⁵ Now when they became fearful and bowed their faces down toward the earth, then they said to them, Why are you seeking the living with the dead?

¹⁷ So he came near where I stood. And when he came, I was frightened and fell upon my face. But he said to me, Understand, O son of man, for the vision belongs to the time of the end.
¹⁸ Now as he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face toward the ground, but he touched me and set me upright.

⁷ And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great quaking fell upon them and they fled to hide themselves.
⁸ So I was left alone and saw this great vision. And there remained no strength in me, for my fitness was turned in me into debility and I retained no strength. ⁹ Yet I heard the voice of his words. And when I heard the voice of his words, then I fell into a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.
¹⁰ And behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. ¹¹ And he said to me, O Daniel, you man are a great delight, understand the words that I speak to you and stand upright, for I am now sent to you. And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood, trembling.
¹² Then he said to me, Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come for your words' sake.

¹⁶ And behold, someone in the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth and spoke and said to him who stood before me, O my lord, because of the vision my pains have turned upon me and I retain no strength.

¹⁹ And he said, O man are a great delight, do not fear. Peace be to you. Be strong, yes, be strong. And when he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.

³ His form was like lightning and his clothing was white like snow; ⁴ and those who are guarding the door, shook out of fear of him and became like dead men.
⁵ Now the messenger answered and said to the women, Do not be afraid; for I know that you are seeking Jesus, who has been crucified.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young-man sitting at the right side, having been dressed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed. ⁶ Now he says to them, Do not be utterly amazed. You are seeking Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He was raised. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him.

¹² And Zacharias, having seen him, was disturbed, and fear fell upon him.
¹³ But the messenger said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your supplication was heard and your wife Elisabeth will be giving-birth to a son to you and you will call his name John.

²⁹ But having seen him, she was very disturbed at his speech, and was reasoning what sort of greeting this might be.

³ He saw openly in a vision, at approximately the ninth hour of the day, a messenger of God who came to him and said to him, Cornelius.
⁴ But having stared at him and becoming fearful, said, What is it, Lord?
But he said to him, Your prayers and your charity have gone up for a memorial in God’s sight.

⁸ And men indeed receive tithes who die here, but there, it is testified that he is living.

¹⁸ and the Living One, and I became dead and behold, I am living forevermore and I have the keys of death and of Hades. Amen.
