¹⁵ Thereafter when this lust has conceived, it bears sin, and sin, when it has matured, gives-birth to death.

¹⁷ but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you will not eat from it. For in the day that you eat from it, you will surely die.

⁶ And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate. And she also gave to her husband with her and he ate.

¹⁷ And to Adam he said, Because you have obeyed the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You will not eat of it, cursed is the ground for your sake. You will eat of it in toil all the days of your life.
¹⁸ Also, it will bring forth thorns and thistles to you and you will eat the herb of the field. ¹⁹ You will eat bread by the sweat of your face, till you return to the ground, because out of it you were taken. For you are dust and you will return to dust.

⁵ but he did not have respect to Cain and to his offering. And Cain was furious and his countenance fell.
⁶ And Jehovah said to Cain, Why are you furious? And why has your countenance fallen? ⁷ If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at the door. Its desire will be for you and you should rule over it.
⁸ And Cain told Abel his brother. And it happened, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

³⁵ They conceive mischief and bring forth wickness and their heart prepares deceit.

¹⁴ Behold the wicked man, he travails with wickedness. Yes, he has conceived mischief and brought out falsehood.

¹⁷ Wicked men will be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God.

⁴ No man sues in righteousness and no man pleads in truth. They trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and bring forth wickedness.

¹ Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil upon their beds! When the morning is light they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. ² And they desire fields and seize them and houses and take them away. And they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
³ Therefore Jehovah says thus: Behold, I devise an evil against this family, from which you* will not remove your* necks, nor will you* walk haughtily, for it is an evil time.

¹⁴ Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, traveled to the high-priests

⁴⁸ Now he who is giving him up, gave them a sign, saying, Whomever I kiss; he is the one; take-hold of him. ⁴⁹ And immediately he came to Jesus and said, Hail, Rabbi. And he kissed him.
⁵⁰ But Jesus said to him, Comrade, to what purpose are you here? Then they came and put hands upon Jesus and took-hold of him. ⁵¹ And behold, one of those who was with Jesus stretched out his hand and pulled his sword, and struck the bondservant of the high-priest, and took off his ear. ⁵² Then Jesus says to him, Return your sword into its place; for all those who take up the sword will be perishing with the sword. ⁵³ Or do you think that I am not able now to plead with my Father and he will not stand beside me with more than twelve legions of messengers? ⁵⁴ Therefore how might the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it is essential to happen as thus?
⁵⁵ Jesus said to the crowds in that hour, Why have you come out with swords and clubs, like against a robber, to take me? I was sitting daily with you in the temple, teaching, and you did not take-hold of me. ⁵⁶ But this whole thing has happened, in order that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him and fled.


⁵⁷ Now those who had taken-hold of Jesus led him away to the house of Caiaphas the high-priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.


⁵⁸ But Peter was following him from afar to the courtyard of the high-priest, and entered inside, and was sitting with the attendants, to see the end.


⁵⁹ Now the high-priests and the elders and the whole council were seeking false testimony against Jesus, how they might slay him;

¹ But a certain man, Ananias by name, together with his wife Sapphira, sold a property, ² and pilfered part of the price, his wife also having been conscious of it, and brought a certain part, laid it beside the apostles’feet. ³ But Peter said, Ananias, why has the Adversary filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to pilfer part of the price of the parcel of ground?

¹² Because of this, just-as sin entered into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death has gone forth to all men, in which all have sinned. ¹³ For Sin was in the world till the law, but sin is not charged to one’s account when there is no law. ¹⁴ But death reigned from Adam till Moses, even on those who did not sin on the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a pattern of the future one. \ulnone\nosupersub ¹⁵ But not like the trespass, so also is the gift. For if the many died by the trespass of the one, the favor of God and the gift by the favor of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded much more to the many. ¹⁶ Now the gift is not as through one who sinned; for indeed the judgment came from one into condemnation, but the gift came from many trespasses into an act of righteousness. ¹⁷ For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more they, who are receiving the abundance of the favor and of the gift of righteousness, will be reigning in life through the one, who is Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ Therefore consequently, as through one trespass the judgment came to all men to condemnation; so through the righteousness of one man the gift also came to all men into justification of life. ¹⁹ For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were designated as sinners, so also through the obedience of the one the many will be designated as righteous. ²⁰ But the law entered in beside us, in order that the trespass might increase, but where sin increased, the favor over-abounded; ²¹ in order that, just-as sin reigned in death, so also the favor might also reign through righteousness to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²¹ Therefore, what fruit were you having then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. ²² But now, having been made free from sin and having been enslaved to God, you have your fruit leading to holiness and the end everlasting life. ²³ For the compensations of sin is death, but the gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, which is the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And if anyone was not found, having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
