¹⁴ And now, behold, I go to my people. Come, I will advise you what this people will do to your people in the latter days.

¹ And Jacob called to his sons and said, gather yourselves together, that I may tell you* what will befall you* in the latter days.

¹⁷ I see him, but not now. I behold him, but not near. There will come out a star out of Jacob and a scepter will rise out of Israel and will kill* through the corners of Moab and break down all the sons of tumult.

⁷ And they warred against Midian as Jehovah commanded Moses and they killed every male. ⁸ And they killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain: Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam the son of Beor with the sword. ⁹ And the sons of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones. And all their cattle and all their flocks and all their goods, they took for a prey. ¹⁰ And all their cities in the places in which they dwelt and all their encampments, they burnt with fire.
¹¹ And they took all the spoil and all the prey, both of man and of beast. ¹² And they brought the captives and the prey and the spoil, to Moses and to Eleazar the priest and to the congregation of the sons of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.
¹³ And Moses and Eleazar the priest and all the rulers of the congregation, went forth to meet them outside the camp. ¹⁴ And Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who came from the service of the war. ¹⁵ And Moses said to them, Have you* saved all the women alive? ¹⁶ Behold, these caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against Jehovah in the matter of Peor and so the plague was among the congregation of Jehovah.
¹⁷ Now therefore kill every male among the little ones and kill every woman that has known man by lying with him. ¹⁸ But all the girls, who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

²² And they will be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in the pit and will be shut up in the prison. And after many days they will be visited.

⁴⁷ Yet I will bring back the captivity of Moab in the latter days, says Jehovah. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.

³⁹ But it will happen in the latter days, that I will bring back the captivity of Elam, says Jehovah.

²⁸ but there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets. And he has made known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days.
Your dream and the visions of your head upon your bed, are these:

¹⁴ I have come now to make you understand what will befall your people in the latter days, for the vision is yet for many days.

⁵ Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek Jehovah their God and David their king and will come with fear to Jehovah and to his goodness in the latter days.

⁵ O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab devised and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him. Remember from Shittim to Gilgal, that you* may know the righteous acts of Jehovah.

¹⁷ God says, ‘And it will be in the last days, I will pour out from My Spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and your young-men will see visions and your elderly-men will dream dreams.

¹ But know this, that grievous times will be present in the last days.

¹⁰ Let no one fear the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some from you into prison, in order that you may be tested and you will have affliction ten days. Become faithful to death and I will be giving you the crown of life.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, because you have there some holding-fast the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast an offense in the sight the sons of Israel, even to eat idol-sacrifices and to fornicate.
