⁵⁶ You hypocrites, you know how to decipher the face of the earth and the heaven, but how do you not decipher this time?

³² And of the sons of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred. And all their brothers were at their commandment.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish transgression and to make an end of sins and to make reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.
²⁵ Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the anointed one, the Prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troublesome times.
²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks the anointed one will be cut off and will have nothing. And the people of the prince who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary and the end of it will be with a flood. And even to the end will be war; desolations are determined.

⁷ And I will shake all nations and the delight of all nations will come and I will fill this house with glory, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹ Behold, I send my messenger and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord, whom you* seek, will suddenly come to his temple. And the messenger of the covenant, whom you* desire, behold, he comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

² But to you* who fear my name the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings and you* will go forth and frolic as calves of the stall.

²⁵ Jesus answered and said at that time, I profess you, O Father, Lord of heaven and the earth, that you hid these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.

³ And in the morning, There will be a storm today; for the heaven is red and dismal. Hypocrites! You indeed know how to discern the face of the heaven, but you are not able to discern the signs of the times.

³² Now learn from the fig tree its parable: whenever its branch has already become tender and its leaves spring forth, you know that the summer is near; ³³ so also you, whenever you behold all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

⁴² saying, If you had known in this day, even you, for-sure, the things which are for your peace! But now they were hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ Because the days will be coming upon you, and your enemies will put a military-barrier around you and will surround you, and will crowd you on every-side, ⁴⁴ and will be leveling you to the bedrock, and your children among you, and they will not be leaving in you one stone upon another stone, because you did not know the time of your visitation.

²⁴ But even all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed afterwards, as many as have spoken, also spoke of these days. ²⁵ You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God covenanted with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed, all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ ²⁶ God, having raised up his young-servant Jesus, sent him to you first, blessing you in turning each of you away from your wickednesses.
