Romans 8:1-13

1 Consequently now nothing is condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free away from the law of sin and of death. 3 For the law being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh; 4 in order that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, those who are not walking according to the flesh, but walking according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to the flesh are mindful of the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit are mindful of the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Spirit is life and peace; 7 because the mindset of the flesh is hostility toward God; for it is not subject to the law of God, for neither is it able to be; 8 and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God is dwelling in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his. 10 But if Christ is in you, the body is indeed dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus up from the dead is dwelling in you, he who raised the Christ up from the dead will also be giving-life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who is dwelling in you.
12 Therefore consequently, brethren, we are debtors but not to the flesh, not to live according to the flesh; 13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you are about to die, but if you slay the practices of the body in spirit, you will be living.

Galatians 5:16-24

16 But I am saying, walk by the Spirit and you may never complete the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh, and these lay in opposition to one another; in order that you may not do these things which you would wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are apparent, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, unbridled-lusts, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousies, furies, selfish ambitions, dissensions, sects, 21 envies, murders, drunkenness, revelings and things similar to these things; which I am telling to you beforehand, also just-as I foretold to you, that those who are practicing such things–they will not be inheriting the kingdom of God!
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness and self-control. There is no law against such. 24 But those who are of the Christ have crucified the flesh together with its passions and lusts.

19 And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob. And Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas and let birds multiply on the earth. 23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
