¹ Now when it became morning, all the high-priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus so-that they might slay him; ² and they bound him and led him away and gave him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

²⁰ Now the high-priests and the elders persuaded the crowds in order that they should ask for Barabbas and should destroy Jesus.

⁶⁶ And as it became day, the eldership of the people were gathered together, both high-priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,

⁸ Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, You rulers of the people and elders of Israel, ⁹ if we are examined today on the basis of a good work done to a sick man and by what means this one has been cured. ¹⁰ Let it be known to you all here and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ from Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised up from the dead; in him, this one who is standing in your sight is healthy.

²⁷ For against truth, against your holy young-servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together ²⁸ to do as many things as your hand and your council predetermined to happen.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you yourselves exterminated, having hanged him upon a tree. ³¹ This Jesus is the Author and Savior who God exalted to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

²⁷ For those dwelling in Jerusalem and their rulers who were ignorant of this one, and the voices of the prophets which are read on every Sabbath, they fulfilled them by having judged him to death. \ulnone\nosupersub ²⁸ And though no one found a crime worthy of death in him, they still asked Pilate to assassinate him. ²⁹ Now as they completed all things which have been written concerning him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb.
