³¹ Do we then make the Law void through faith? Let it not be! But we establish the Law.

⁸ I delight to do Your will, O My God; and Your Law is within My heart.

¹²⁶ It is time for Jehovah to work; for they have broken Your Law.

²¹ Jehovah is well pleased for His righteousness sake; He will magnify the Law and make it honorable.

⁸ How do you say, We are wise, and the Law of Jehovah is with us? Lo, certainly the lying pen of the scribes has written falsely. ⁹ The wise are ashamed, they are terrified, and are captured. Lo, they have turned away from the Word of Jehovah; and what wisdom is in them?

³³ but this shall be the covenant that I will cut with the house of Israel: After those days, says Jehovah, I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ³⁴ And they shall no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.

¹⁵ And answering Jesus said to him, Allow it now, for it is becoming to us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he allowed Him.

¹⁷ Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to destroy but to fulfill.

²⁰ For I say to you that unless your righteousness shall exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

⁶ and in no way he honors his father or his mother. And you voided the commandment of God by your tradition.

⁴ Let it not be! But let God be true, and every man a liar; as it is written, "That You might be justified in Your sayings, and will overcome when You are judged."

¹⁴ For if they of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is made of no effect;

⁷ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Let it not be said! But I did not know sin except through the law. For also I did not know lust except the law said, You shall not lust. ⁸ But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, worked in me all kinds of lust. For apart from law sin was dead. ⁹ For I was alive without the law once. But when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. ¹⁰ And the commandment, which was to life, was found to be death to me. ¹¹ For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. ¹² So indeed the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good. ¹³ Then has that which is good become death to me? Let it not be! But sin, that it might appear to be sin, working death in me by that which is good; in order that sin might become exceedingly sinful by the commandment. ¹⁴ For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.

²² For I delight in the Law of God according to the inward man;

²⁵ I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then with the mind I myself serve the Law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

⁴ so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

⁴ For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness for everyone who believes.

⁸ Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves another has fulfilled the Law. ⁹ For: "Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not bear false witness; do not lust;" and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." ¹⁰ Love works no ill to its neighbor, therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law.

²¹ To those who are outside Law, I became as outside Law (not being outside law to God, but under the Law to Christ), so that I might gain those who are outside Law.

¹⁹ For through the Law I died to the law, that I might live to God.

²¹ I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness is through law, then Christ died without cause.

¹⁷ And I say this, A covenant having been ratified by God in Christ, the Law (coming into being four hundred and thirty years after) does not annul the promise, so as to abolish it. ¹⁸ For if the inheritance is of Law, it is no more of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by way of promise. ¹⁹ Why then the Law? It was added because of transgressions, until the Seed should come to those to whom it had been promised, being ordained through angels in the Mediator's hand.

¹⁸ But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. ¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies, ²¹ envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. ²² But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

¹⁵ The Holy Spirit also is a witness to us; for after He had said before, ¹⁶ "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord; I will put My Laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,"

⁸ If you fulfill the royal Law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well. ⁹ But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin and are convicted by the Law as transgressors. ¹⁰ For whoever shall keep the whole Law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. ¹¹ For He who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." But if you do not commit adultery, yet if you murder, you have become a transgressor of the Law. ¹² So speak and do as those who shall be judged by the Law of liberty.
