¹⁷ And the city will be set apart, even it and all that is in it, to Jehovah. Only Rahab the prostitute will live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

³ And I will bless those who bless you and he who curses you I will curse. And all the families of the earth will be blessed in you.

²⁸ Notwithstanding, nothing set apart, that a man will set apart to Jehovah of all that he has, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, will be sold or redeemed; everything set apart is most holy to Jehovah. ²⁹ No one set apart, who will be set apart from among men, will be ransomed; he will surely be put to death.

² And Israel vowed a vow to Jehovah and said, If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities. ³ And Jehovah listened to the voice of Israel and delivered up the Canaanites. ¹ And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men as spies secretly, saying, Go, view the land and Jericho. And they went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab and lay down there.

⁴ And the woman took the two men and hid them. And she said, Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know from where they were. ⁵ And it happened about the time of the shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out. Where the men went I do not know. Pursue after them quickly, for you* will overtake them. ⁶ But she had brought them up to the roof and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.

²² And they went and came to the mountain and abode there three days, until the pursuers were returned. And the pursuers sought them throughout all the way, but did not find them.

²² And Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, Go into the prostitute's house and bring out from there the woman and all that she has, as you* swore to her. ²³ And the young men, the spies, went in and brought out Rahab and her father and her mother and her brothers and all that she had. They also brought out all her kindred and they set them outside the camp of Israel.

¹ But the sons of Israel committed a trespass in what was set apart. For Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took from what was set apart and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against the sons of Israel.

⁶ And Saul said to the Kenites, Go, depart, you* get down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you* with them, for you* showed kindness to all the sons of Israel when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

⁸ And that whoever did not come within three days, according to the counsel of the rulers and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited and himself separated from the assembly of the captivity.

⁶ The sword of Jehovah is filled with blood. It is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams, for Jehovah has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

¹⁰ For that day is a day of the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries. And the sword will devour and be satiate and will drink its fill of their blood, for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

¹⁷ And you, son of man, thus says the lord Jehovah: Speak to the birds of every sort and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves and come. Gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I sacrifice for you*, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that you* may eat flesh and drink blood.

¹³ Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron and I will make your hoofs brass and you will beat many peoples in pieces. And I will devote their gain to Jehovah and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.

⁴¹ He who accepts a prophet in the name of a prophet, will be receiving a prophet’s reward, and he who accepts a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, will be receiving a righteous man’s reward. ⁴² And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to drink to one of these little ones, in the name of a disciple, assuredly I am saying to you, He may never lose his reward.

⁴⁰ And when the King answers, he will say to them, Assuredly I am saying to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of these, my brethren, even the least, you did it to me.

⁷ but we are speaking God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom which has been hidden, which God predetermined before the ages, for our glory.

²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord has come!

¹⁰ For as many as are from the works of the law are under a curse; for it has been written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things which have been written in the book of the law, and to practice them.’

¹² Now the law is not from faith, but, ‘The man who does them will live in them.’

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the labor of the love which you showed toward his name, having served the holy-ones and still serving them.

³¹ In faith, Rahab the prostitute did not perish together with the disobedient, having accepted the spies with peace.

²⁵ Now likewise, was not Rahab the prostitute also made righteous from works, when she accepted the messengers and put them out a different way?
