¹² And you will set bounds to the people all around, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that you* not go up onto the mountain, or touch the border of it. Whoever touches the mountain will be surely put to death;

²⁸ And Pharaoh said to him, You get from me. Take heed to yourself, see my face no more, because in the day you see my face you will die.

²¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, Go down, command the people, lest they break through to Jehovah to gaze and many of them perish.

²³ And Moses said to Jehovah, The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai, because you commanded us, saying, Set bounds about the mountain and sanctify it.

¹² Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you go, lest it is for a snare in the midst of you.

⁴ And command you the people, saying, You* are to pass through the border of your* brothers the sons of Esau, who dwell in Seir and they will be afraid of you*. You* take good heed to yourselves therefore.

⁹ Only take heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life, but make them known to your sons and your son's sons–

⁴ Yet there will be a space between you* and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near to it, that you* may know the way by which you* must go, for you* have not passed this way yesterday and the day before.

²⁰ For they were not carrying out what was ordered, ‘Even if a beast might touch the mountain, it will be stoned.’ ²¹ And so fearful was the manifestation, that Moses said, ‘I am fearful and trembling.
