least, standing in the sight of the throne, and books were opened and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life and the dead were judged out of the things which have been written in the books, according to their works.

¹² Behold, I am coming shortly, and my reward is with me, to give to each one as his work will be.

⁹ Yet the righteous will hold on his way. And he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.

¹⁴ Wait for Jehovah. Be strong and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Jehovah.

³ Trust in Jehovah and do good. Dwell in the land and feed on his faithfulness.

³⁴ Wait for Jehovah and keep his way and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When sinners are cut off, you will see it.

²⁵ Jehovah is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. ²⁶ It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.

¹² And because lawlessness will be multiplied, the love of the many will be cold. ¹³ But he who has endured to the end, this one will be saved.

¹⁵ But that seed in the good soil, these are such as in a good and beautiful heart, having heard the word, hold-onto it and are bearing-fruit with endurance.

⁴⁴ How are you able to believe, receiving glory from one another, and yet you are not seeking the glory that comes from the God alone?

⁶⁶ Many of his disciples went away from this speech to things left behind and were walking no more with him. ⁶⁷ Therefore Jesus said to the twelve, You will not also be going away, will you?
⁶⁸ Therefore Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom will we go? You have the words of everlasting life. ⁶⁹ And we have believed and have known that you are the Christ the Son of the living God.

¹⁰ But glory and honor and peace to every man who is working good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek;

²³ For the compensations of sin is death, but the gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁸ For I reason that the sufferings of this current time are not worthy of complaint to the glory which is about to be revealed to us.

²⁴ For we were saved in hope; but hope which is seen, is not hope; for why does anyone even hope for what he sees? ²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, then we are waiting for it through endurance.

²³ and in order that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory,

⁵³ For it is essential this corruptible body to be clothed with incorruption and this mortal body to be clothed with immortality. ⁵⁴ But whenever this corruptible body has been clothed with incorruption and whenever this mortal has been clothed with immortality, then the word that has been written will become so, Death is swallowed up in victory.

⁵⁸ So-then my beloved brethren, become grounded, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not empty in the Lord.

¹⁶ Hence we are not depressed, but even if the outward man is decaying, but yet our inward man is renewed day in and day out. ¹⁷ For the momentary light weight of our affliction, is working for us a surpassingly-better everlasting weight of glory; ¹⁸ because we are not noting the things which are seen, but note the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are everlasting.

⁹ Now we should not be depressed in well doing; for we will be reaping in our own time, if we do not faint.

¹⁰ but now has been made manifest through the appearing of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who indeed has done-away-with death and has illuminated both life and incorruption through the good-news,

⁷ I have fought the good fight. I have completed the course. I have kept the faith. ⁸ Furthermore the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will be giving to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.

¹² in order that you should not become sluggish, but imitators of those who are inheriting the promises through faith and patience.

¹⁵ And thus Abraham, having had patience, obtained the promise.

³⁵ Therefore do not cast away your boldness, which has great reward. ³⁶ For you have need of endurance, in order that, having done the will of God, you may get the promise for yourselves.

⁷ Therefore brethren, have patience until the presence of the Lord. Behold, the farmer is waiting for the precious fruit of the earth, having patience over it, until it should receive the morning and evening rainfall. ⁸ You also, have patience; establish your hearts, because the presence of the Lord has drawn near.

⁷ in order that the trial of your faith, ( being much more precious than gold, which perishes), even now being tested through fire, may be found for praise and honor and to glory in the revelation of Jesus Christ.
⁸ You love whom you have not seen; now you believe in whom you do not see; in both you are glad with unspeakable and glorified joy;

¹³ But accordingly you are sharing in the sufferings of the Christ with us, rejoice, in order that you may also rejoice in the revelation of his glory, being glad. ¹⁴ If you are reproached in the name of Christ, you are fortunate, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. He is indeed blasphemed according to their manner, but he is glorified according to your manner.

²⁵ And this is the promise which he promised to us–everlasting life.

¹⁰ Let no one fear the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some from you into prison, in order that you may be tested and you will have affliction ten days. Become faithful to death and I will be giving you the crown of life.
¹¹ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the congregations. He who overcomes may never be hurt from the second death.

¹³ These are of those who rebel against the light. They do not know the ways of it, nor abide in the paths of it.

¹¹ Who knows the power of your anger and your wrath according to the fear that is due to you?

¹⁰ Through pride a vain man causes contention, but wisdom is with the well-advised.

¹⁰ Who is among you* that fears Jehovah, who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness and has no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah and rely upon his God.

⁶ Who can stand before his indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire and the rocks are broken apart by him.

¹⁸ He who believes in him is not judged. He who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
¹⁹ Now this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. ²⁰ For everyone who is practicing evil, hates the light, and is not coming to the light, in order that his works should not convict him. ²¹ But he who practices the truth comes to the light, in order that his works should be manifest, that they have been worked in God.

¹⁷ But gratitude to God, that, though you were bondservants of sin, you obeyed from the heart the pattern of teaching to which you were given;

¹⁶ But not all obeyed the good-news; for Isaiah says, ‘Lord, who has believed our report?’

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of anything of the things which Christ did not work through me, except for the obedience of the Gentiles, in word and works,

¹⁶ But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor the congregations of God.

⁸ giving vengeance in a fire of flame to those who do not know God and to those who are not obeying the good-news of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹⁰ and in all deception of unrighteousness in those who are perishing, because they did not accept the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will be sending them a working of error, that they may believe in the lie; ¹² in order that they all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but were delighted in unrighteousness.

³ If anyone is teaching a different teaching and is not coming near to sound words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ and to the teaching which is according to godliness; ⁴ he has been puffed up, knowing nothing, but being mentally diseased concerning debates and quarrels over words, out of which become: envy, strife, blasphemies, evil suspicions,

⁹ But avoid foolish debates and genealogies and strifes and quarrels about-law; for they are unprofitable and futile.

¹² Beware brethren, lest there will be an evil heart of unbelief in anyone of you, in withdrawing away from the living God. ¹³ But encourage one another every day, until what is called today; in order that not anyone of you may be hardened by the deception of sin.

⁹ and having been completed, he became the cause of everlasting salvation to all those who are obeying him;

²⁷ but a certain fearful expectancy of judgment and a zeal of fire which is about to eat the adversaries.

⁸ In faith, Abraham obeyed, being called to go out to the place which he was about to receive for an inheritance, and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

¹ Likewise, wives be subject to your own husbands; in order that, even if some are disobedient to the word, they might be gained without a word through the conduct of their wives;

¹⁷ Because the time for judgment is to begin from the house of God, and if it begins first from us, what will be the end of those who are disobedient to the good-news of God?

¹⁰ he will also be drinking out of the wine of the fury of God of which has been mingled undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tormented in fire and brimstone in the sight of the holy messengers and in the sight of the Lamb;

¹⁹ And the great city became divided into three parts and the cities of the nations fell and Babylon the great was remembered in God’s sight, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath.

²⁷ when your* fear comes as a storm and your* calamity comes on as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you*.
²⁸ Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me,

⁴ Behold, all souls are mine, as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine. The soul that sins, it will die.

² You* only I have known of all the families of the earth. Therefore I will visit upon you* all your* iniquities.

²⁰ Then he began to reproach the cities in which most of his miracles had happened, because they did not repent. ²¹ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles had happened in Tyre and Sidon which have happened in you, they would have repented long-ago in sackcloth and ashes. ²² However I say to you, It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. ²³ And you, Capernaum, who has been exalted to heaven, you will be stepping down to Hades, because if the miracles had happened in Sodom which have happened in you, it would have remained till today. ²⁴ However I say to you, that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.

²⁶ For what is a man profited, if he gains the whole world, and should forfeit his soul? Or what shall a man give as an exchange for his soul?

³⁰ because my eyes have seen your salvation ³¹ which you have prepared in the face of all peoples. ³² He is a light for revelation of the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel.

⁴⁷ But that bondservant, who knew his lord’s will and did not prepare, nor did according to his will, will be whipped with many lashes; ⁴⁸ but he who did not know and did things worthy of lashes, will be whipped with few lashes. But to whomever much is given, much will be required from him, and to whom they consign much, they will be asking even-more from him.

⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

²⁶ God, having raised up his young-servant Jesus, sent him to you first, blessing you in turning each of you away from your wickednesses.

¹⁸ But having heard these things, they were quiet and glorifying God, saying, Consequently, God has also given repentance to the Gentiles into life.

²⁶ Brethren, sons from the race of Abraham and those who fear God among you, the word of this salvation was sent forth to you.

⁴⁶ But Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you. But since you are thrusting it away from yourselves and are judging yourselves unworthy of everlasting life. Behold, we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded to us, saying, ‘I have placed you for a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the outermost parts of the earth.’

⁵ Now as Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was being troubled in the spirit, thoroughly testifying to the Jews: the Christ Jesus. ⁶ Now while they were resisting us and blaspheming God, he shook-off his garment and said to them, Your blood is upon your own heads. I am clean. I will be traveling to the Gentiles from hereafter.

²¹ thoroughly testifying both to Jews and to Greeks the repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

²⁰ But I was proclaiming first to them in Damascus, and in Jerusalem, and then to all the region of Judea and to the Gentiles, to repent and to turn to God, practicing works worthy of repentance.

¹⁷ Now after three days Paul happened to call together those who are the foremost of the Jews and when they came together, he said to them, Brethren, I have done nothing adverse to the Jewish people or the customs of our forefathers. I, a prisoner from Jerusalem, was given up into the hands of the Romans.

²⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, that this salvation from God is sent to the Gentiles and they will be hearing it.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the good-news of the Christ; for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes; both to the Jew first and to the Greek.

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews only and not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also. ³⁰ Since God is one, it is he who will be making righteous the circumcision out of faith and the uncircumcision through the faith.

⁹ Therefore is this good-fortune upon the circumcision or also upon the uncircumcision? For we say that his faith was counted to Abraham for righteousness. ¹⁰ Therefore how was it counted? When he was in circumcision or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. ¹¹ And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith of which he had in the uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, even through uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be counted to them; ¹² and the father of circumcision, to those not only from the circumcision, but to those who also are marching in the footprints of the faith of our father Abraham which he had in uncircumcision.

²⁴ whom he also invited, not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles?

⁸ But I am saying that Christ Jesus has become a servant of the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers, ⁹ and that the Gentiles are to glorify God on behalf of his mercy; as it has been written, ‘Because of this, I will profess you among the Gentiles and sing-praise to your name.’

¹⁵ We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; ¹⁶ knowing that a man is not made righteous from the works of the law, if it is not through the faith of Jesus Christ. Also we believed in Christ Jesus, in order that we might be made righteous from our faith in Christ and not from the works of the law, because no flesh will be made righteous from the works of the law.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bondservant nor free man, there is no male and female; for you all are one in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ Hence remember, that previously you, (the Gentiles in the flesh), who are called uncircumcision by what is called circumcision, made by hands in the flesh; ¹² that you were separate from Christ at the time, having been alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and were godless in the world. ¹³ But now in Christ Jesus you who were previously from afar have become near to him in the blood of the Christ. ¹⁴ For he is our peace, who made us both one and tore-down the middle wall of the fence, ¹⁵ having done-away-with the hostility in his flesh, which is the Law of commandments in decrees; in order that he might create in himself the two into one new man, thus making peace; ¹⁶ and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility in himself. ¹⁷ And when he came, he proclaimed the good-news of peace to you who were from afar and peace to those who were near;

¹¹ where there is no Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, or free man, but Christ is all things and in all things.

⁶ if indeed it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who are afflicting you;

²⁶ Jehovah lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

³⁰ Therefore Jehovah, the God of Israel, says, I said indeed that your house and the house of your father, should walk before me everlasting, but now Jehovah says, Be it far from me, for those who honor me I will honor and those who despise me will be lightly esteemed.

²¹ Acquaint now yourself with him and be at peace. By this good will come to you.

² He who walks uprightly and works righteousness and speaks truth in his heart,

¹¹ Jehovah will give strength to his people. Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

³⁷ Keep as the perfect man and behold the upright, because there is a happy end to the man of peace.

⁶ because he will never be moved. The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
⁷ He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is fixed, trusting in Jehovah. ⁸ His heart is established, he will not be afraid, even until he looks over his adversaries.
⁹ He has scattered, he has given to the poor. His righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted with honor.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand, in her left hand are riches and honor. ¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace.

⁷ Wisdom is the principal thing. Get wisdom, yes, get understanding with all your substance.
⁸ Exalt her and she will promote you. She will bring you to honor when you embrace her.
⁹ She will give to your head a wreath of beauty and of charm; she will deliver a crown of beauty to you.

¹⁸ Riches and honor are with me, durable wealth and righteousness.

¹⁸ A wicked man earns deceitful wages, but he who sows righteousness has a sure reward.

¹² Jehovah, you will set peace for us, for you have also worked all our works for us.

¹⁷ And the work of righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence everlasting.

¹⁸ Oh that you had listened to my commandments! Then your peace would have been as a river and your righteousness as the waves of the sea.

²² There is no peace, says Jehovah, to the wicked.

¹² For you* will go out with joy and be led forth with peace. The mountains and the hills will break forth before you* into singing and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.

¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near, says Jehovah and I will heal him.

⁶ Behold, I will bring it health and cure and I will cure them. And I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.

¹³ And if indeed the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

⁷⁹ to appear upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death; to steer our feet into the way of peace.

⁴⁸ and said to them, Whoever accepts this little child in my name accepts me, and whoever accepts me, accepts the one who sent me; for he who is least among you all, this one will be great.

³⁷ The fortunate bondservants, whom the lord, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly I am saying to you, that he will gird himself, and will have them recline at the meal, and having passed by them, he will be serving them.

⁴² saying, If you had known in this day, even you, for-sure, the things which are for your peace! But now they were hidden from your eyes.

¹⁴ And when the hour came, he leaned-back, and the twelve apostles together with him.

²⁶ If anyone serves me, let him follow me, and where I am, my servant will also be there. And if anyone serves me, the Father will be honoring him.

²⁷ I am leaving peace with you. I am giving my peace to you; not like the world gives, I am giving to you. Let your heart not be disturbed, nor let it be cowardly.

³³ I have spoken to you these things, in order that you may have peace in me. You have affliction in the world, but have courage; I have overcome the world.

³⁵ but in every nation, he who fears him and is working righteousness, is acceptable to him.

⁷ Everlasting life to those who indeed by endurance in good work are seeking glory and honor and incorruption.

⁹ affliction and distress upon every soul of man who is working evil, both of the Jew first and of the Greek.

¹ Therefore having been made righteous from faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

⁶ For the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Spirit is life and peace;

²¹ Or does the potter not have authority over the clay, to make out of the same batch one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?

¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not about food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹³ Now the God of hope may fill you with all joy and peace in the believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.

⁶ For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision prevails over anything in Christ Jesus, but faith working through love.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,

⁷ And the peace of God, which is superior to all perception, will be guarding your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

²² Do you see that faith was working together with his works and his faith was completed from his works?

¹³ Who is wise and knowledgeable among you? Let him show out of his good conduct his works in meekness of wisdom.

⁷ in order that the trial of your faith, ( being much more precious than gold, which perishes), even now being tested through fire, may be found for praise and honor and to glory in the revelation of Jesus Christ.

⁴ And when the Chief-Shepherd is made manifest, you will be getting the unfading crown of glory.

¹⁷ For Jehovah your* God, he is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty and the awesome, who regards not persons, nor takes reward.

¹⁹ You will not distort justice. You will not respect persons, neither will you take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.

⁷ Now therefore let the fear of Jehovah be upon you*. Take heed and do it. For there is no unrighteousness with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.

¹⁹ who does not respect the persons of rulers, nor regards the rich more than the poor. For they all are the work of his hands.

²³ These also are from the wise:
To have respect of persons in judgment is not good.
²⁴ He who says to a wicked man, You are righteous, peoples will curse him, nations will defy him.

¹⁶ And they send their disciples to him, with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God in truth, and do not care concerning anyone’s appearance; for you do not look at the countenance of men.

²¹ And they asked him, saying, Teacher, we know that you say and teach correctly, and do not accept the countenance of men, but in truth, are teaching the way of God.

³⁴ Now Peter opened his mouth and said, In truth, I comprehend that God is not one who shows-favoritism

⁶ Now they did not contribute anything to me, that is from those of repute and from those reputed to be something (what sort of person they were previously, carries nothing of any-value to me; God does not accept the countenance of man).

⁹ And the lords, do the same things toward them and be lax with the threatening; knowing that your own Lord is also in the heavens and there is no favoritism from him.

²⁵ But he who does wrong will get back what he did wrong and there is no favoritism with God.

¹⁷ And if you call upon the Father, who impartially judges according to the work of each one, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your foreign residency here;

²⁶ Cursed is every man who does not continue in all things written in the book of the law, to do them. And all the people will say, Truly.

⁴⁹ Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters and she did not strengthen the hand of a poor and needy man. ⁵⁰ And they were haughty and committed abomination before me. Therefore I took them away as I saw fit.

²² However I say to you, It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.

²⁴ However I say to you, that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.

¹² I say to you, It will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
¹³ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles had happened in Tyre and Sidon, which have happened in you, they would have repented long-ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. ¹⁴ However it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you. ¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, who has been exalted to heaven. You will be stepping down to Hades.

¹¹ Jesus answered, You have no authority against me, except what was given to you from above. He who gave me to you has the greater sin because of this.

³⁰ Therefore indeed, God overlooked the times of ignorance. Hereafter, he is commanding all men everywhere to repent; ³¹ because he has established a future day in which to judge the inhabited-earth in righteousness in the man whom he has determined beforehand; having provided the faith to all, by having raised him from the dead.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men and upon those holding back the truth in unrighteousness; ¹⁹ because what is known of God is apparent among them; for God manifested it to them. ²⁰ For the invisible things of him are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being perceived by the things made, both his eternal power and divinity; that they may be without defense; ²¹ because having known God, they did not glorify him as God, nor gave-thanks, but became-futile in their reasonings and their heart was darkened without understanding.

³² Who, having fully known the ordinance of God, (that those practicing such things are worthy of death), are not only practicing the same things, but also are consenting with those who are practicing the same things.

¹⁴ For whenever the Gentiles, not having the law, practice the things of the law by nature, these, not having the law, are the law to themselves; ¹⁵ who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying together with their hearts, and between one another, their reasonings are accusing or either defending them; ¹⁶ in the day when God will be judging the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, according to my teaching of the good-news.

¹⁹ Now we know how-much, as many things as the law says, it is speaking to those in the law; in order that every mouth may be sealed and all the world may become under the sentence of God; ²⁰ because no flesh will be made righteous in his sight from the works of the law; for through the law comes the full knowledge of sin.

¹⁵ For the law is working wrath; for where there is no law, neither is there transgression.

⁷ Therefore what shall we say? Is the law sin? Let it not happen! But, I did not know sin, except through the law; for I also did not know coveting. ⁸ But sin, having taken a starting-point, worked in me through the commandment all manner of coveting; for separate from the law sin is dead. ⁹ But I was previously living separate from the law, but when the commandment came, sin lived again through me and I died; ¹⁰ and the commandment which was to life, it was found in me to be to death; ¹¹ for sin, having taken a starting-point through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me.

³ For the law being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh;

²¹ I became like the lawless to those who are lawless, (not being lawless to God, but lawful to Christ), in order that I might gain the lawless.

⁷ But if the service of death, on scriptures having been engraved in stones, happened in glory, so-that the sons of Israel were not able to stare at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which was being done-away-with. ⁸ How will the service of the Spirit not rather be in glory? ⁹ For if the service of condemnation has glory, how much rather is the service of righteousness abounding in glory.

¹⁶ knowing that a man is not made righteous from the works of the law, if it is not through the faith of Jesus Christ. Also we believed in Christ Jesus, in order that we might be made righteous from our faith in Christ and not from the works of the law, because no flesh will be made righteous from the works of the law.
¹⁷ But if seeking to be made righteous in Christ; if we ourselves were also found to be sinners, is then Christ a servant of sin? Let it not happen! ¹⁸ For if I build up again those things which I have torn-down, I establish myself as a transgressor. ¹⁹ For through the law I died to the law, in order that I might live to God.

¹⁰ For as many as are from the works of the law are under a curse; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things which have been written in the book of the law, and to practice them.’

²² But the Scriptures locked up together all things under sin, in order that the promise which comes from the faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

¹⁰ For who ever will be keeping the whole law and yet will trip in one point, he has become liable to all of it.

¹² And I saw the dead, the greatest and the least, standing in the sight of the throne, and books were opened and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life and the dead were judged out of the things which have been written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them and they were judged each one according to their works. ¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, which is the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And if anyone was not found, having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

¹ And now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances, which I teach you*, to do them, that you* may live and go in and possess the land which Jehovah, the God of your* fathers, gives you*.

¹ And Moses called to all Israel and said to them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I speak in your* ears this day, that you* may learn them and observe to do them.

³ Hear therefore, O Israel and observe to do it, that it may be well with you and that you* may increase mightily, as Jehovah, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

¹² It is not in heaven, that you should say, Who will go up for us to heaven and bring it to us and make us to hear it, that we may do it? ¹³ Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us and make us to hear it, that we may do it? ¹⁴ But the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

² And do not enter into judgment with your servant. Because in your sight no man living is righteous.

¹¹ And I gave them my statutes and showed them my ordinances, which if a man does, he will live in them.

³⁰ And as for you, son of man, the sons of your people talk of you by the walls and in the doors of the houses and speak one to another, each one to his brother, saying, Come, I beseech you* and hear what is the word that comes forth from Jehovah.
³¹ And they come to you as the people come and they sit before you as my people. And they hear your words, but do not do them. For with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.
³² And behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of he who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument. For they hear your words, but they do not do them.
³³ And when this occurs, (behold, it comes), then they will know that a prophet has been among them.

²¹ Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who is practicing the will of my Father, the one in the heavens. ²² Many will be saying to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not: prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and practice many miracles in your name? ²³ And then I will confess to them, I never knew you. Depart from me, you who are working lawlessness.


²⁴ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and practices them, he will be similar to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock; ²⁵ and the rain came down and the rivers came up and the winds blew and fell down upon that house, and it did not fall; for it had been founded upon the rock. ²⁶ And everyone hearing these words of mine and who is not doing them, will be similar to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand; ²⁷ and the rain came down and the rivers came up and the winds blew and hit that house and it fell and great was its fall.

²¹ But he answered and said to them, My mother and my brethren are those who hear the word of God and are doing it.

²⁵ And behold, a certain professor of the law stood up, testing him and saying, Teacher, by having done what, will I be inheriting everlasting life?
²⁶ But he said to him, What has been written in the law? How do you read it?
²⁷ But he answered and said, ‘You will love the Lord your God from your whole heart and from your whole soul and from your whole strength and from your whole mind, and your neighbor like yourself.’
²⁸ But he said to him, You have answered correctly. Do this and you will live.
²⁹ But he, wishing to make himself righteous, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

¹⁴ I say to you, This one went down to his house, having been made righteous rather than that man, because everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, but he who is humbling himself will be exalted.

³⁹ and everyone who believes is made righteous in this one; you were not able to be made righteous from all the things of which were in the Law of Moses.

²⁵ For circumcision indeed profits, if you practice the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

²⁰ because no flesh will be made righteous in his sight from the works of the law; for through the law comes the full knowledge of sin.

²³ for all have sinned and come-short of the glory of God.

³⁰ Since God is one, it is he who will be making righteous the circumcision out of faith and the uncircumcision through the faith.

² For if Abraham was made righteous out of works, he has grounds for boasting, but not toward God. ³ For what does the Scripture say? ‘And Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness.’ ⁴ Now to the one who is working, the reward is not counted according to favor, but according to debt. ⁵ But to the one who is not working, but believes on the one who makes righteous the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

⁵ For Moses writes of the righteousness which is from the law, ‘The man who practices those things will be living in them.’

¹⁶ knowing that a man is not made righteous from the works of the law, if it is not through the faith of Jesus Christ. Also we believed in Christ Jesus, in order that we might be made righteous from our faith in Christ and not from the works of the law, because no flesh will be made righteous from the works of the law.

¹¹ Now it is evident that no one is made righteous in the law before God, because, ‘The righteous will be living from faith.’ ¹² Now the law is not from faith, but, ‘The man who does them will live in them.’

⁴ You have been done-away-with, cut off from the Christ, you who are made righteous by the law; you have fallen from the grace of God. \ulnone\nosupersub

²² But become doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. ²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he resembles a man considering his face (which was his from birth) in a mirror. ²⁴ For he has considered himself, and has gone away and immediately forgot what sort of man he was. ²⁵ But he who has peered into the complete law, the law of freedom, and has remained in it, this one, having not become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of works, this one will be fortunate in his doing.

²¹ Was not Abraham our father made righteous from works, having offered up Isaac his son upon the altar? ²² Do you see that faith was working together with his works and his faith was completed from his works? ²³ And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ‘And Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness,' and he was called the friend of God. ²⁴ Now-then, are you seeing that a man is made righteous from works and not from faith alone? ²⁵ Now likewise, was not Rahab the prostitute also made righteous from works, when she accepted the messengers and put them out a different way?

²⁹ If you know that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who is practicing righteousness has been born from him.

⁷ Let no one mislead you, my little-children. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just-as that man is righteous.

⁷ For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them, as Jehovah our God is whenever we call upon him?

¹⁹ He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel. ²⁰ He has not dealt so with any nation. And as for his ordinances, they have not known them.
Praise Jehovah.

¹⁶ who permitted all the nations in the generations which have gone-by, to conduct-themselves in their own ways.

³⁰ Therefore indeed, God overlooked the times of ignorance. Hereafter, he is commanding all men everywhere to repent;

¹² For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. And as many as have sinned under the law will be judged through the law.

²⁷ And the uncircumcision by nature who is completing the law, will be judging you, who are a transgressor of the law through the writing
and circumcision.

¹ Therefore what is the supremacy of the Jew? Or what is the profit of circumcision? ² Much, according to every manner! For indeed, first, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

¹⁴ Or is not even nature itself teaching you, that, if a man indeed has long-hair, it is a dishonor to him?

¹² that you were separate from Christ at the time, having been alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and were godless in the world.

⁸ Furthermore brethren, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are righteous, as many as are pure, as many as are lovely, as many as have good-repute; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, reason on these things.

⁸ And they heard the sound of Jehovah God walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah God among the trees of the garden.
⁹ And Jehovah God called to the man and said to him, Where are you?
¹⁰ And he said, I heard your sound in the garden and I was afraid, because I was naked. And I hid myself.
¹¹ And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you that you should not eat?

⁵ Did he not himself say to me, She is my sister? And she, even she herself said, He is my brother. In the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands I have done this.

²¹ And they said one to another, We are truly guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul when he besought us and we would not hear. Therefore this distress has come upon us. ²² And Reuben answered them, saying, Did I not speak to you*, saying, Sin not against the child and you* would not hear? Therefore also, behold, his blood is required.

⁴⁴ The king said moreover to Shimei, You know all the evil which your heart has known, what you did to David my father. Therefore Jehovah will return your evil upon your own head.

⁶ I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go. My heart will not reproach me so long as I live.

²² Because also your own heart knows many times that you yourself likewise have cursed others.

⁹ Now when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, they were going out one by one, having begun from the elder ones and Jesus was being left alone, and the woman being in his midst.

¹ Now Paul, having staring to ward the council, said, Men, brethren, I have behaved-as a Jewish citizen to ward God in all good conscience till this day.

¹⁶ But I apply myself in this, having a guilt-free conscience always toward God and men.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men and upon those holding back the truth in unrighteousness; ¹⁹ because what is known of God is apparent among them; for God manifested it to them.

¹ I say the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience is testifying together with me in the Holy Spirit,

¹² For this is our boasting, the testimony of our conscience, that in clarity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we conducted ourselves in the world and even-more toward you.

¹¹ Therefore knowing the fear of the Lord, we are persuading men, but we have been manifested to God, and I hope to have also been manifested in your consciences.

² through the hypocrisy from the speakers of lies, having been branded in their own conscience;

¹⁵ Indeed, all things are clean to the clean, but nothing is clean to those who have been defiled and are unbelieving, but both their mind and their conscience have been defiled.

¹⁹ And we know in this that we are from the truth and will persuade our hearts before him; ²⁰ because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart and he knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have boldness toward God;

⁶ And the heavens will declare his righteousness, because God is judge himself. Selah.

¹⁷ I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous man and the wicked man, because there is a time for every purpose and for every work there.

⁹ Rejoice, O young man, in your youth and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth and walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes. But know, that upon all these things God will bring you into judgment.

³¹ But whenever the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the holy messengers with him. Then he will be sitting upon the throne of his glory; ³² and all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will be separating them one from another, like the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; ³³ and he will indeed stand the sheep at his right, but the goats at the left.

¹⁷ For there is not anything hid, that will not become apparent; nor anything secret, that will not be known and may come into apparent view.

²² For the Father is judging no one, but has given all judgment to the Son; ²³ in order that all may honor the Son, just-as they are honoring the Father. He who is not honoring the Son, is not honoring the Father who sent him.
²⁴ Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, He who hears my word and believes in the one who sent me, has everlasting life, and is not coming into judgment, but has stepped out of death into the life.
²⁵ Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. ²⁶ For just-like the Father has life in himself, so he also gave to the Son, to have life in himself, ²⁷ and he also gave authority to him to make judgment, because he is a son of man. ²⁸ Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs will be hearing his voice, ²⁹ and will travel out; those who have practiced good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

⁴⁸ He who is rejecting me and is not receiving my declarations, has that which judges him; the word that I spoke that will be judging him in the last day.

⁴² And he commanded us to preach to the people and to thoroughly testify that he is the one who has been determined by God to be judge of the living and the dead.

⁶ Let it not happen! Otherwise how will God judge the world?

¹⁰ But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you also, why do you scorn your brother? For we will all be standing-before the judicial-seat of Christ. ¹¹ For it has been written, ‘ As I live, says the Lord, that every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will confess to God.’ ¹² Therefore consequently, each of us will be giving an account concerning himself to God.

²⁵ (14:24) Now to the one who is able to establish you^\'b0 according to my good-news and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept-silent in times everlasting, \ulnone\nosupersub

¹¹ For I am making known to you, brethren, the good-news which was proclaimed by me, that it is not according to man.

¹¹ according to the good-news of the glory of the blessed God, to which I was entrusted.

⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, who has been raised from the dead, was born out of the seed of David, according to my good-news;

¹ Therefore, I am thoroughly testifying in the sight of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge the living and the dead according to his appearing and his kingdom.

⁸ Furthermore the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will be giving to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.

²⁷ And inasmuch as it is laid up for men to die once but after this is the judgment;

⁵ who will be giving account to the one holding ready to judge the living and the dead.

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and the one who sits upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

⁴ Because Jehovah has chosen Jacob to himself, Israel for his own possession.

²⁵ In Jehovah all the seed of Israel will be justified and will glory.

¹ Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel and have come forth out of the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of Jehovah and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness ² (for they call themselves of the holy city and steady themselves upon the God of Israel, Jehovah of hosts is his name):

⁴ Do not trust in lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, are these.
⁵ For if you* thoroughly amend your* ways and your* practices, if you* thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor, ⁶ if you* do not oppress the traveler, the fatherless and the widow and shed not innocent blood in this place, nor walk after other gods to your* own hurt, ⁷ then I will cause you* to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your* fathers from of old to everlasting.
⁸ Behold, you* trust in lying words, that cannot profit. ⁹ Will you* steal, murder and commit adultery and swear falsely and burn incense to Baal and walk after other gods that you* have not known, ¹⁰ and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name and say, We are delivered, that you* may do all these abominations?

¹¹ The heads of it judge for a bribe and the priests of it teach for a wage and the prophets of it divine for money.
Yet they lean upon Jehovah and say, Is not Jehovah in the midst of us? No evil will come upon us.

¹¹ In that day you will not be put to shame for all your practices, in which you have transgressed against me. For then I will take away out of the midst of you those who rejoice in your pride and you will no more be haughty in my holy mountain.

⁹ Do not think to say among yourselves, We have Abraham for our father; for I say to you, that God is able to lift up children out of these stones for Abraham.

¹¹ But I am saying to you, that many will be coming from the east and the west, and will be reclining with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens; ¹² but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness–the weeping and the gnashing of teeth will be there.

²⁸ But he said to him, You have answered correctly. Do this and you will live.

⁴⁵ Do not think that I will be accusing you to the Father. There is one who is accusing you, Moses, in whom you have hoped.

¹⁹ Has Moses not given you the law and yet none out of you are practicing the law? Why do you seek to kill me?

³³ They answered him, We are Abraham’s seed and have been enslaved to no one at anytime. How do you say, You will become free?

⁴¹ You are practicing the works of your father.
Therefore they said to him, We have not been born from fornication; we have one Father–God.

²⁸ They reviled him and said, You are a disciple of that man, but we are disciples of Moses. ²⁹ We know that God has spoken to Moses, but this one, we do not know where he is from.

²³ You who are boasting in the law, through your transgression of the law, are you dishonoring God?

²⁸ For he is not a Jew openly; nor is circumcision what is openly in the flesh, ²⁹ but he is a Jew in the hidden thing, and the circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in the writing; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

⁴ who are Israelites, whose is the sonship and the glory and the covenants and the institution of the law and the divine service and the promises; ⁵ whose are the fathers and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all: God is gracious forever. Amen.
⁶ But it is not such-as that the word of God has fallen short. For they are not all Israel, (those who are from Israel); ⁷ neither are they all children, because they are Abraham’s seed, but instead, ‘In Isaac your seed will be called.’

³² Why? Because it was not from the faith, but as it was from works of the law, for they stumbled on the stone of stumbling;

²² Are they Hebrews? I also. Are they Israelites? I also. Are they the seed of Abraham? I also.

¹⁵ We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles;

¹¹ Hence remember, that previously you, (the Gentiles in the flesh), who are called uncircumcision by what is called circumcision, made by hands in the flesh;

³ For we are the circumcision, who are giving-divine service in the spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh; ⁴ although I myself might have confidence in the flesh; if some other is thinking to have confidence in the flesh, I yet even more. ⁵ I was circumcised on the eighth day, from the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew out of Hebrews; according to the law, a Pharisee; ⁶ according to zeal, I was persecuting the congregation of believers; according to the righteousness in the law, I became blameless. ⁷ But what things were gains for me, I have deemed these a forfeiture because of the Christ.

⁹ I know your works, your affliction and your poverty (but you are rich) and the blasphemy of those who saying about themselves they are Jews and they are not, but are a synagogue of the Adversary.

¹ And write to the messenger of the congregation in Sardis:
He who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars says these things: I know your works, that you have a name, that you live; and you are dead.

⁹ Behold, I give those from the synagogue of the Adversary, those who say they are themselves Jews and they are not, but are lying, behold, I will make them in order that they should come and should worship in the sight of your feet and should know that I have loved you.

⁸ And what great nation is there that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you* this day?

¹³ You also came down upon Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments, ¹⁴ and made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them commandments and statutes and a law, by Moses your servant.

⁸ The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes.

⁹⁸ Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, because they are everlasting with me. ⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers, because your testimonies are my meditation. ¹⁰⁰ I understand more than the aged because I have kept your precepts.

¹⁰⁴ Through your precepts I get understanding. Therefore I hate every false way.
¹⁰⁵ Your word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path.

¹³⁰ The opening of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.

²³ Because the commandment is a lamp and the law is light and reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

⁴⁷ But that bondservant, who knew his lord’s will and did not prepare, nor did according to his will, will be whipped with many lashes;

¹⁷ If you know these things, you are fortunate if you practice them.

⁴ For as many things as were written beforehand were written beforehand for our instruction, in order that through the endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

¹ Now concerning idol-sacrifices: we know that all have knowledge. Knowledge is arrogant, but love builds up. ² But if anyone thinks to know anything, he has known nothing yet like it is essential to know;

¹⁰ that you may approve the things which are carrying more-value; in order that you may be sincere and guilt-free in the day of Christ;

²¹ Test all things. Hold-onto the good things.

¹⁵ And you have known, that from a baby, the sacred Scriptures which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
¹⁶ All Scripture is God breathed and is profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for education which is in righteousness, ¹⁷ in order that the man of God may be equipped, having been utterly equipped for every good work.

¹⁴ But solid nourishment is for the mature ones, from those who, through their habit, have had their senses exercised to the discerning of both good and evil.

¹⁷ Therefore knowing to do good and not doing it, to him, it is sin.

¹² See a man wise in his own conceit? There is more hope for a fool than of him.

²¹ Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight!

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

⁹ saying to those who are bound, Go forth; to those who are in darkness, Show yourselves. They will feed in the ways and their pasture will be on all bare heights.
¹⁰ They will not hunger nor thirst, neither will the heat nor sun kill* them. For he who has mercy on them will lead them. He will guide them even by springs of water.

¹⁰ His watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.

¹⁶ the people who sit in darkness saw a great light and to those who sit in the region and shadow of death, light has risen for them.’

¹⁴ You are the light of the world. A city laying upon a mountain is not able to be hid.

²³ But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be dark. Therefore, if the light which is in you is darkness, how much greater is the darkness!

¹⁴ Leave them! They are blind guides of the blind. Now if the blind guide the blind, both will be falling into a ditch.

¹⁶ Woe to you, you blind guides, that say, Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated. ¹⁷ You are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that makes the gold holy? ¹⁸ And, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever swears by the gift which is upon it, he is obligated. ¹⁹ You^\'b0 are foolish and blind; for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that makes the gift holy? ²⁰ Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it, and by all things upon it. ²¹ And he who swears by the temple, swears by it, and in the one who has dwelt in it. ²² And he who has sworn by the heaven, swears by the throne of God, and in the one who is sitting upon it.
²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and yet have left behind the weighty things of the law: justice and mercy and faith. You ought to do these, and not to have left behind those other things. ²⁴ You blind guides, who strain out the gnat and swallow the camel! ²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you cleanse the outside of the cup and the plate, but they are full from swindling and unrighteousness inside. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the cup from within and the plate, in order that the outside of them might also become clean.

¹⁵ Assuredly I am saying to you, Whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a little child, he may never enter into it.

⁴⁶ The attendants answered, Never, has a man spoken thus, like this man.
⁴⁷ Therefore the Pharisees answered them, You have not also been misled, have you? ⁴⁸ Not anyone from the rulers or from the Pharisees believed in him, have they? ⁴⁹ But this crowd who does not know the law are cursed.

³⁴ They answered and said to him, You were born entirely in sins and you are teaching us! And they cast him outside.

⁴⁰ And those who were with him from the Pharisees heard these things and said to him, We are not also blind, are we?
⁴¹ Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin, but now you say, We see, therefore your sin remains.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of the Adversary to God, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among those who have been made holy in faith, the faith in me.

¹⁸ Let no one deceive himself. If anyone seems to be wise in this age among you, let him become foolish, in order that he may become wise.

¹⁰ We are foolish because of Christ, but you are prudent in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are glorious, but we are dishonored.

¹⁵ in order that you might become blameless and harmless children of God, flawless in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as illuminations in the world.

¹⁷ Because you say, I am rich and have enriched ourselves and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are the miserable and the pitiful and are poor and blind and naked. ¹⁸ I am counseling together with you to buy gold from me, having been refined out of fire, in order that you may be enriched, and in order that you should dress yourself with white garments and in order that the shame of your nakedness should not be manifested to all, and in order that you may anoint your eyes with eye-salve, in order that you may see.

²⁵ Jesus answered and said at that time, I profess you, O Father, Lord of heaven and the earth, that you hid these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.

¹ And brethren, I was not able to speak to you as to spiritual people, but as to fleshly ones, as to infants in Christ.

¹³ Hold to the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love in Christ Jesus.

⁵ holding to a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Now turn yourself away from these people.

¹⁶ They profess to know God, but they are denying him by their works, being detestable and disobedient and unapproved toward every good work.

¹³ For everyone who partakes of milk is inexperienced of the word of righteousness; for he is an infant.

² as newborn babies, long-for the logical milk which has no treachery, in order that you may grow in it;

¹⁶ But to the wicked man God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes and that you have taken my covenant in your mouth, ¹⁷ since you hate instruction and cast my words behind you?
¹⁸ When you saw a thief, you consented with him and have been partaker with adulterers. ¹⁹ You give your mouth to evil and your tongue frames deceit. ²⁰ You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.
²¹ These things you have done and I kept silence. You thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself. But I will reprove you and set them in order before your eyes.

¹¹ Yes, the dogs are greedy; they can never have enough. And these are shepherds who cannot understand. They have all turned to their own way, each one to his gain, from every quarter.

¹² In you they have taken bribes to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase. And you have greedily gained from your neighbors by oppression and have forgotten me, says the lord Jehovah.
¹³ Behold, therefore, I have struck my hand at your dishonest gain which you have made and at your blood which has been in the midst of you.

²⁷ Her rulers in the midst of it are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.

⁴ Hear this, O you* who would swallow up a needy man and cause the poor of the land to fail, ⁵ saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small and the shekel great and dealing falsely with balances of deceit, ⁶ that we may buy the poor for silver and a needy man for a pair of shoes and sell the refuse of the wheat?

¹³ and he says to them, It has been written, My house will be called a house of prayer, but you made it a den of robbers.

³ Therefore, as many things as they may say for you to keep, keep and do, but do not do them according to their works; for they say and are not doing. ⁴ For they bind burdensome and unbearable loads, and place them upon men’s shoulders, but they are not willing to move them even with their finger. ⁵ And they are practicing all their works to be seen by men. And they widen their phylacteries and magnify the hems of their garments, ⁶ and they love the foremost-place in the suppers and the foremost seats in the synagogues, ⁷ and the greetings in the marketplaces and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi. ⁸ But do not be called Rabbi; for only one is your leader, the Christ, and you are all brethren. ⁹ Now do not call anyone your father upon the earth; for only one is your Father, the one in the heavens; ¹⁰ nor be called leaders; for only one is your leader–the Christ. ¹¹ But the greater of you will be your servant. ¹² But whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.


¹³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you are devouring widows’houses, and praying long prayers for a pretext, because of this, you will be receiving even-more condemnation.
¹⁴ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you lock the kingdom of the heavens before men; for you are not entering in yourselves, nor are you allowing those who are entering in, to enter either.
¹⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you go all around the sea and the dry land to make one Jewish-convert, and whenever he has become one, you are making him double the son of hell as you^\'b0 are yourselves.

²³ And he said to them, You will certainly say this parable to me, Physician, heal yourself. We have heard how much had happened in Capernaum, do it here also in your fatherland.

⁴⁶ But he said, Woe also to you professors of the law! Because you are loading men down with unbearable loads, and you yourselves do not stroke the loads with one of your fingers .

²⁷ but I am buffeting my body and enslaving it; lest somehow after having preached to others, I myself might become unapproved.

¹³ For not even those who have been circumcised themselves observe the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, in order that they may boast in your flesh.

¹ But as for you, speak the things which are suitable to the sound teaching. ² Teach elderly-men to be temperate, honorable, sensible, sound in the faith, in love, in endurance.
³ Likewise, teach elderly-women to be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers, not having been enslaved to much wine, but teachers of what is good, ⁴ in order that they may train the young women to be lovers of their husbands, to love their children, ⁵ and to be sensible, pure, homemakers, and kind, being subject to their own husbands, in order that the word of God may not be blasphemed. ⁶ Likewise encourage the younger-men to be sensible, ⁷ providing yourself as an example of good works concerning all things; in the teaching have integrity, honesty, incorruption,

⁷ How can I pardon you? Your sons have forsaken me and sworn by those who are no gods. When I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery and assembled themselves in troops at the prostitutes' houses.

² Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging-place of wayfaring men, that I might leave my people and go from them! For they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.

¹¹ And one has committed abomination with his neighbor's wife and another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law and another in you has humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

⁸ And when you* offer the blind for sacrifice, you* say, It is no evil! and when you* offer the lame and sick, It is no evil! Present it now to your governor. Will he be pleased with you, or will he accept your person? says Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁴ But cursed be the deceiver, who has in his flock a male and vows and sacrifices to the Lord a blemished thing. For I am a great King, says Jehovah of hosts and my name is feared among the Gentiles.

⁸ Will a man rob God? Yet you* rob me. But you* say, How have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings.

³⁹ But he answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation is seeking after a sign, and a sign will not be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet;

⁴ An evil and adulterous generation is seeking after a sign, and no sign will be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet. And he left them and went away.

¹⁷ And he was teaching them, saying to them, Has it not been written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations? But you have made it a den of robbers.’

³⁷ For you have led these men here, who are neither temple looters nor are blaspheming your goddess.

⁴ Adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever wills to be a friend of the world is designated as an enemy of God.

⁸ How can you* say, We are wise and the law of Jehovah is with us? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has worked falsely. ⁹ The wise men are put to shame. They are dismayed and taken. Behold, they have rejected the word of Jehovah and what manner of wisdom is in them?

¹⁷ Now he said to him, Why do you call me good? No one is good except one–God, but if you wish to enter into everlasting life, keep the commandments.
¹⁸ He says to him, What ones?
Now Jesus said, Do not murder; Do not commit adultery; Do not steal; Do not falsely testify, ¹⁹ Honor your father and mother.
²⁰ The young-man says to him, I have observed all these things from my youth. So what am I still lacking?

¹¹ The Pharisee stood and was praying these things with himself, God, I give-thanks to you, that I am not like the rest of men: swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers or just-like this tax collector.

¹⁷ Behold, you who are named a Jew and rest upon the law and boast in God,

² Much, according to every manner! For indeed, first, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

⁴ who are Israelites, whose is the sonship and the glory and the covenants and the institution of the law and the divine service and the promises;

²² But become doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. ²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he resembles a man considering his face (which was his from birth) in a mirror. ²⁴ For he has considered himself, and has gone away and immediately forgot what sort of man he was. ²⁵ But he who has peered into the complete law, the law of freedom, and has remained in it, this one, having not become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of works, this one will be fortunate in his doing.
²⁶ If anyone among you thinks himself to be outwardly religious, though he does not bridle his tongue but deceiving his heart; this one’s religion is futile. ²⁷ A clean and undefiled religion with our God and Father is this: to ^{F} visit ^{F} the orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

¹⁶ But now you boast in your self-importance. All such boasting is evil. ¹⁷ Therefore knowing to do good and not doing it, to him, it is sin.

¹⁴ However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of Jehovah to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you will surely die.

⁵ Now therefore, what do I do here, says Jehovah, seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them howl, says Jehovah. And because of you* my name is continually blasphemed among the Gentiles.

¹⁵ All who pass by clap their hands at you. They hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men called The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth? ¹⁶ All your enemies have opened their mouth wide against you. They hiss and gnash the teeth. They say, We have swallowed her up. Certainly this is the day that we looked for. We have found, we have seen it.

²⁰ And when they came to the nations where they went, they profaned my holy name, in that men said of them, These are the people of Jehovah and have gone forth out of his land. ²¹ But I had regard for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they went.
²² Therefore say to the house of Israel, The lord Jehovah says thus: I do this not for your* sake, O house of Israel, but for my holy name, which you* have profaned among the nations where you* went. ²³ And I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you* have profaned in the midst of them.
And the nations will know that I am Jehovah, says the lord Jehovah, when I will be made holy in you* before their eyes.

⁷ Woe to the world from the coming offenses! For it is a necessity for the offenses to come; however, woe to that man through whom the offense comes!

¹⁴ Therefore I will the younger widows to marry, to be childbearing, to manage the house, to never give a starting-point to those who lay in opposition to them because of reviling:

¹ As many as are bondservants under the yoke, let them deem their own masters worthy of all honor, in order that the name of God and the teaching may not be blasphemed.

⁵ and to be sensible, pure, homemakers, and kind, being subject to their own husbands, in order that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

⁸ sound speech which is not condemnable; in order that the adverse one might be embarrassed, having no evil thing to say concerning us.

² And many will be following their unbridled-lusts, because of whom the way of the truth will be blasphemed. \ulnone\nosupersub

⁶ And Jehovah your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

⁴ Circumcise yourselves to Jehovah and take away the foreskins of your* heart, you* men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest my wrath go forth like fire and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your* practices.

²⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will punish all those who are circumcised in their uncircumcision: ²⁶ Egypt and Judah and Edom and the sons of Ammon and Moab and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, who dwell in the wilderness. For all the nations are uncircumcised and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.

⁵¹ You are stiff-necked and non-circumcised in heart and ears. You are habitually defying the Holy Spirit, like your fathers, like you also!

²⁸ For he is not a Jew openly; nor is circumcision what is openly in the flesh,

³ Now, I am testifying again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is a debtor to practice the whole law. ⁴ You have been done-away-with, cut off from the Christ, you who are made righteous by the law; you have fallen from the grace of God. \ulnone\nosupersub ⁵ For we are waiting for the hope of righteousness in a Spirit from faith. ⁶ For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision prevails over anything in Christ Jesus, but faith working through love.

¹⁵ For neither anything circumcision nor uncircumcision prevails in Christ Jesus, but a new creation.

¹¹ Hence remember, that previously you, (the Gentiles in the flesh), who are called uncircumcision by what is called circumcision, made by hands in the flesh; ¹² that you were separate from Christ at the time, having been alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and were godless in the world.

⁶ Also the foreigners who join themselves to Jehovah, to minister to him and to love the name of Jehovah, to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it and holds fast my covenant, ⁷ even them I will bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted upon my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples.

²⁸ Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is your faith. Let it happen for you as you will it. And her daughter was healed from that hour.

² a devout man, who feared God together with all his house and doing much charity for the people and always beseeching God. ³ He saw openly in a vision, at approximately the ninth hour of the day, a messenger of God who came to him and said to him, Cornelius.
⁴ But having stared at him and becoming fearful, said, What is it, Lord?
But he said to him, Your prayers and your charity have gone up for a memorial in God’s sight.

³⁴ Now Peter opened his mouth and said, In truth, I comprehend that God is not one who shows-favoritism ³⁵ but in every nation, he who fears him and is working righteousness, is acceptable to him.

³ saying, You entered to men having an uncircumcised state and ate together with them.
⁴ But Peter began and was expounding the matter to them afterwards, saying, ⁵ I was in the city of Joppa praying and I saw a vision while in a trance, a certain vessel coming down, like a great sheet being dropped down from heaven by the four edges, and it came to me. ⁶ Having stared into that sheet, I was considering, and I saw the four footed mammals of the earth and other beasts and reptiles and birds of the heaven.
⁷ Now I heard a voice saying to me, When you stand up Peter; sacrifice and eat.
⁸ But I said, Not-so, Lord, because anything common or unclean has never entered into my mouth.
⁹ But a voice answered me the second-time from heaven, What God has cleansed, you, do not make common. ¹⁰ Now this happened three-times and all were pulled up again into heaven. ¹¹ And behold, promptly three men stood at the house in which I was, having been sent from Caesarea to me. ¹² But the Spirit said for me to go together with them, making no distinction. Now these six brethren also came together with me, and we entered into the man’s house. ¹³ And he reported to us how he had seen the messenger standing in his house and saying to him, Send men to Joppa and send for Simon, whose surname is Peter; ¹⁴ who will be speaking the words to you in which you will be saved, you and all your house. ¹⁵ Now while I was beginning to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just-like upon us also in the beginning. ¹⁶ Now I was reminded of the declaration of the Lord, how he said, John indeed immersed in water, but you will be immersed in the Holy Spirit. ¹⁷ Therefore, if God gave to them the equal gift like he also did to us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, now who was I, that I am able to forbid God? ¹⁸ But having heard these things, they were quiet and glorifying God, saying, Consequently, God has also given repentance to the Gentiles into life.

⁴ in order that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, those who are not walking according to the flesh, but walking according to the Spirit.

¹⁸ Was anyone called being circumcised? Let him not be uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in uncircumcision? Let him not be circumcised. ¹⁹ Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

³ For we are the circumcision, who are giving-divine service in the spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;

¹¹ in whom you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the stripping off of the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of the Christ,

⁴⁸ As I live, says the lord Jehovah, Sodom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters. ⁴⁹ Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters and she did not strengthen the hand of a poor and needy man. ⁵⁰ And they were haughty and committed abomination before me. Therefore I took them away as I saw fit.
⁵¹ Neither has Samaria committed half of your sins, but you have multiplied your abominations more than they and have justified your sisters by all your abominations which you have done.
⁵² You also, bear your own shame, in that you have given judgment for your sisters, through your sins that you have committed more abominable than they. They are more righteous than you. Yes, be also confounded and bear your shame, in that you have justified your sisters.

¹⁵ But Jesus answered and said to him, Allow it now; for thus it is suitable for us to fulfill every righteousness. Then he allows him.

¹⁷ Do not suppose that I came to tear-down the law or the prophets; I did not come to tear-down, but to fulfill. ¹⁸ For assuredly I am saying to you, Until heaven and earth should pass away, one iota or one serif may never pass away from the law, until all things should become fulfilled.
¹⁹ Therefore, whoever loosens one of these least commandments and may teach men to do so, will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens, but whoever practices and should teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens. ²⁰ For I am saying to you, that if your righteousness is not abounding more-than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you may never enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

⁴¹ The men of the Ninevites will be standing up with this generation in the judgment and will be condemning it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, more-than Jonah is here. ⁴² The queen of the south will be arisen with this generation in the judgment and will be condemning it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, more-than Solomon is here.

²² And having removed him, he lifted up David to be king to them; to whom he also testified and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man according to my own heart, who will be practicing all my will.

²⁰ a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of infants, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.

²⁹ but he is a Jew in the hidden thing, and the circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in the writing; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

⁶ But now we have been done-away-with from the law, having died in what we were being held; so-that we are to serve in newness of the spirit and not in oldness of the writing.
⁷ Therefore what shall we say? Is the law sin? Let it not happen! But, I did not know sin, except through the law; for I also did not know coveting. ⁸ But sin, having taken a starting-point, worked in me through the commandment all manner of coveting; for separate from the law sin is dead.

¹⁰ Love works no evil to ward his neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.

⁶ who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not from the writing, but from the Spirit; for the writing kills, but the Spirit gives-life.

¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled in one word, in this: ‘You will love your neighbor like yourself.’

³ in faith, we perceive that the ages have been framed by the declaration of God, toward the things seen, not having become from things which appear.

¹ Surely God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart.

⁹ Unless Jehovah of hosts had left to us a seed, we should have been as Sodom, we should have been like Gomorrah. ¹⁰ Hear the word of Jehovah, you* rulers of Sodom, listen to the law of our God, you* people of Gomorrah.
¹¹ What to me is the multitude of your* sacrifices? says Jehovah. I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts. And I do not delight in the blood of bullocks or of lambs or of male-goats. ¹² When you* come to appear before me, who has required this at your* hand–to trample my courts?
¹³ Bring no more vain oblations. Incense is an abomination to me. New moon and Sabbath, the calling of assemblies–I cannot bear wickedness and the solemn assembly. ¹⁴ Your* new moons and your* appointed feasts my soul hates. They are a trouble to me. I am weary of bearing them.
¹⁵ And when you* spread forth your* hands, I will hide my eyes from you*. Yes, when you* make many prayers, I will not hear; your* hands are full of blood.

²⁶ Egypt and Judah and Edom and the sons of Ammon and Moab and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, who dwell in the wilderness. For all the nations are uncircumcised and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.

⁶ And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And Jehovah said to him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah, for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them.
⁷ But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah and will save them by Jehovah their God and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
⁸ Now when she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived and bore a son. ⁹ And Jehovah said, Call his name Lo-ammi, for you* are not my people and I will not be yours*.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and says concerning him, Behold, an Israelite in whom there truly is no treachery!

³⁷ I know that you are Abraham’s seed; yet you are seeking to kill me, because my word is not making room in you in your^\'b0 hearts. ³⁸ I am speaking the things which I have seen from my Father and therefore you are practicing what you have seen from your father. ³⁹ They answered and said to him, Our father is Abraham.
Jesus says to them, If you were Abraham’s children, were you ever practicing the works of Abraham?

⁶ But it is not such-as that the word of God has fallen short. For they are not all Israel, (those who are from Israel); ⁷ neither are they all children, because they are Abraham’s seed, but instead, ‘In Isaac your seed will be called.’ ⁸ This thing is, the children of the flesh, these are not children of God, but the children of the promise are counted for a seed.

²¹ which is our counterpart, immersion, saves us also now, not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the demand of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ;

¹⁶ Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your* heart and be no more stiff-necked.

⁷ But Jehovah said to Samuel, Do not look on his countenance, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For Jehovah sees not as man sees, for man looks on the outward appearance, but Jehovah looks on the heart.

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that you try the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. And now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.

¹³ Inside, the king's daughter is all glorious. Her clothing is embroidered with gold.

¹⁴ O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long will your evil thoughts lodge within you?

³⁹ But the Lord said to him, Now you, the Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but the inside of you is full from swindling and wickedness.

²¹ nor will they say, Behold, here! Or, behold there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

⁵ Jesus answered, Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, If someone has not been born out of water and the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God! ⁶ What has been born out of the flesh is flesh, and what has been born out of the Spirit is spirit. ⁷ Do not marvel that I said to you, It is essential for you to be born anew. ⁸ The Spirit is blowing where he wills and you hear his voice, but do not know from where he is coming and where he is going, so is everyone who has been born from the Spirit.

²³ But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will be worshiping the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father also is seeking such who are worshiping him.

⁴³ for they loved the glory from men rather than the glory from God.

⁶ But now we have been done-away-with from the law, having died in what we were being held; so-that we are to serve in newness of the spirit and not in oldness of the writing.

¹⁸ For he who commends himself, that man is not approved after being tested, but whom the Lord is commending.

¹¹ in whom you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the stripping off of the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of the Christ, ¹² having been buried together with him in the immersion, in which you were also raised up together with him through the faith from the working of God, who raised him up from the dead.

⁴ But just-as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the good-news, so we are speaking; not as pleasing men, but it is God who tests our hearts.

⁴ but let it be the hidden human things of the heart, in the incorruptible clothing of a meek and quiet spirit, which is greatly-valued in God’s sight.
