³ When my spirit fainted within me, then You knew my path. In the way in which I walked they have secretly laid a snare for me.

¹⁰ But He knows the way that I take; when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

⁶ For Jehovah knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

³ You have proved my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me, and You will find nothing; my thoughts do not pass beyond my mouth.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all My bones are spread apart; My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of My bowels.

⁴ Bring me out of the net that they hid for me, for You are my strength.

⁷ For without cause they have spread their net for me in a pit-net; without cause they have dug for my soul. ⁸ Let destruction come upon him, he will not know; and let his net which he has concealed catch him, let him fall in it, into destruction.

⁶ They stir up strife; they hide themselves; they watch my steps as they wait for my soul.

² From the end of the earth I cry to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the Rock higher than I.

³ I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit fainted. Selah.

⁴ My heart is stricken, and dried like grass, so that I forget to eat my bread.

² You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. ³ You search my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. ⁴ For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Jehovah, You know it altogether.

⁵ The proud have hidden cords and a trap for me; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set snares for me. Selah.

⁹ Keep me from the traps which they have laid for me, and the snares of the workers of evil.

⁴ And my spirit has fainted within me; my heart has become weary within me.

²² Let a cry be heard from their houses, when You suddenly bring a raiding party on them. For they have dug a pit to take me, and have hidden snares for my feet.
