¹⁶ And he who blasphemes the name of Jehovah, he will surely be put to death. All the congregation will certainly stone him. As well the traveler, as the home-born, when he blasphemes the Name, will be put to death.

⁷ You will not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain, because Jehovah will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

¹⁰ And set two men, worthless fellows, before him and let them bear witness against him, saying, You cursed God and the king. And then carry him out and stone him to death.
¹¹ And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who dwelt in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, just-as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. ¹² They proclaimed a fast and set Naboth on high among the people.
¹³ And the two men, the worthless fellows, came in and sat before him. And the worthless fellows bore witness against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth cursed God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city and stoned him to death with stones.

¹⁰ How long, O God, will the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?

¹⁸ Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O Jehovah and that a foolish people has blasphemed your name.

²⁰ For they speak against you wickedly and your enemies take it in vain.

³¹ Because of this, I am saying to you, Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven to men, but the blasphemy of the Spirit will not be forgiven to men.

⁶⁶ What are you thinking?
They answered and said, He is liable for death.

²⁸ Assuredly I am saying to you, All their sins and blasphemies will be forgiven to the sons of men; as many things as they may blaspheme. ²⁹ But whoever blasphemes at the Holy Spirit does not have forgiveness, forever, but is liable to an everlasting judgment.

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, Before Abraham was born, I am. ⁵⁹ Therefore, they took up stones in order that they might cast them at him, but Jesus was hidden and went forth out of the temple, having gone right through the middle of them and so he was passing away.

³³ The Jews answered him, saying, We do not stone you concerning a good work, but concerning blasphemy, and because you being a man, are making yourself God.
³⁴ Jesus answered them, Has it not been written in your law, that I said, You are gods? ³⁵ If he called those men gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture is not able to be torn-down), ³⁶ do you say of him, whom the Father made holy and sent into the world, You blaspheme, because I said, I am the Son of God?

¹¹ And punishing them often throughout all the synagogues, I was urging them to blaspheme, and being exceptionally enraged with them, I was persecuting them, insofar as possible, even to the cities outside our nation.

¹³ even though I was a former blasphemer and a persecutor and an insolent man, but I was shown-mercy, because I did it being ignorant in unbelief;
