⁸ The voice of my Beloved! Behold, He comes leaping on the mountains, skipping on the hills.

¹⁶ And it happened as the ark of Jehovah came to the city of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and dancing before Jehovah. And she despised him in her heart.

¹⁷ Until when does the day blow, and the shadows flee away? Turn, my Beloved, and be like a gazelle, or a young deer, the stag, on the mountains of Bether.

² I sleep, but my heart is awake. It is the sound of my Beloved that knocks, saying, Open to Me, My sister, My love, My dove, My undefiled; for My head is filled with dew, My locks with the drops of the night.

⁶ Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness waters shall break out, and streams in the desert.

³ The voice of him who cries in the wilderness, Prepare the way of Jehovah, make straight a highway in the desert for our God. ⁴ Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made level, and the rough places smooth;

²³ Sing, O heavens; for Jehovah has done it. Shout, lower parts of the earth. Break out into singing, O mountains, O forest, and every tree in it. For Jehovah has redeemed Jacob, and glorified Himself in Israel.

¹¹ And I will make all My mountains a way, and My highways shall be set on high. ¹² Behold, these shall come from far; and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim. ¹³ Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break out into singing, O mountains; for the Lord has comforted His people, and will have mercy on His afflicted.

⁷ How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, making peace heard; who brings good news, making salvation heard; who says to Zion, Your God reigns!

¹² For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break out before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. ¹³ Instead of the thorn, the fir tree shall come up; and instead of the brier, the myrtle tree shall come up; and it shall be to Jehovah for a name, for an everlasting sign which shall not be cut off.

²⁷ For was not Israel a mockery to you? Was he found among thieves? For ever since you spoke of him, you skipped for joy.

⁴ as it is written in the book of the Words of Isaiah the prophet, saying, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. ⁵ Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth. ⁶ And all flesh shall see the salvation of God."

²³ Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. For behold, your reward is great in Heaven. For so their fathers did according to these things to the prophets.

²⁹ He who has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom who stands and hears him rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Then my joy is fulfilled.

⁴ And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him. For they know his voice. ⁵ And they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

⁸ And leaping up, he stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.

¹⁰ said with a loud voice, Stand up on your feet! And he leaped and walked.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.
