³ But Peter said, Ananias, why has the Adversary filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to pilfer part of the price of the parcel of ground?

¹³ And Jehovah God said to the woman, What is this that you have done?
And the woman said, The serpent deceived me and I ate.
¹⁴ And Jehovah God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, cursed are you above all cattle and above every beast of the field. Upon your belly you will go and dust you will eat all the days of your life. ¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise your head and you will bruise his heel.
¹⁶ He said to the woman, I will greatly multiply your pain and your childbearing, in pain you will bring forth children. And your desire will be to your husband and he will rule over you.
¹⁷ And to Adam he said, Because you have obeyed the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You will not eat of it, cursed is the ground for your sake. You will eat of it in toil all the days of your life.

² When a man vows a vow to Jehovah, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he will not break his word. He will do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

²¹ When you will vow a vow to Jehovah your God, you will not be slack to pay it. For Jehovah your God will surely require it of you and it would be sin in you.

²¹ And there came out a spirit and stood before Jehovah and said, I will entice him. ²² And Jehovah said to him, With what? And he said, I will go forth and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You will entice him and will also prevail. Go forth and do so.

¹ And Satan stood up against Israel and moved David to number Israel. ² And David said to Joab and to the princes of the people, Go, number Israel from Beer-sheba even to Dan and bring me word that I may know the sum of them.
³ And Joab said, Jehovah make his people a hundred times as many as they are. But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why does my lord require this thing? Why will he be a cause of guilt to Israel?

¹³ And you say, What does God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?

⁷ And they say, Jehovah will not see, nor will the God of Jacob consider.
⁸ Consider, you* the stupid among the people and you* fools, when will you* be wise? ⁹ He who planted the ear, will he not hear? He who formed the eye, will he not see?

²⁵ It is a snare to a man to say rashly, It is holy. And to make inquiry after vows.

⁴ When you vow a vow to God, defer not to pay it, because he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.

¹⁵ Woe to those who hide deep their counsel from Jehovah and whose works are in the dark and who say, Who sees us? and, Who knows us?

²⁴ Can any man hide himself in secret places so that I will not see him? says Jehovah. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says Jehovah.

¹² Ephraim encompasses me around with falsehood and the house of Israel with deceit, but Judah yet rules with God and is faithful with the Holy One.

³ And the Tempter came and said to him, If you are the Son of God, speak, in order that these stones may become bread.
⁴ But he answered and said, It has been written, ‘Man will not be living on bread alone, but upon every declaration that travels through the mouth of God!’
⁵ Then the devil takes him into the holy city. And he stands him upon the pinnacle of the temple, ⁶ and says to him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself downward; for it has been written, ‘He will be commanding the messengers concerning you, and they will be lifting you up upon their hands, lest you hit your foot against a stone.'
⁷ Jesus said to him, Again it has been written, ‘Do not test the Lord, your God.’
⁸ Again, the devil takes him to an exceedingly high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; ⁹ and I will be giving you all these things, if you fall down and worship me.
¹⁰ Then Jesus says to him, Go behind me, Adversary! For it has been written, ‘You will worship the Lord your God and you will give-divine service to him only.’ ¹¹ Then the devil leaves him, and behold, messengers came and were serving him.

¹⁹ everyone hearing the word of the kingdom and not understanding it, then the evil one comes and takes away what has been sown in his heart. This is he who was sown beside the road.

³ Now the Adversary entered into Judas who is surnamed Iscariot, being from the number of the twelve.

² And it happened during supper, the devil had already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, in order that he should give him up.

²⁷ And after the morsel, then the Adversary entered into him. Therefore Jesus says to that man, What you are doing, do quickly.

² and pilfered part of the price, his wife also having been conscious of it, and brought a certain part, laid it beside the apostles’feet.

⁴ When it remained unsold, was it not remaining yours? And when it was sold, was it not still in your authority? Why did you purpose this matter in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.

⁹ But Peter said to her, Why is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door and they will be carrying you out.

²¹ Therefore you who are teaching a different one, are you not teaching yourself? You who are preaching not to steal, are you stealing? ²² You who are saying to not commit adultery, are you committing adultery? You who detest idols, are you a temple looter?

¹¹ Clothe yourselves with the full-armor of God, that you may be able to stand up to the schemes of the devil. ¹² Because the wrestling in us is not with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world dominions of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual ones of wickedness in the heavenly places. \ulnone\nosupersub ¹³ Because of this, take up the full-armor of God, in order that you may be able to stand against the devil in the evil day, and to stand straight, having worked against all things. ¹⁴ Therefore stand, having girded your loins in truth and having clothed yourselves with the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and having tied the feet with the readiness of the good-news of peace. ¹⁶ Upon all these things, when you have taken up the shield of the faith, in which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one; \ulnone\nosupersub

⁷ Therefore, be subject to God and stand against the devil, and he will be fleeing away from you.

⁸ Be sober! Watch! Your opponent, the devil, like a roaring lion, is walking around seeking whom he may swallow,

⁹ And the great dragon was cast down, the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and the Adversary, the one who is misleading the whole inhabited-earth; he was cast down to the earth and his messengers were cast down with him. ¹⁰ And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ has become, because the accuser of our brethren has been cast down, who accuses them in the sight of our God day and night. ¹¹ And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.
