⁹ Remember what Jehovah your God did to Miriam by the way as you* came forth out of Egypt.

² Command the sons of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper and every man who has a discharge and whoever is unclean about life.

¹⁰ And the cloud removed from over the tent. And behold, Miriam was leprous, as snow. And Aaron looked upon Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. ¹¹ And Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, I beseech you, do not lay sin upon us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned. ¹² Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb. ¹³ And Moses cried to Jehovah, saying, Heal her, O God, I beseech you.
¹⁴ And Jehovah said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside the camp seven days and after that she will be brought in again. ¹⁵ And Miriam was shut up outside the camp seven days. And the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

³ Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate and they said one to another, Why do we sit here until we die?

²⁰ And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests, looked upon him, and behold, he was leprous in his forehead. And they thrust him out quickly from there. Yes, he himself also hastened to go out, because Jehovah had struck him.
²¹ And Uzziah the king was a leper to the day of his death and dwelt in a separate house, being a leper. For he was cut off from the house of Jehovah and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.

³² Remember Lot’s wife.

⁶ Now these things became our examples, that we should not be desirers of evil things, just-as they also lusted.

¹¹ Now all these things are examples which were befalling to those Jews, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have arrived.
