³ Jehovah, what is man, that you take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that you make account of him?

¹⁷ What is man, that you should magnify him and that you should set your mind upon him,

¹⁴ What is man, that he should be clean? And he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

⁴ what is man that you remember him? And the son of man that you care for him?

³ Do not put your* trust in rulers, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. ⁴ His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth. His thoughts perish in that very day.
