Proverbs 9:12 Cross References - MLV

¹² If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. And if you scoff, you alone will bear it.

² Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself. ³ Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous? Or is it gain to him that you make your ways perfect?

²¹ Acquaint now yourself with him and be at peace. By this good will come to you.

⁶ If you have sinned, what do you effect against him? And if your transgressions be multiplied, what do you to him? ⁷ If you are righteous, what do you give him? Or what does he receive of your hand?

²⁶ The appetite of the laboring man labors for him, because his mouth urges him.

²² Now therefore be you* not scoffers, lest your* bonds be made strong. For I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, upon the whole earth.

²⁰ The soul that sins, it will die.
The son will not bear the iniquity of the father, nor will the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of a righteous man will be upon him and the wickedness of a wicked man will be upon him.

³ Knowing this first, that mockers will be coming in the last of the days, conducting-themselves according to their own lusts, ⁴ and saying, Where is the promise of his presence? For from which time the fathers fell-asleep, thus all things remain as they were from the beginning of the creation.

¹⁶ as also in all his letters, speaking in them concerning these things; in which some things are hard to perceive, which the unlearned and unstable ones are twisting, as they also twist the rest of the Scriptures to their own destruction.
