¹ If I speak with the languages of men and of messengers, but do not have love, I have become like noisy brass or a clanging cymbal. ² And if I have the gift of prophecy and if I know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so-then to remove mountains, but if I do not have love, I am nothing. ³ And if I handout all my possessed things and if I give my body in order that I would be burned, but if I do not have love, it profits me nothing. ⁴ Love has patience. It is kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not brag. It is not arrogant. ⁵ It does not behave improperly. It does not seek its own. It does not irritate. It does not reason evil. ⁶ It does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices together with the truth. ⁷ It is forbearing all things, is believing all things, is hoping for all things, is enduring all things. ⁸ Love never falls short.
But if there are prophesies, they will be done-away; if there are foreign languages, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done-away.
⁹ But we know partially and we prophesy partially; ¹⁰ but whenever the completed thing comes, then what is partially will be done-away. ¹¹ When I was an infant, I was speaking like an infant, I had the mindset like that of an infant, I was reasoning like an infant. Now that I have become a man, I have done-away-with the things of the infant. ¹² For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. I know now partially, but then I will fully know just-as I was also fully known.
¹³ But these three are remaining now: faith, hope, love, and the greater of these is love.

⁴⁵ Then he will answer them, saying, Assuredly I am saying to you, Inasmuch as you did it not to one of these, the least, neither did you do it to me.

¹⁵ But if your brother is made sorrowful because of food, you are no longer walk according to love. Do not destroy that man, on behalf of whom Christ died, with your food.

¹ Now concerning idol-sacrifices: we know that all have knowledge. Knowledge is arrogant, but love builds up.

⁸ for the word of wisdom is given to one through the Spirit, and the word of knowledge to another according to the same Spirit;

¹⁶ And if the ear says, Because I am not the eye, I am not from the body; contrary to this, is it not from the body?

²⁹ All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they? ³⁰ All do not have gifts of healing, do they? All do not speak with foreign languages, do they? All do not translate, do they?

⁸ Love never falls short.
But if there are prophesies, they will be done-away; if there are foreign languages, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done-away.

⁶ But brethren, now if I come to you speaking in foreign languages, what will I profit you, if I do not speak to you either in revelation or in knowledge or in prophesying or in teaching? ⁷ Even the lifeless things give forth a voice, whether flute or harp, if they do not give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? ⁸ For if the trumpet also gives an indistinct voice, who will prepare himself for war?

⁴ that he was taken away into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not legal for man to speak.

⁶ For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision prevails over anything in Christ Jesus, but faith working through love.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,

⁵ But the end of the command is love out of a clean heart and a good conscience and a non-pretended faith;

⁸ But before all things, having the intense love for yourselves, because love will hide a multitude of sins.

¹⁸ For while speaking flattering-words of futility, they entice (with the lusts of the flesh to unbridled-lusts) those who really had fled away from those who conduct themselves in error.

¹⁵ And he took up his oracle and said, Balaam the son of Beor says and the man whose eye was closed says, ¹⁶ he says who hears the words of God and knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down and having his eyes open.
¹⁷ I see him, but not now. I behold him, but not near. There will come out a star out of Jacob and a scepter will rise out of Israel and will kill* through the corners of Moab and break down all the sons of tumult. ¹⁸ And Edom will be a possession, Seir also will be a possession, who were his enemies, while Israel does valiantly.
¹⁹ And out of Jacob will come he who will have dominion and will destroy the remnant from the city. ²⁰ And he looked on Amalek and took up his oracle and said, Amalek was the first of the nations, but his latter end will come to destruction. ²¹ And he looked on the Kenite and took up his oracle and said, Strong is your dwelling-place and your nest is set in the rock. ²² Nevertheless Kain will be wasted, until Asshur will carry you away captive.
²³ And he took up his oracle and said, Alas, who will live when God does this? ²⁴ But ships will come from the coast of Kittim and they will afflict Asshur and will afflict Eber and he also will come to destruction.

²² Many will be saying to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not: prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and practice many miracles in your name? ²³ And then I will confess to them, I never knew you. Depart from me, you who are working lawlessness.

¹¹ But he answered and said to them, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but it has not given to those men.

²⁰ Now Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief. For assuredly I am saying to you, If you have faith like a kernel of a mustard-seed, you will say to this mountain, Proceed from here to over there, and it will proceed, and nothing will be impossible for you.

¹⁹ And having seen a fig tree upon the road, he came upon it and found nothing in it, except leaves only, and he says to it, Let it happen that there is no fruit from you any longer, forever. And instantly the fig tree dried up.

²¹ Now Jesus answered and said to them, Assuredly I am saying to you, If you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only be doing the miracle of the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be lifted up and cast yourself into the sea, it will happen.

²² And Jesus answered and says to them, Have faith of God. ²³ For assuredly I am saying to you, Whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and be cast into the sea, and should not doubt in his heart, but should believe that what he says happens; whatever he says will be to him.

⁵ And the apostles said to the Lord, Add to our faith.
⁶ Now the Lord said, If you have faith like a kernel of a mustard-seed, you would say to this mulberry fig tree, Be uprooted and be planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.

²⁵ For brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant of this mystery (that you may not be too prudent with yourselves), that a hardening has become partially to Israel, till the fullness of the Gentiles should enter;

²⁵ (14:24) Now to the one who is able to establish you^\'b0 according to my good-news and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept-silent in times everlasting, \ulnone\nosupersub

¹ So let a man count us as attendants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

¹⁹ Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

⁴ Therefore concerning the food of idol-sacrifices, we know that an idol in the world is nothing and that there is no other God except one.

⁸ for the word of wisdom is given to one through the Spirit, and the word of knowledge to another according to the same Spirit; ⁹ and miraculous faith to different one in the same Spirit; and gifts of healing to another in the same Spirit; ¹⁰ and workings of miracles to another; and prophecy to another; and the discernings of spirits to another; varieties of languages to a different one; and the translation of foreign languages to another;

²⁸ And indeed God placed some in the congregation of believers, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, thereafter miracles, thereafter gifts of healing, helps, those who pilot others, those with varieties of languages.

¹ Pursue love; but yet be zealous for spiritual gifts, but rather in order that you may prophesy. ² For he who speaks in a foreign language does not speak to men, but to God; for no one hears with understanding, but he speaks mysteries in the spirit.

⁶ But brethren, now if I come to you speaking in foreign languages, what will I profit you, if I do not speak to you either in revelation or in knowledge or in prophesying or in teaching? ⁷ Even the lifeless things give forth a voice, whether flute or harp, if they do not give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? ⁸ For if the trumpet also gives an indistinct voice, who will prepare himself for war? ⁹ So you also, if you do not give distinct speech through the foreign language, how shall it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking to air.

³⁹ So-then brethren, be zealous to prophesy and do not forbid people to speak with foreign languages.

²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord has come!

¹¹ I have become a boasting fool. You urged me to it. For I ought to have been commended by you; for I lacked in nothing over those preeminent apostles, even if I am nothing.

¹⁶ But I am saying, walk by the Spirit and you may never complete the lust of the flesh.

³ For if anyone thinks himself to be something, being nothing, he is deceiving himself.

⁴ to which, you are able, by reading it, to perceive my understanding in the mystery of the Christ;

¹⁹ And pray on my behalf, in order that the word may be given to me, in opening my mouth to make known the mystery of the good-news in boldness,

²⁶ the mystery that has been hidden away from the ages and away from the generations, but now it has been manifested to his holy-ones.

¹⁶ And confessedly great is the mystery of godliness : God was manifested in the flesh, was made righteous in the Spirit, was seen by messengers, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was received up in glory.

⁸ He who does not love, does not know God, because God is love.

²⁰ If anyone say, I love God and then should hate his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, how is he able to love God, whom he has not seen? ²¹ And we have this commandment from him, in order that he who loves God should also love his brother.

¹² I will declare your righteousness. And as for your works, they will not profit you.

⁸ Behold, you* trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

¹⁶ Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. ¹⁷ If it is so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
¹⁸ But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.
¹⁹ Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. Therefore he spoke and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was accustomed to be heated. ²⁰ And he commanded certain mighty men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
²¹ Then these men were bound in their coats, their tunics and their head coverings and their other garments and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
²² Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent and the furnace very hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. ²³ And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
²⁴ Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished and rose up in haste. He spoke and said to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king. ²⁵ He answered and said, Behold, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire and they have no harm. And the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.
²⁶ Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace. He spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, you* servants of the Most High God, come out and come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego came forth out of the midst of the fire.
²⁷ And the satraps, the deputies and the governors and the king's counselors, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power upon their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed. Neither were their coats changed, nor had the smell of fire passed on them.
²⁸ Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Praise the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, who has sent his messenger and delivered his servants who trusted in him and have changed the king's word and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

¹ Take-heed not to do your charity before men, to be seen by them, otherwise you have no reward from your Father, the one in the heavens.
² Therefore, whenever you are doing charity, do not sound a trumpet before you just-like the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the lanes, that they may be glorified by men. Assuredly I am saying to you, They are having their reward. ³ But when you are doing charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, ⁴ that your charity may be in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will be repaying you openly.

⁵ And they are practicing all their works to be seen by men. And they widen their phylacteries and magnify the hems of their garments,

²² Now having heard these things, Jesus said to him, One thing is still deficient for you. Sell all things, as many things as you have and distribute to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven and come-here. Follow me.

²⁸ But Peter said, Behold, we left all and followed you.

⁸ Now Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I repay them quadruple.

³ And he said, Truly I say to you, This poor widow cast in more-than they all. ⁴ For all these cast into the gifts of God out of what is abounding to them, but she cast in out of her lacking, all the livelihood that she had.

⁶³ It is the spirit who is giving-life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life.

⁴³ for they loved the glory from men rather than the glory from God.

³⁷ Peter says to him, Lord, why am I not able to follow you even now? I will lay down my life on your behalf.

¹³ No one has greater love than this: in order that someone should lay down his life on behalf of his friends.

¹³ But Paul answered, What are you doing, weeping and crushing my heart? For I am not only ready to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem on behalf of the name of the Lord Jesus.

²⁶ Do not become conceited, inflaming one another, envying one another.

¹⁵ Some indeed are preaching the Christ even because of envy and strife, but some also through their delight. ¹⁶ Those are indeed proclaiming the Christ out of selfish ambition, not purely, assuming to bring affliction to my bonds. ¹⁷ But the latter ones do it out of love, knowing that I am destined for the defense of the good-news. ¹⁸ For what then? Except that in every manner, whether in pretext or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and I am rejoicing in this, but also, I will be rejoicing again.

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will be shamed in nothing, but as always, now Christ will also be magnified in my body in all boldness, whether through life or through death. ²¹ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

³ (nothing according to selfish ambition or through empty conceit, but in humility): deeming one another superior to yourselves;

⁸ for bodily exercise is profitable for few things, but godliness is profitable for all things, having the promise of life the current one and the future one.

⁹ Do not be carried away by various and strange teachings; for it is good that the heart be confirmed in gratitude; not by foods, in which those who walked have not been profited.

¹⁴ My brethren, what is the profit, if someone says he has faith, but does not have works? Is that faith able to save him? ¹⁵ But if a brother or sister is naked and may be deficient of daily nourishment, ¹⁶ and anyone out of you may say to them, Go away in peace. Be warmed and be fed, but do not give to them the body’s requirements; what is the profit? ¹⁷ So also your faith, if it does not have works, is dead in itself.

¹ And when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no sons, Rachel envied her sister and she said to Jacob, Give me sons, or else I die.

¹¹ And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the saying in mind.

²¹ Now David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow has in the wilderness so that nothing was missed of all that pertained to him and he has returned me evil for good. ²² God do so to the enemies of David and more also, if I leave of all that pertains to him by the morning light so much as one who urinates on the wall.

³³ and your discretion is blessed and you are blessed, who have kept me this day from blood guiltiness and from avenging myself with my own hand. ³⁴ For in very deed, as Jehovah, the God of Israel, lives, who has withheld me from hurting you, unless you had hastened and come to meet me, surely there had not been left to Nabal by the morning light so much as one who urinates on the wall.

¹⁰ And Ben-hadad sent to him and said, The gods do so to me and more also, if the dust of Samaria will suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me. ¹¹ And the King of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let he who girds on his armor boast himself as he who puts it off.

¹⁷ and refused to obey, neither were mindful of your wonders that you did among them, but stiffened their neck. And in their rebellion they appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and did not forsake them.

⁵ His ways are profane at all times. Your judgments are far above out of his sight. As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.

¹² Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all transgressions.

¹⁰ Through pride a vain man causes contention, but wisdom is with the well-advised.

⁹ He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates chief friends.

¹⁴ The beginning of strife is like letting out water. Therefore leave off contention, before there is quarreling.

²² What makes a man to be desired is his kindness and a poor man is better than a liar.

⁸ Do not go forth hastily to strive. What will you do in the end of it when your neighbor has put you to shame? ⁹ Debate your case with your neighbor himself and disclose not the secret of another, ¹⁰ lest he who hears it revile you and your evil report not turn back.

²⁰ She stretches out her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches forth her hands to the needy.

²⁶ She opens her mouth with wisdom and the law of kindness is on her tongue.

⁸ Better is the end of a thing than the beginning of it. The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
⁹ Do not be hasty in your spirit to be angry, because anger rests in the bosom of fools.

⁴ If the spirit of the ruler rises up against you, do not leave your place, because healing rest great offenses.

³⁵ However, love^*\'b0 your enemies and do good things for them and lend, hoping for nothing again. And your reward will be much, and you will be sons of the Highest, because he is kind toward the unthankful and evil. ³⁶ Therefore, become compassionate, just-as your Father is also compassionate.

⁹ And the patriarchs, having been jealous of Joseph, gave him into Egypt. And God was with him,

²⁹ They have been filled with all: unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, greed, malice; full of: envy, murder, strife, treachery, maliciousness. They are: malicious whisperers,

¹³ We should walk decently, like in the day; not in revelings and drunkenness, not in sleeping-around and in unbridled-lusts, not in strife and in jealousy.

³ for you are still fleshly. For where there is jealousy and strife and dissensions among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking according to the manner of man?

⁶ Now brethren, I fashioned these things to myself and Apollos because of you; in order that you may learn in us not to have a mindset to go beyond what has been written; in order that no one should be arrogant on behalf of one against the other.

¹⁸ Now some were being arrogant as though I am not coming to you.

² And you have been arrogant, and did not rather mourn in order that he who did this work might be taken away out of your midst.

⁶ in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in non-pretended love,

²⁰ For I am fearing, lest, when I come, I should find you such-as I do not will and I myself might be found by you such-as you do not will; lest there should be strifes, jealousies, furies, selfish ambitions, slanderers, malicious whisperers, arrogant-people, unrests;

²¹ envies, murders, drunkenness, revelings and things similar to these things; which I am telling to you beforehand, also just-as I foretold to you, that those who are practicing such things–they will not be inheriting the kingdom of God!
²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,

² with all humility and meekness, with patience tolerating one another in love.

³² and become kind to one another, affectionate, forgiving others in yourselves, just-as God also forgave us in Christ.

¹⁵ Some indeed are preaching the Christ even because of envy and strife, but some also through their delight.

¹ Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affections and mercies, ² fulfill my joy, in order that you may be mindful of the same thing, having the same love, fellowship in spirit, being mindful of the one thing, ³ (nothing according to selfish ambition or through empty conceit, but in humility): deeming one another superior to yourselves; ⁴ each one, do not note the things of yourselves, but each one note also the things of others. ⁵ For let this mindset be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

¹¹ being empowered in all power, according to the dominion of his glory, for all endurance and patience with joy,

¹⁸ Let no one arbitrate against you, willing it so in your humility and in a religion of the messengers; stepping you^\'b0 further into the things which he has not seen, being vainly arrogant by his fleshly mind,

¹² Therefore as chosen ones of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, patience,

¹⁴ But brethren, we encourage you : admonish the disorderly, console the fainthearted, hold up the weak, have patience toward all.

⁴ he has been puffed up, knowing nothing, but being mentally diseased concerning debates and quarrels over words, out of which become: envy, strife, blasphemies, evil suspicions,

²⁵ in meekness educating those who are placing themselves in opposition; if maybe God might give them repentance to come to the full knowledge of the truth,

¹⁰ But you have followed closely my teaching, my lead, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance,

² Preach the word. Stand-ready opportunely and inopportunely. Reprove, rebuke and encourage in all patience and teaching.

³ For we were also previously foolish, disobedient, being misled, serving in various lusts and sensual-delights, leading lives in malice and envy, spiteful, hating one another.

¹⁴ But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not boast and lie against the truth. ¹⁵ This wisdom is not a wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, physical, demonic. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is unrest and every evil matter. ¹⁷ But the wisdom which is from above is indeed first pure, thereafter is peaceful, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and non-pretended.

⁵ Or are you thinking that the Scripture speaks with emptiness? Does the Spirit who dwells in us long to envy?

¹ Therefore having placed away from yourselves all malice and all treachery, and hypocrisies and envies, and all slanders,

⁸ Now to the end, all be like-minded, sympathetic, loving the brethren, affectionate, friendly;

⁷ and in your godliness, brotherly-love, and in your brotherly-love, love.

¹⁶ We have known love in this, because that man laid down his life on our behalf and we ought to lay down our lives on behalf of the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoever has the world’s good life and should view his brother having need and then should lock his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? ¹⁸ My little-children, do not love in word, nor with the tongue, but in work and in truth.

¹¹ Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

³ Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men who were upon the face of the earth.

¹⁵ And Moses was very angry and said to Jehovah, Do not respect you their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

¹⁰ And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock and he said to them, Hear now, you* rebels. Shall we bring forth water to you* out of this rock? ¹¹ And Moses lifted up his hand and killed* the rock with his rod twice and water came out abundantly. And the congregation drank and their cattle.
¹² And Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron, Because you* did not believe in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore you* will not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.

³ But the rulers of the sons of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, Think you that David honors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Has not David sent his servants to you to search the city and to spy it out and to overthrow it?

²⁷ Behold, I know your* thoughts and the devices with which you* would wrong me.

³² They also angered him at the waters of Meribah, so that it went ill with Moses because of them, ³³ because they were rebellious against his spirit and he spoke ill-advisedly with his lips.

¹⁷ He who is soon angry will deal foolishly. And a man of wicked devices is hated.

⁵ And the people will be oppressed, every one by another and every one by his neighbor. The child himself will behave-proudly against the old man and the base against the honorable.

¹⁹ But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter. And I did not know that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit of it. And let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may no more be remembered.

¹⁸ Then they said, Come and let us devise devices against Jeremiah. For the law will not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come and let us kill* him with the tongue and let us not give heed to any of his words.
¹⁹ Give heed to me, O Jehovah and listen to the voice of those who contend with me. ²⁰ Shall evil be recompensed for good? For they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.

¹³ Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces who were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, ¹⁴ and said to him, Do you know that Baalis the king of the sons of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam did not believe them.
¹⁵ Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I beseech you and I will kill Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and no man will know it. Why should he take your life, that all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered and the remnant of Judah perish? ¹⁶ But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah, You will not do this thing, for you speak falsely of Ishmael.

²² But I say to you, that everyone who is vainly angry to ward his brother will be liable to the judgment, and whoever says to his brother, You, empty-head, will be liable to the council, but whoever says, You fool, will be liable to the hell of fire.
{Vainly can be: with emptiness (without cause or reason; i.e. to further one's own vanity)}

{Empty-head is an expression of contempt. The Greek here could be simply ‘fool’said as an expression of condemnation or could be a transliteration of ‘Moreh’which is a Hebrew expression of condemnation. In Mat 5:22 the wording doesn’t matter; it’s the way it is said or meant.}

⁴ And Jesus, having seen their contemplations said, Why are you contemplating evil in your hearts?

⁵ And having looked around at them with anger, being sorrowful at the hardening of their heart, he says to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he spoke in himself, saying, This one, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.

¹² Therefore consequently, each of us will be giving an account concerning himself to God.
¹³ Therefore we should no longer judge one another, but rather judge this: you are not to place a stumbling block, or offense, in the way of the brother. ¹⁴ I know, and have confidence in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is desecrated through itself, except to the one who counts something to be desecrated, to that one it is desecrated. ¹⁵ But if your brother is made sorrowful because of food, you are no longer walk according to love. Do not destroy that man, on behalf of whom Christ died, with your food.

¹ Now we, the able, ought to bear the weaknesses of the powerless and not to please ourselves. ² Let each of us please his neighbor for what is the good thing toward building him up.

³⁶ But if anyone supposes he is behaving improperly over his virgin, if she is beyond her prime and thus it ought to happen, let her do what she wills; she is not sinning; let them marry.

²⁴ Let no one seek his own, but each one seek the good of the other.

³³ just-as I am also pleasing all people in all things, not seeking what is advantageous for me, but what is advantageous for many, in order that they may be saved.

¹³ Judge among you yourselves. Is it suitable that a woman pray to God unveiled? ¹⁴ Or is not even nature itself teaching you, that, if a man indeed has long-hair, it is a dishonor to him? ¹⁵ But if a woman has long-hair, it is a glory to her, because her hair has been given to her instead of a head dressing. ¹⁶ But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor the congregations of God.

¹⁸ For indeed, first of all, when you are coming together in the congregation, I am hearing that splits exist in you, and I believe some part of it. \ulnone\nosupersub

²¹ for while you are eating, each one is taking his own supper before others can, and one is hungry and another is drunken. ²² For do you not have houses that you should eat and drink in? Or do you despise the congregation of God and are shaming those who have nothing? What should I say to you? Should I praise you? I should not praise you in this.

²⁵ in order that no splits should be in the body, but in order that the members should have the same anxiety on behalf of one another.

³³ for God is not a God of unrest, but of peace.
As in all the congregations of the holy-ones: ³⁴ let your women be silent in the congregations; for it has not permitted for them to speak, but to be subject, just-as the law also says. ³⁵ And if they wish to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands in their own house; for it is shameful for women to speak in a congregation. ³⁶ What? Was it from you that the word of God went forth? Or did it arrive only for you?
³⁷ If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him fully know what I write to you, that they are the commandments from the Lord. ³⁸ But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.
³⁹ So-then brethren, be zealous to prophesy and do not forbid people to speak with foreign languages. ⁴⁰ But let all things happen decently and according to some order.

¹⁹ as that, God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ not counting to them their trespasses and having placed the word of reconciliation in us.

¹³ For brethren, you were called to freedom; only do not use your freedom for a starting-point for the flesh, but serve^*\'b0 one another through love.

¹ Brethren, even if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you, the spiritual, mend such a one in a spirit of meekness; noting any trespass in yourself, lest you might also be tempted. ² Bear the burdens of one another and thus fulfill the law of the Christ.

²¹ For they are all seeking their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.

⁸ Furthermore brethren, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are righteous, as many as are pure, as many as are lovely, as many as have good-repute; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, reason on these things.

⁷ For you yourselves know how it is essential for you to imitate us. Because we did not act-disorderly among you;

¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things, because of the chosen, in order that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with everlasting glory.

¹⁹ So-then my beloved brethren, let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath.

¹⁶ We have known love in this, because that man laid down his life on our behalf and we ought to lay down our lives on behalf of the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoever has the world’s good life and should view his brother having need and then should lock his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

⁹ And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which Jehovah had done to Israel, in that he had delivered them out of the hand of the Egyptians.

²² The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, the Mighty One, God, Jehovah, he knows and Israel he will know, if it is in rebellion, or if in trespass against Jehovah (do not save us this day), ²³ that we have built us an altar to turn away from following Jehovah, or if to offer burnt offering or meal offering on it, or if to offer sacrifices of peace offerings on it, let Jehovah himself require it, ²⁴ and if we have not rather out of carefulness done this, from purpose, saying, In time to come your* sons might speak to our sons, saying, What have you* to do with Jehovah, the God of Israel?
²⁵ For Jehovah has made the Jordan a border between us and you*, you* sons of Reuben and sons of Gad. You* have no portion in Jehovah. So your* sons might make our sons cease from fearing Jehovah.
²⁶ Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice, ²⁷ but it will be a witness between us and you* and between our generations after us, that we may do the service of Jehovah before him with our burnt offerings and with our sacrifices and with our peace offerings, that your* sons may not say to our sons in time to come, You* have no portion in Jehovah.
²⁸ Therefore we said, It will be, when they so say to us or to our genealogy in time to come, that we will say, Behold the pattern of the altar of Jehovah, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice, but it is a witness between us and you*.
²⁹ Far be it from us that we should rebel against Jehovah and turn away this day from following Jehovah, to build an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides the altar of Jehovah our God that is before his tabernacle.
³⁰ And when Phinehas the priest and the rulers of the congregation, even the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him, heard the words that the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the sons of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them well.
³¹ And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the sons of Reuben and to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Manasseh, This day we know that Jehovah is in the midst of us, because you* have not committed this trespass against Jehovah. Now you* have delivered the sons of Israel out of the hand of Jehovah.
³² And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest and the rulers, returned from the sons of Reuben and from the sons of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the sons of Israel and brought them word again.
³³ And the thing pleased the sons of Israel. And the sons of Israel blessed God and spoke no more of going up against them to war, to destroy the land in which the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad dwelt.

¹⁹ Then the Ziphites came up to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Does not David hide himself with us in the strongholds in the forest, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of the desert? ²⁰ Now therefore, O king, come down, according to all the desire of your soul to come down and our part will be to deliver him up into the king's hand.
²¹ And Saul said, You* are blessed of Jehovah, for you* have had compassion on me.

¹⁰ when he who told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good news, I took hold of him and killed him in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his news.
¹¹ How much more, when evil men have slain a righteous man in his own house upon his bed, shall I not now require his blood of your* hand and take you* away from the earth?
¹² And David commanded his young men and they killed them and cut off their hands and their feet and hanged them up beside the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth and buried it in the grave of Abner in Hebron.

³ Because the wicked man boasts of his heart's desire. And the greedy man renounces, yes, despises Jehovah.

¹³⁶ Streams of water run down my eyes, because they do not observe your law.

⁹ Fools mock at sin, but among the upright there is good will.

¹ Oh that my head were waters and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

¹⁷ But if you* will not hear it, my soul will weep in secret for your* pride. And my eye will weep greatly and run down with tears, because Jehovah's flock is taken captive.

¹⁰ For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. Denounce and we will denounce him, say all my familiar friends, those who watch for my fall. Perhaps he will be persuaded and we will prevail against him and we will take our revenge on him.

⁸ They feed on the sin of my people and set their heart on their iniquity.

³ They make the king glad with their wickedness and the rulers with their lies.

⁸ Rejoice not against me, O my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, Jehovah will be a light to me.

⁴¹ And as he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, ⁴² saying, If you had known in this day, even you, for-sure, the things which are for your peace! But now they were hidden from your eyes.

⁵ And they rejoiced and covenanted to give him silver.

³² Who, having fully known the ordinance of God, (that those practicing such things are worthy of death), are not only practicing the same things, but also are consenting with those who are practicing the same things.

⁹ Let the love be non-pretended, abhorring evil things, joining yourselves to what is the good thing.

⁹ I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, in order that you might suffer-damage in nothing from us. ¹⁰ For the sorrow which is according to the will of God is working unregrettable repentance for salvation, but the sorrow of the world is working death. ¹¹ For behold how much diligence this same thing, (your being sorrowful according to the will of God), has worked in you : but what a defense, but what indignation, but what fear, but what longing, but what zeal, but what vengeance! In everything you commended yourselves to be pure in the matter. ¹² Consequently, if I also wrote to you, it was not because of the one who did wrong, nor because of the one who had been wronged, but because of your diligent-aid on our behalf to be made manifest to you in God’s sight. ¹³ Because of this, we have been encouraged in your encouragement, we rejoiced even-more upon the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been given-rest from all of you. ¹⁴ Because if I have boasted in anything on your behalf to him, I was not ashamed, but as we spoke all things to you in truth, so also, our boasting in Titus became truth. ¹⁵ And his affections is even-more toward you, while he is remembering the obedience of all of you, how with fear and trembling you accepted him. ¹⁶ I rejoice that in everything I have courage in you.

⁴ always in my every supplication on behalf of all of you, making the supplication with joy,

¹⁸ For what then? Except that in every manner, whether in pretext or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and I am rejoicing in this, but also, I will be rejoicing again.

¹⁷ But even if I am a drink-offering upon the sacrifice and ministry of your faith, I am rejoicing, and even rejoicing together with you all. ¹⁸ Now you also, rejoice and rejoice together with me in the same thing.

¹⁸ For many are walking, (of whom I was speaking to you often about them; now I am also telling you, weeping), who are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

⁶ But now, when Timothy came to us from you, and proclaimed to us good-news about your faith and love, and that you have a good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, just-as we also long to see you. ⁷ Brethren, because of this, we were comforted on the basis of you in all our affliction and calamity through your faith, ⁸ because now we live, if you stand-firm in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanksgiving are we able to repay to God concerning you? Over all the joy in which we are rejoicing before our God is because of you, ¹⁰ exceptionally beseeching God night and day, that we may see your face and may mend the things lacking of your faith.

¹² in order that they all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but were delighted in unrighteousness.

⁴ I rejoice exceedingly that I have found some out of your children walking in truth, just-as we received commandment from the Father.

³ For I rejoiced exceedingly of brethren coming and testifying of your truth, just-as you are walking in truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy from these things, in order that I may hear my children are walking in the truth.

²⁰ And Jacob served seven years for Rachel. And they seemed to him but a few days in the love he had for her.

¹² Have I conceived all this people? Have I brought them forth, that you should say to me, Carry them in your bosom, as a nurturing father carries the sucking child, to the land which you swore to their fathers? ¹³ From where should I have flesh to give to all this people? For they weep to me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.
¹⁴ I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.

⁹ And I spoke to you* at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you* myself alone.

¹⁵ Behold, he will kill me; I have no hope. Nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.

⁶⁶ Teach me good judgment and knowledge, because I have believed in your commandments.

⁶ Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm. Because love is strong as death, jealousy is cruel as Sheol. The flashes of it are flashes of fire, a most vehement flame.
⁷ Many waters cannot quench love, nor can floods drown it. If a man would give all the substance of his house for love, he would be utterly scorned.

²² And you will be hated by all men because of my name. But he who has endured to the end, this one will be saved.

³⁷ And behold, a woman who was in the city, who was a sinner, when she recognized that he is reclining at a meal in the Pharisee’s house, she fetched an alabaster flask of perfume, ³⁸ and standing beside his feet behind him, weeping, she began to rain on his feet with her tears and was wiping them with the hairs of her head and was kissing his feet, and was anointing them with the perfume. ³⁹ Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he spoke in himself, saying, This one, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.

⁴⁴ And turning to the woman, he said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, you gave me no water for my feet, but she has rained on my feet with her tears and wiped them with the hairs of her head. ⁴⁵ You gave me no kiss, but, from the time I came in she has continually kissed my feet. ⁴⁶ You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with perfume.

⁴ And having ran ahead before the crowd, and goes up on a sycamore fig tree in order that he might see him, because he was about to go through that way. ⁵ And as Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, hurry, come down; for it is essential for me to abide in your house today. ⁶ And having hurried, he came down and accepted him, rejoicing.
⁷ And when they saw it, they were all murmuring, saying, He has entered to board with a man, a sinner.
⁸ Now Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I repay them quadruple.
⁹ Now Jesus said to him, Today salvation has happened to this house, insomuch as he is also a son of Abraham. ¹⁰ For the Son of Man came to seek and save what has been lost.

²⁴ For we were saved in hope; but hope which is seen, is not hope; for why does anyone even hope for what he sees?

¹ Now we, the able, ought to bear the weaknesses of the powerless and not to please ourselves.

¹² If others are partaking of this authority over you, do we not more? But we did not use this authority, but we are forbearing all things, in order that we should not give any hindrance to the good-news of the Christ.

¹⁸ Therefore what is my reward? In order that, in proclaiming the good-news of the Christ without cost, I might place the good-news before you, and that I should not make full use of my authority in the good-news.
¹⁹ For although being free from all, I enslaved myself to all, in order that I might gain all the more. ²⁰ And I became like a Jew to the Jews, in order that I might gain Jews. I became like those under the law to those who are under the law, in order that I might gain those who are under the law. ²¹ I became like the lawless to those who are lawless, (not being lawless to God, but lawful to Christ), in order that I might gain the lawless. ²² I became like the weak to the weak, in order that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all people, in order that I may certainly save some.

⁴ Love has patience. It is kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not brag. It is not arrogant.

⁸ I robbed other congregations, taking compensations from them for your service. ⁹ And being present with you and having come-short, I did not encumber anyone; for the brethren who came from Macedonia, replenished my lack of things and I kept and will be keeping myself not burdensome to you in everything. ¹⁰ As the truth of Christ is in me, that this boasting will not be sealed up in me in the districts of Achaia. ¹¹ Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do. ¹² But what I am doing, I will also continue to be doing it in order that I may cut off the starting-point from those who wish for a starting-point in order that they may be found just-as we in what they are boasting.

² Bear the burdens of one another and thus fulfill the law of the Christ.

⁴ so-that we ourselves boast in you in the congregations of God, on behalf of your endurance and faith in all your persecutions, and in the afflictions which you are tolerating.

³ Therefore suffer evil treatment as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. ⁴ No active soldier entangles himself in the tradeoffs of this life, in order that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier. ⁵ And if anyone also contends in the games, he is not crowned, if he has not contended lawfully. ⁶ It is essential that the farmer who labors to receive of the fruits first. ⁷ Perceive the things I am saying; for the Lord may give you intelligence in all things. ⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, who has been raised from the dead, was born out of the seed of David, according to my good-news; ⁹ in which I am suffering evil treatment, even as far as bonds, like a criminal, but the word of God has not been bound. ¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things, because of the chosen, in order that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with everlasting glory.

²⁴ But it is essential for the Lord’s bondservant to not quarrel, but to be mild toward all, skilled in teaching, tolerating it when being mistreated,

¹¹ my persecutions and my sufferings, such-as happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. I underwent many persecutions such-as these, and the Lord rescued me out of all of them. \ulnone\nosupersub

⁵ But you, be sober in all things, suffer evil treatment, do the work of an evangelist, fully assure your service.

¹³ Now-then let us go forth to him outside the encampment, carrying his reproach.

¹² The fortunate man who is enduring temptation, because having become approved, he will be receiving the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

²⁴ who, himself, carried our sins in his body upon the tree, in order that we might live to righteousness, having died to our sins; by whose wound s you were healed.

⁷ Of Edom. Jehovah of hosts says thus: Is wisdom no more in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom vanished?

³² But I besought concerning you, in order that your faith may not fail, and someday having turned back again, establish your brethren.

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, just-as the Spirit was giving to them to speak out.

⁶ And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they were speaking in foreign languages and were prophesying.

¹⁰ and workings of miracles to another; and prophecy to another; and the discernings of spirits to another; varieties of languages to a different one; and the translation of foreign languages to another;

²⁸ And indeed God placed some in the congregation of believers, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, thereafter miracles, thereafter gifts of healing, helps, those who pilot others, those with varieties of languages.

¹ If I speak with the languages of men and of messengers, but do not have love, I have become like noisy brass or a clanging cymbal. ² And if I have the gift of prophecy and if I know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so-then to remove mountains, but if I do not have love, I am nothing.

¹⁰ but whenever the completed thing comes, then what is partially will be done-away.

¹³ But these three are remaining now: faith, hope, love, and the greater of these is love.

¹³ In the saying, a new covenant, the first has become-obsolete. But what becomes-obsolete and is aged, it is near to disappearing.

⁷ Can you find out God by searching? Can you find out the Almighty to perfection? ⁸ It is high as heaven; what can you do? Deeper than Sheol; what can you know?

¹⁴ Behold, these are but the end of his ways. And how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?

⁵ Many, O Jehovah my God, are the wonderful works which you have done and your thoughts which are toward us. They cannot be set in order to you. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

⁶ Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high, I cannot attain to it.

⁴ Who has ascended up into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name and what is his son’s name, surely you know?

²⁷ All things have been given to me by my Father and no one fully knows the Son, except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father fully, except the Son and he to whomever the Son wills to reveal him. \ulnone\nosupersub

³⁴ For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become his counselor?

⁹ but as it has been written, ‘Things which the eye did not see and the ear did not hear and things which did not come up in the heart of man, which God prepared for those who love him.’

² But if anyone thinks to know anything, he has known nothing yet like it is essential to know;

¹² For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. I know now partially, but then I will fully know just-as I was also fully known.

⁸ This grace was given to me the least of all the holy-ones, to proclaim the good-news of the untraceable riches of Christ among the Gentiles;

¹⁸ having been rooted and having been founded in love, in order that you may have strength to grab, together with all the holy-ones, of what is the width and length and depth and height, ¹⁹ and to know the love of the Christ which surpasses knowledge, in order that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.

² in order that their hearts might be encouraged, having been knitted together in love and in all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the full knowledge of the mystery of God and Father and of the Christ, ³ in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

¹⁰ Concerning which salvation the prophets, who prophesied concerning the favor that would come to you, sought out and utterly searched out; ¹¹ searching what time or what sort of time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating, when testifying beforehand of the sufferings for Christ and the glories following after these things. ¹² To whom it was revealed, that they were serving these things not to themselves, but to you; which things now have been reported to you through those who proclaimed the good-news to you in the Holy Spirit, when he was sent forth from heaven; into which things messengers desire to peer into.

² Beloved, we are now the children of God and it was not yet manifested what we will be. But we know that, if he is manifested, we will be similar to him, because we will be seeing him just-as he is.

²³ Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for Jehovah of hosts will reign in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem. And glory will be before his elders.

¹⁹ The sun will no more be your light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give light to you, but Jehovah will be to you an everlasting light and your God your glory. ²⁰ Your sun will no more go down, nor will your moon withdraw itself, for Jehovah will be your everlasting light. And the days of your mourning will be ended.

⁷ (for we are walking through faith, not through sight). ⁸ But we are courageous and are delighted rather to be away from home, away from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

²² And I saw no temple in it; for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. ²³ And the city has no need of the sun, neither of the moon, in order that they should appear in it; for the glory of God illuminated it and its lamp is the Lamb.

⁴ and they will see his face, and his name will be upon their foreheads. ⁵ And there will be no night there, and they do not need a lamp or a light, because the Lord God will be illuminating them and they will be reigning forevermore.

¹⁰ Therefore remove sorrow from your heart and put away evil from your flesh, because youth and the dawn of life are vanity.

¹ And brethren, I was not able to speak to you as to spiritual people, but as to fleshly ones, as to infants in Christ. ² I gave you milk to drink and not food, for you were not yet able to eat it. But still you are not able even now,

²⁰ Brethren, do not become children in your mindsets, (but be infants in malice), but become mature in your mindsets.

¹ But I am saying inasmuch time as the heir is an infant, he carries nothing of more-value than that of a bondservant, though being lord of all;

³⁰ And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, for, I have seen God face to face and my life is preserved.

¹¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend and he turned again into the camp. But his minister Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart out of the tent.

⁸ With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even manifestly and not in dark speeches and he has beheld the form of Jehovah. Why then were you* not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?

¹² And Samson said to them, Let me now put forth a riddle to you*. If you* can declare it to me within the seven days of the feast and find it out, then I will give you* thirty linen garments and thirty changes of garments, ¹³ but if you* cannot declare it to me, then you* will give me thirty linen garments and thirty changes of garments.
And they said to him, Put forth your riddle, that we may hear it. ¹⁴ And he said to them, Out of the eater came out food and out of the strong came out sweetness. And they could not in three days declare the riddle.
¹⁵ And it happened on the seventh day, that they said to Samson's wife, Entice your husband, that he may declare to us the riddle, lest we burn you and your father's house with fire. Have you* called us to impoverish us? Is it not so?
¹⁶ And Samson's wife wept before him and said, You do but hate me and not love me. You have put forth a riddle to the sons of my people and have not told it to me. And he said to her, Behold, I have not told it to my father nor my mother and shall I tell you?
¹⁷ And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted. And it happened on the seventh day, that he told her because she pressed him greatly. And she told the riddle to the sons of her people.
¹⁸ And the men of the city said to him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said to them, If you* had not plowed with my heifer, you* would not have found out my riddle.
¹⁹ And the Spirit of Jehovah came mightily upon him and he went down to Ashkelon and killed* thirty men of them and took their spoil and gave the changes of garments to those who declared the riddle. And his anger was kindled and he went up to his father's house.

² Son of man, put forth a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel,

⁸ The clean in heart are fortunate, because they will be seeing God.

¹⁰ See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I say to you, that in the heavens their messengers are always looking at the face of my Father who is in the heavens.

¹⁵ just-as the Father knows me and I know the Father, and I lay down my life on behalf of the sheep.

¹⁸ For I reason that the sufferings of this current time are not worthy of complaint to the glory which is about to be revealed to us.

³ but if anyone loves God, this one has been known by him.

⁹ But we know partially and we prophesy partially; ¹⁰ but whenever the completed thing comes, then what is partially will be done-away.

¹⁸ But we all, with our face having been unveiled, seeing the reflection of the glory of the Lord for ourselves, are being transfigured into the same image from glory into glory, just-as from the Lord, the Spirit.

⁷ (for we are walking through faith, not through sight).

¹² Not that I have already received it or have already been completed in this, but I am pursuing it, if I might grab that for which I was also grabbed by Christ Jesus.

²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he resembles a man considering his face (which was his from birth) in a mirror.

⁴ and they will see his face, and his name will be upon their foreheads.

⁵ He who has the God of Jacob for his help is fortunate, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,

²¹ This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope: ²² It is of Jehovah's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassions do not fail. ²³ They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. ²⁴ Jehovah is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him.
²⁵ Jehovah is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. ²⁶ It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.

²⁹ But Jesus answered, The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one'; ³⁰ and ‘You will love the Lord your God from all your heart and from your whole soul and from your whole mind and from your whole strength.’This is the first commandment. ³¹ And the second is similar, ‘You will love your neighbor like yourself.’There is no other commandment greater than these.

¹³ But those upon the rock are those who, whenever they hear, accept the word with joy, and these have no root, who for a short time believe, and in time of temptation, withdraw. ¹⁴ But what fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and while they are traveling on with life, they are choked by anxieties and riches and sensual-delights of this life, and they are not bringing themselves to maturity. ¹⁵ But that seed in the good soil, these are such as in a good and beautiful heart, having heard the word, hold-onto it and are bearing-fruit with endurance.

²⁷ But he answered and said, ‘You will love the Lord your God from your whole heart and from your whole soul and from your whole strength and from your whole mind, and your neighbor like yourself.’

⁴ and endurance, approved character, and an approved character, hope; ⁵ and hope does not shame one, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

²⁴ For we were saved in hope; but hope which is seen, is not hope; for why does anyone even hope for what he sees? ²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, then we are waiting for it through endurance.

¹³ Now the God of hope may fill you with all joy and peace in the believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁴ If anyone’s work remains which he built upon it, he will be receiving a reward.

¹ If I speak with the languages of men and of messengers, but do not have love, I have become like noisy brass or a clanging cymbal. ² And if I have the gift of prophecy and if I know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so-then to remove mountains, but if I do not have love, I am nothing. ³ And if I handout all my possessed things and if I give my body in order that I would be burned, but if I do not have love, it profits me nothing. ⁴ Love has patience. It is kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not brag. It is not arrogant. ⁵ It does not behave improperly. It does not seek its own. It does not irritate. It does not reason evil. ⁶ It does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices together with the truth. ⁷ It is forbearing all things, is believing all things, is hoping for all things, is enduring all things. ⁸ Love never falls short.
But if there are prophesies, they will be done-away; if there are foreign languages, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done-away.

¹ Pursue love; but yet be zealous for spiritual gifts, but rather in order that you may prophesy.

¹⁴ Let all your things happen in love.

¹⁰ For it is essential for all of us to appear before the judicial-seat of the Christ; in order that each one may get back the things done in the body, for what he practiced, whether good or evil.

¹⁵ and he died on behalf of all, in order that those who are living should no longer live to themselves, but to the one who died and rose again on their behalf.

¹³ For brethren, you were called to freedom; only do not use your freedom for a starting-point for the flesh, but serve^*\'b0 one another through love. ¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled in one word, in this: ‘You will love your neighbor like yourself.’ ¹⁵ But if you are biting and devouring one another, beware, that you may not be consumed by one another.
¹⁶ But I am saying, walk by the Spirit and you may never complete the lust of the flesh. ¹⁷ For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh, and these lay in opposition to one another; in order that you may not do these things which you would wish. ¹⁸ But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are apparent, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, unbridled-lusts, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousies, furies, selfish ambitions, dissensions, sects,

⁹ And I am praying for this: in order that your love may abound still more and more in full knowledge and all comprehension;

⁵ because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard beforehand in the word of the truth of the good-news.

²⁷ To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, who is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

¹⁴ But over all these things be clothed with the love, which is the bond of maturity.

⁸ But we, being of the day, should be sober; having clothed yourselves with the breastplate of faith and love, and a helmet-- the hope of salvation.

⁷ For God did not give to us a spirit of cowardice, but of power and love and self-discipline.

¹¹ But we are desiring each of you to show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope till the end;

¹⁹ This hope which we have as an anchor of the soul, is both secure and steadfast and entering into the inner side of the curtain;

³⁵ Therefore do not cast away your boldness, which has great reward.

³⁹ But we are not from this retreating back leading to destruction, but we are from the faith leading to the preservation of the soul.

²¹ who believe through him in God. The God who raised him up from the dead and gave him glory; so-that your faith and hope might be in God.

¹⁰ He who loves his brother abides in the light and there is no offense in him.

¹⁴ I wrote to you, fathers, because you have known the one who is from the beginning. I wrote to you, young-men, because you are strong and the word of God is abiding in you and you have overcome the evil one.

²⁴ Therefore let what you have heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you have heard from the beginning abides in you, you will also be abiding in the Son and in the Father.

³ And everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, just-as that man is pure.

⁹ Everyone who has been born from God does not practice sin, because his seed abides in him and he is not able to practice sin, because he has been born from God.

⁷ Beloved, we should love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born from God and knows God. ⁸ He who does not love, does not know God, because God is love. ⁹ In this, the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent his only begotten Son into the world in order that we might live through him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atonement on behalf of our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. ¹² No one has seen God at anytime; if we love one another, God is abiding in us and his love is completed in us. ¹³ We know in this that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given to us from his Spirit. ¹⁴ And we have seen and are testifying that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. ¹⁵ Whoever confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him and he in God. ¹⁶ And we have known and have believed the love which God has in us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God and God abides in him. ¹⁷ In this, love has been completed with us, in order that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because just-as that man is complete, we are also complete in this world. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love, but mature love casts out the fear, because the fear has punishment, and he who fears has not been matured in love.

¹ Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God and everyone who loves the one who fathered us, also loves the one who has been born from him. ² We know in this that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and whenever we are keeping his commandments. ³ For this is the love of God, in order that we should keep his commandments and his commandments are not burdensome. ⁴ Because everyone who has been born from God overcomes the world and this is the victory, our faith, that has overcome the world. ⁵ Who is he who overcomes the world, if not he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

⁴ I rejoice exceedingly that I have found some out of your children walking in truth, just-as we received commandment from the Father. ⁵ And now I ask you lady, not as though I write to you a new commandment, but what we have had from the beginning, in order that we should love one another. ⁶ And this is love, in order that we should walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, just-as you have heard from the beginning, in order that you should walk in it.
