¹³ For He has made the bars of your gates strong; He has blessed your sons within you.

¹ Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the Sheep Gate. They sanctified it and set up its doors, even to the Tower of Meah they sanctified it, to the Tower of Hananeel. ² And next to him the men of Jericho built. And next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built. ³ But the sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate, who laid its beams and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars. ⁴ And next to them Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz repaired. And next to them Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel repaired. And next to them Zadok the son of Baana repaired. ⁵ And next to them the Tekoites repaired. But their nobles did not put their necks to the work of their Lord. ⁶ And the Old Gate was repaired by Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah. They laid its beams and set up its doors and its locks and its bars. ⁷ And next to them Melatiah of Gibeon repaired, and Jadon of Meron, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, to the throne of the governor Beyond the River. ⁸ Next to him Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths, repaired. And next to him Hananiah, the son of one of the perfumers, repaired. And they fortified Jerusalem to the Broad Wall. ⁹ And next to them Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem repaired. ¹⁰ Next to them Jedaiah the son of Harumaph repaired, even across from his house. And next to him Hattush the son of Hashabniah repaired. ¹¹ Malchijah the son of Harim and Hashub the son of Pahath-moab, repaired the other piece, and the Tower of the Furnaces. ¹² And next to him Shallum the son of Halohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters repaired. ¹³ Hanun, and the people of Zanoah, repaired the Valley Gate. They built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits on the wall to the Dung Gate. ¹⁴ But the Dung Gate was repaired by Malchiah the son of Rechab, the ruler of part of Beth-haccerem. He built it and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars. ¹⁵ And the Fountain Gate was repaired by Shallum the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of part of Mizpah. He built it and covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the Pool of Shelah by the King's Garden, and to the stairs that go down from the City of David. ¹⁶ After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Beth-zur, repaired across from the tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men.

¹ And it happened, when Sanballat, and Tobiah and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had built the wall, and that there was no break left in it (though at that time I had not set the doors on the gates),

¹ And it happened when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were chosen,

³ And I said to them, Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot. And while they stand by, let them shut and bar the doors. And set guards from the people of Jerusalem, each one in his watch, and each one to be across from his house.

³⁰ And the priests and the Levites purified themselves. And they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

¹¹ Let the daughters of Judah shout for joy because of Your judgments! ¹² Walk around Zion, and go all around it; count the towers of it, ¹³ Set your heart on its ramparts, pass between its strongholds; so that you may tell it to the coming generation. ¹⁴ For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.

¹⁸ Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem.

¹⁴ Jehovah shall add on to you, even on you and on your sons. ¹⁵ You are blessed of Jehovah who made the heavens and the earth.

² As the mountains are all around Jerusalem, so Jehovah is all around His people from this time and forever.

³ Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine by the sides of your house; your sons shall be like olive plants around your table. ⁴ Behold! So shall the man be blessed who fears Jehovah. ⁵ Jehovah shall bless you out of Zion; and you shall see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life. ⁶ Yea, you shall see the sons of your sons. Peace be on Israel.

¹² so that our sons may be like plants grown up in their youth; and our daughters may be like corner-stones, polished like a palace building;

³ For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground. I will pour My spirit on your seed, and My blessing on your offspring; ⁴ and they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water-courses. ⁵ One shall say, I am Jehovah's; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall write with his hand, For Jehovah, and be named by the name of Israel.

¹⁹ And out of them shall come thanksgiving, and the voice of those who rejoice. And I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. ²⁰ Also their sons shall be as they were before, and their congregation shall be established before Me, and I will punish all who ill-treat them.

⁸ Jehovah purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion; He has stretched out a line; He has not withdrawn His hand from swallowing, and He made rampart and wall lament; they languish together. ⁹ Her gates have sunk in the ground; He has destroyed and broken her bars. Her kings and her rulers are among the nations. The Law is no more; also her prophets also find no vision from Jehovah.

¹² The kings of the earth, and all the people of the world, would not have believed that the foe and the hater would go into Jerusalem's gates.

²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going out of the command to restore and to build Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction.

³ So says Jehovah: I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a City of Truth, and the mountain of Jehovah of Hosts, the Holy Mountain. ⁴ So says Jehovah of Hosts: There shall yet be old men and old women living in the streets of Jerusalem, and each man with his staff in his hand because of their many days. ⁵ And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.

⁴² saying, If you had known, even you, even at least in this day of yours, the things for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ For the days will come on you that your enemies will raise up a rampart to you, and will surround you, and will keep you in on every side. ⁴⁴ And they will tear you down, and your children within you, and will not leave a stone on a stone because you did not know the time of your visitation.
