³¹ The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps will slide.

⁶ And these words, which I command you this day, will be upon your heart.

¹⁸ Therefore you* will lay up these my words in your* heart and in your* soul. And you* will bind them for a sign upon your* hand and they will be for bands between your* eyes. ¹⁹ And you* will teach them to your* sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
²⁰ And you will write them upon the door-posts of your house and upon your gates,

¹¹ My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way and not turned aside.

² because his delight is in the law of Jehovah and on his law he meditates day and night.

⁵ My steps have held fast to your paths. My feet have not slipped.

²³ A man's goings are established by Jehovah and he delights in his way.

² He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the muddy clay and he set my feet upon a rock and established my steps. ³ And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many will see it and fear and will trust in Jehovah.

⁸ I delight to do your will, O my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.

¹⁸ Our heart is not turned back, nor have our steps declined from your way,

² But as for me, my feet were almost gone. My steps had nearly slipped.

¹¹ I have laid your word up in my heart that I might not sin against you.

⁹⁸ Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, because they are everlasting with me.

³ He will not allow your foot to slip. He who keeps you will not slumber.

⁴ And he taught me and said to me, Let your heart retain my words. Keep my commandments and live.

¹⁵ A simple man believes every word, but the prudent man looks well to his going.

⁷ Listen to me, you* who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Do not fear the reproach of men, nor be you* dismayed at their revilings.

³³ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Jehovah: I will give my laws into their mind and I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.

⁶ Of the oaks of Bashan they have made your oars. They have made your benches of ivory inlaid in boxwood, from the isles of Kittim.

¹⁰ Because this one is the covenant which I will covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will be giving my laws into their mind and I will be writing them upon their hearts. And I will be a God to them and they will be covenanted into a people for me;
