²¹ They forgot God their Deliverer, who had done great things in Egypt;

³⁴ Or has God gone forth to take a nation for Himself from the midst of a nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

²² And Jehovah gave signs and wonders, great and evil signs, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his household, before our eyes.

¹⁸ You shall not be afraid of them, but shall well remember what Jehovah your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt. ¹⁹ Remember the great temptations which your eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched-out arm by which the Lord your God brought you out. So shall Jehovah your God do to all the people of whom you are afraid.

²¹ He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrible things which your eyes have seen.

¹⁷ They sacrificed to devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new ones newly come up, whom your fathers did not fear. ¹⁸ You forgot the Rock who brought you forth, and ceased to care for God who formed you.

¹⁰ and gave out signs and wonders upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants and upon all the people of his land. For You knew that they were acting proudly against them. So You got Yourself a name, as today. ¹¹ And You divided the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land. And their pursuers You threw into the deep, like a stone into the mighty waters.

¹³ You divide the sea by Your strength; You break the heads of the sea-monsters in the waters. ¹⁴ You cracked open the heads of leviathan, and gave him to be food to the people living in the wilderness.

¹¹ And they forgot His works and His wonders which He had shown them. ¹² He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

⁴² They did not remember His hand, the day when He delivered them from the enemy; ⁴³ how He had set His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the fields of Zoan. ⁴⁴ He turned their rivers into blood, and their floods, so that they could not drink. ⁴⁵ He sent different kinds of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them. ⁴⁶ He also gave their crops to the stripping locust, and their labor to the locust. ⁴⁷ He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with sleet. ⁴⁸ He gave up their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to bolts of fire. ⁴⁹ He sent on them the heat of His anger, wrath and fury and trouble, by sending evil angels. ⁵⁰ He made a way to His anger; He did not save their soul from death, but gave their life over to the plague, ⁵¹ and struck all the first-born in Egypt, the first of the strong in the tents of Ham;

¹³ They hurried and forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel;

⁹ who sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, on Pharaoh and on all his servants;

² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.

²¹ Declare and bring near; yea, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this of old? Who has told it from then? Is it not I, Jehovah? And there is no other God besides Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none besides Me.

⁸ For He said, Surely they are My people, sons that will not lie; so He was their Savior.

³² Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.

⁷ But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Jehovah their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

⁴⁷ and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

³ but revealed His Word in its own times in a proclamation, with which I was entrusted by the command of God our Savior,)

¹⁰ not stealing, but showing all good faith, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
