¹⁰ Your flock has dwelt in it; You, O God, have prepared in Your goodness for the poor.

⁵ And now if you will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure to Me above all the nations; for all the earth is Mine. ⁶ And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.

³ And they gathered themselves against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, You take too much upon you, since all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and Jehovah is among them. Why then do you lift yourselves up above the congregation of Jehovah?

⁵ And you shall speak and say before Jehovah your God, My father was a Syrian ready to perish. And he went down to Egypt, and stayed there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and many.

⁹ And He has brought us into this place, and has given us this land, a land that flows with milk and honey. ¹⁰ And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which You, O Jehovah, have given me. And you shall set it before Jehovah your God, and worship before Jehovah your God.

⁸ When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when He separated the sons of Adam, He set the bounds of the people according to the number of the sons of Israel. ⁹ For Jehovah's portion is His people. Jacob is the lot of His inheritance. ¹⁰ He found him in a desert land, and in the deserted, howling wilderness. He led him about, He cared for him, He kept him as the pupil of His eye. ¹¹ As an eagle stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them and bears them on her wing, ¹² Jehovah alone led him, and there was no strange god with him. ¹³ He made him ride on the high places of the earth, so that he might eat the increase of the fields. And He made him suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock, ¹⁴ butter from cows, and milk from sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the sons of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat. And you drank the blood of the grape.

⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust; He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to set them among princes; yea, He causes them to inherit a throne of honor; for to Jehovah are the pillars of the earth; and He sets the habitable world on them.

¹⁰ who gives rain on the earth and sends waters on the field, ¹¹ to set on high those who are low, so that those who mourn may be lifted up to safety;

⁹ You visit the earth and water it; You greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, for in this way You have prepared it.

¹ An Instruction of Asaph. O God, have You cast us off forever? Will Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture? ² Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, the rod of Your inheritance which You have redeemed; this mount Zion in which You have dwelt.

¹⁹ Do not deliver the soul of Your turtle dove to the multitude; forget not the congregation of Your poor forever.

²⁰ Behold! He struck the rock so that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed. Can He also give bread? Can He provide flesh for His people?

⁵ the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel proclaimed to them.

⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things, and He has sent away the rich empty.
