¹² the flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtle-dove is heard in our land;

¹ To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for Jehovah; and He bowed down to me, and heard my cry. ² He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock, and gave sureness to my steps. ³ And He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in Jehovah.

¹⁵ Blessed is the people that knows the joyful sound; they shall walk, O Jehovah, in the light of Your face.

⁷ Let praise be to Jehovah from the earth, the sea-monsters, and all deeps; ⁸ fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy wind fulfilling His Word, ⁹ mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars, ¹⁰ beasts and all cattle, creeping things and birds of the wing, ¹¹ kings of the earth and all people, princes and all judges of the earth, ¹² both young men and maidens, old men and children; ¹³ let them praise the name of Jehovah; for His name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heavens.

² My Beloved has gone down to His garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens and to gather lilies.

¹¹ I went down into the garden of nuts to see the greenery of the valley, to see whether the vine flowered and the pomegranates budded.

¹ The wilderness and the desert shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the crocus. ² It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the honor of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of Jehovah and the majesty of our God.

¹⁰ Sing to Jehovah a new song; His praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and its fullness; coasts and their peoples. ¹¹ Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages where Kedar dwells. Let the dwellers of the rock sing, let them shout from the mountain tops. ¹² Give glory to Jehovah and declare His praise in the coastlands.

¹² For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break out before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

⁷ Yea, the stork in the heavens knows her seasons; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow watch the time of their coming; but my people do not know the judgment of Jehovah.

⁵ I will be as the dew to Israel; he shall grow as the lily and cast out his roots like Lebanon. ⁶ His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. ⁷ They who dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive like the grain, and grow like the vine. Their scent shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

⁹ and that the nations might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written, "For this cause I will confess to You in the nations, and I will praise Your name." ¹⁰ And again He says, "Rejoice, O nations, with His people." ¹¹ And again, "Praise the Lord, all the nations, and praise Him, all the peoples." ¹² And again Isaiah says, "There shall be a root of Jesse, and He who shall rise to reign over the nations, in Him shall the nations trust." ¹³ And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹³ in whom also you, hearing the Word of Truth, the gospel of our salvation, in whom also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ who is the earnest of our inheritance, to the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

¹⁸ And do not be drunk with wine, in which is excess, but be filled with the Spirit, ¹⁹ speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; ²⁰ always giving thanks for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹⁶ Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
