²³ But Jehovah was gracious to them and had compassion on them and had respect to them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and would not destroy them, neither did he cast them from his presence as yet.

³ And Jehovah said, My Spirit will not strive in man everlasting, he is flesh in their erring. Yet his days will be a hundred and twenty years.

¹⁶ And I will make your seed like the dust of the earth. So that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then may your seed also be numbered. ¹⁷ Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it, because I will give it to you.

² And I will make my covenant between you and me and will multiply you exceedingly.
³ And Abram fell on his face. And God talked with him, saying, ⁴ As for me, behold, my covenant is with you and you will be the father of a multitude of nations. ⁵ Neither will your name any more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham, because I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

⁷ And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you. ⁸ And I will give to you and to your seed after you, the land of your travels, all the land of Canaan for an everlasting possession and I will be their God.

²⁴ And God heard their groaning and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. ²⁵ And God saw the sons of Israel and God took knowledge of them.

⁶ Moreover he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look upon God.
⁷ And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, because I know their sorrows.

¹³ Remember Abraham, Isaac and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self and said to them, I will multiply your* seed as the stars of heaven. And all this land that I have spoken of I will give to your* seed and they will inherit it everlasting.
¹⁴ And Jehovah relented of the evil which he said he would do to his people.

¹⁹ And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim the name of Jehovah before you. I will be merciful to whom I may be merciful and I will be compassionate to whomever I may be compassionate.

⁶ And Jehovah passed by before him and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth, ⁷ keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons and upon the sons' sons, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.

⁴² then I will remember my covenant with Jacob and also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember and I will remember the land.

³⁶ For Jehovah will judge his people and regrets for his servants, when he sees that their power has gone and there is none remaining, shut up or left at large.

¹⁶ And they put away the foreign gods from among them and served Jehovah. And his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

²⁸ Yet have you respect to the prayer of your servant and to his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which your servant prays before you this day,

²⁷ And Jehovah did not say that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

¹⁸ Therefore Jehovah was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. There was none left but only the tribe of Judah.

²⁰ For it happened in Jerusalem and Judah through the anger of Jehovah, until he had cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

³¹ Nevertheless in your great mercies you did not make a full end of them, nor forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God. ³² Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness, do not let all the travail seem little before you, that has come upon us, on our kings, on our rulers and on our priests and on our prophets and on our fathers and on all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria to this day.

¹¹ Cast me not away from your presence and take not your holy Spirit from me.

¹⁵ But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

⁸ He has remembered his covenant everlasting, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

¹⁸ And therefore Jehovah will wait, that he may be gracious to you*. And therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you*, for Jehovah is a God of justice. All those who wait for him are fortunate. ¹⁹ For the people will dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. You will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry. When he will hear, he will answer you.

¹⁵ And it will happen, after I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them. And I will bring them again, each man to his heritage and each man to his land.

³² For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

¹⁸ Who is a God like to you, who pardons iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.
¹⁹ He will again have compassion upon us. He will tread our iniquities under foot and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. ²⁰ You will perform the truth to Jacob and the loving kindness to Abraham, which you have sworn to our fathers from the days of long-ago.

⁴¹ Then he will also say to them at the left, Travel away from me, you those who have been cursed into the everlasting fire which has been prepared for the devil and his messengers:

⁵⁴ He helped Israel his young-servant, in order to remember his mercy, ⁵⁵ just-as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his seed forever.

⁷² to do his mercy with our fathers and his holy covenant to remember. ⁷³ We have the oath which he swore to Abraham our father to give to us,

⁹ who will be suffering-punishment, the sentence of everlasting utter-destruction away from the face of the Lord, and away from the glory of his strength,
