⁹ BETH: With what shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word. ¹⁰ With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your Commandments. ¹¹ I have hidden Your Word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.

³ If You will keep in mind iniquities, O Jehovah, who shall stand, O Lord?

⁷ Let Israel hope in Jehovah; for with Jehovah there is mercy, and with Him is plentiful redemption. ⁸ And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

¹² If your sons will keep My covenant and My testimonies which I shall teach them, their sons shall also sit on your throne forever.

⁴ you shall take up this song against the king of Babylon and say, How the exacter, the gold gatherer has ceased! ⁵ Jehovah has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers ⁶ who struck peoples in wrath, a blow without turning away, ruling the nations in anger, a persecution without restraint. ⁷ All the earth is at rest and is quiet; they break out into singing. ⁸ Yea, the fir trees rejoice at you, the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since you have fallen, no woodcutter will come up against us. ⁹ Hell from below is moved for you, to meet you at your coming. It stirs up the dead for you, all the he-goats of the earth. It has raised from their thrones all the kings of the nations. ¹⁰ All of them shall speak and say to you, Are you also as weak as we? Are you like us? ¹¹ Your pride is brought down to the grave, and the noise of your harps. The maggot is spread under you, and the worms cover you. ¹² How you are fallen from the heavens, O shining star, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! ¹³ For you have said in your heart, I will go up to the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. ¹⁴ I will go up above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High. ¹⁵ Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the Pit. ¹⁶ Those who see you shall stare and closely watch you, saying, Is this the man who made the earth to tremble; who shook kingdoms; ¹⁷ who made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed its cities; who did not open the house for his prisoners? ¹⁸ All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. ¹⁹ But you are cast out of your grave like a hateful branch, and like the clothing of those who are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; like a dead body trampled under foot. ²⁰ You shall not be joined with them in burial, because you ruined your land and killed your people; the seed of evildoers shall never be famous. ²¹ Prepare slaughter for his sons, because of the iniquity of their fathers, so that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. ²² For I will rise up against them, says Jehovah of Hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, and son, and grandson, says Jehovah. ²³ I will also make it a possession of the hedgehog, and pools of water; and I will sweep it with the broom of ruin, says Jehovah of Hosts. ²⁴ Jehovah of Hosts has sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so it shall come to pass; and as I have purposed, it shall stand; ²⁵ to break Assyria in My land, and on My mountains, trample him under foot. Then his yoke shall be removed from them, and his burden shall be taken off their shoulders. ²⁶ This is the purpose that is purposed on all the earth; and this is the hand that is stretched out on all the nations. ²⁷ For Jehovah of Hosts has purposed, and who shall reverse it? And His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? ²⁸ This burden was in the year that King Ahaz died: ²⁹ Rejoice not, O Philistia, all of you, that the rod of your striking is broken. For a viper comes forth from the root of a snake, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent. ³⁰ And the first-born of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety; and I will kill your root with famine, and he shall slay your remnant. ³¹ Howl, O gate! Cry, O city! O Philistia, all of you, are melted away; for from the north a smoke comes, and no straggler in his ranks. ³² What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah has founded Zion, and the poor of His people shall trust in it.

¹ Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower which is on the head of the fat valleys of those who are overcome with wine!

⁴ and the glorious beauty, on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the first-ripe fruit before the summer; which the beholder of it swallows up while it is yet in his hand.

¹⁶ O your perversity! Shall the former be counted as the potter's clay; for shall the work say of him who made it, He did not make me? Or shall the thing formed say to him who formed it, He had no understanding?

²⁴ And an inhabitant, the people who live in it shall not say, I am sick; iniquity is taken away.

¹⁷ Behold, I had great bitterness for peace; but You loved my soul from the pit of destruction. You have cast all my sins behind Your back.

³¹ but those who wait on Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

¹⁰ Sing to Jehovah a new song; His praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and its fullness; coasts and their peoples. ¹¹ Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages where Kedar dwells. Let the dwellers of the rock sing, let them shout from the mountain tops. ¹² Give glory to Jehovah and declare His praise in the coastlands.

²⁰ The beasts of the field shall honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen.

²⁵ I, I am He who blots out your sins for My own sake, and will not remember your sins.

²³ Sing, O heavens; for Jehovah has done it. Shout, lower parts of the earth. Break out into singing, O mountains, O forest, and every tree in it. For Jehovah has redeemed Jacob, and glorified Himself in Israel.

⁶ that they may know from the rising of the sun, and to the sunset, that there is none besides Me. I am Jehovah, and there is none else;

¹³ I bring near My righteousness. It shall not be far off, and My salvation shall not wait; and I will place salvation in Zion, My glory for Israel.

¹³ Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break out into singing, O mountains; for the Lord has comforted His people, and will have mercy on His afflicted.

⁶ Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall become old like a garment; and its inhabitants shall die in the same way. But My salvation shall be forever, and My righteousness shall not be broken.

¹² I, I, am He who comforts you. Who are you, that you should fear a man. He shall die, or from the son of man? He shall be made as grass?

⁵ But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

⁹ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

¹⁶ For I will not contend forever, nor will I be always angry; for the spirit should fail before Me, and the souls I have made.

⁶ Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed ones go free, and that you break every yoke? ⁷ Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When will you see the naked and cover him; and you will not hide yourself from your own flesh?

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this One adorned in His clothing, bending down in His great power? I who speak in righteousness, great to save.

⁷ I will mention the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah, the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah has benefited for us, and the great good to the house of Israel by which He benefited them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His loving-kindnesses.

¹¹ Then He remembered the days of old, Moses and His people, saying, Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within him; ¹² who led them by the right hand of Moses with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make Himself an everlasting name?

¹⁵ Look down from Heaven, and look down from the place of Your holiness and of Your glory; where is Your zeal and Your strength, the multitude of Your tender affections and of Your mercies toward me? Are they withheld? ¹⁶ For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O Jehovah, are our Father, our Redeemer; Your name is from everlasting.

¹ So says Jehovah, Heaven is My throne, and earth My footstool. Where, then, is the house that you build for Me? And where is the place of My rest?

³¹ O generation, see the Word of Jehovah. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, or a land of darkness? Why do My people say, We roam freely; we will come no more to You? ³² Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.

⁵ Will He keep His anger forever? Will He keep it to the end? Behold, you have spoken and done all the evil things you could do.

¹² Go and cry these words toward the north, and say, Return, O backsliding Israel, says Jehovah; and I will not cause My anger to fall on you; for I am merciful, says Jehovah, and I will not keep anger forever.

⁶ if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor walk after other gods to your hurt; ⁷ then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, forever and ever. ⁸ Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot do any good. ⁹ Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know; ¹⁰ and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? ¹¹ Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I also have seen, says Jehovah. ¹² But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I set My name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of My people Israel. ¹³ And now, because you have done all these works, says Jehovah, and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear; and I called you, but you did not answer; ¹⁴ therefore I will do to this house, which is called by My name, in which you trust, and to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh. ¹⁵ And I will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brothers, the whole seed of Ephraim.

¹⁴ Heal me, O Jehovah, and I shall be healed, save me, and I shall be saved; for You are my praise.

³ Jehovah has appeared to me from afar, saying, Yea, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you.

⁹ They shall come with weeping, and with prayers I will lead them. I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way; they shall not stumble in it, for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.

²⁰ Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? For as often as I spoke against him, I earnestly remember him still. Therefore My heart is troubled for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says Jehovah.

³⁴ And they shall no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.

¹⁸ You show loving-kindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their sons after them. The great, the mighty God, Jehovah of Hosts, is His name,

²⁴ Do you not consider what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah has chosen, He has even cast them off? So they have despised My people, that they should be no more a nation before them. ²⁵ So says Jehovah: If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not given the ordinances of the heavens and the earth, ²⁶ then I will cast away the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity, and have mercy on them.

²⁰ In those days, and at that time, says Jehovah, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and it shall not be found; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found; for I will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.

²² It is by Jehovah's kindnesses that we are not destroyed, because His mercies never fail.

⁷ In you they have despised father and mother. In your midst they have dealt with the stranger by oppression. In you they oppressed the orphan and the widow.

You have taken usury and increase, and you gained by extortion of your neighbors, and you have forgotten Me, says the Lord Jehovah. ¹³ And behold, I have struck My palm against your unjust gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been in your midst. ¹⁴ Can your heart stand, or can your hands be strong, in the day that I shall deal with you? I Jehovah have spoken, and I will act.

¹⁷ This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones, so that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will, and sets up over it the lowest of men.

²⁵ They shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. And they shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will.

³⁴ And at the end of days, I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes to Heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored Him who lives forever, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His rule is from generation to generation. ³⁵ And all the people of the earth are counted as nothing; and He does according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the people of the earth. And none can strike His hand, or say to Him, What are You doing?

⁹ I watched until the thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days sat, whose robe was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool. His throne was like flames of fire, and His wheels like burning fire. ¹⁰ A stream of fire went out and came out from before Him. A thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The judgment was set, and the books were opened.

¹⁸ O my God, bow down Your ear and hear. Open Your eyes and behold our ruins, and the city which is called by Your name. For we do not present our prayers before You on account of our righteousnesses, but because of Your great mercies. ¹⁹ O Jehovah, hear; O Jehovah, forgive; O Jehovah, listen and do. Do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God; for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

¹⁵ And I will give her vineyards to her from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope. And she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

¹¹ And Jehovah shall utter His voice before His army; for His camp is very great; for strong is He who does His Word. For the day of Jehovah is great and very terrible; and who can stand it?

¹³ Yes, tear your heart and not your robes, and turn to Jehovah your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He pities because of the evil.

² And he prayed to Jehovah and said, Please, O Jehovah, was this not my saying when I was still in my land? On account of this I fled before to Tarshish. For I knew that You are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and One who repents over calamity.

¹ Woe to those who plot wickedness and prepare evil on their beds! When the morning is light they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. ² And they covet and seize fields; and houses, and take them away. And they oppress a man and his household, even a man and his inheritance. ³ So Jehovah says this: Behold, against this family I am plotting an evil from which you shall not remove your necks; nor shall you go proudly, but it is an evil time.

² You who hate the good and love the evil; who pull their skin off them, and their flesh from their bones; ³ who also eat the flesh of My people, and strip their skin off them. And they break their bones and chop them in pieces, like that in the pot, like those in the middle of the kettle. ⁴ Then they shall cry to Jehovah, but He will not answer them. He will even hide His face from them at that time, as they have done evil in their doings.

⁵ O My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab planned, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, so that you may know the righteous acts of Jehovah.

³ Jehovah is slow to anger, and great in power. And He does not by any means acquit the guilty. Jehovah has His way in the tempest and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. ⁴ He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers; Bashan and Carmel wither, and the flower of Lebanon withers.

² O Jehovah, I have heard Your report; I am afraid. O Jehovah, give new life to Your work in the midst of years; in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

¹⁶ Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Jehovah listened and heard. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name. ¹⁷ And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him.

² But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall.

⁹ Therefore pray in this way: Our Father, who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. ¹⁰ Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

³² For the nations seek after all these things. For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

Your sins are forgiven you. ³ And lo, some of the scribes said within themselves, This one blasphemes. ⁴ And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, Why do you think evil in your hearts? ⁵ For which is easier? To say, Your sins are forgiven you, or to say, Arise and walk! ⁶ But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins, then He said to the paralytic, Arise, take up your bed and go to your house.

⁴¹ The Son of Man shall send out His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who do iniquity,

³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of Man shall appear in the heavens. And then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of the heaven with power and great glory. ³¹ And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

⁵³ Do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels?

¹¹ For what father of you, if the son asks for bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake for a fish? ¹² Or if he shall ask for an egg, will he give him a scorpion?

²¹ And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and before you, and am no more worthy to be called your son. ²² But the father said to his servants, Bring the best robe and put it on him. And put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back and glorified God with a loud voice. ¹⁶ And he fell down on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And answering, Jesus said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? ¹⁸ Were none found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?

²⁴ God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you, Moses, in whom you trust. ⁴⁶ For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed Me, for he wrote of Me. ⁴⁷ But if you do not believe his writings, how shall you believe My Words?

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brothers and say to them, I ascend to My Father and Your Father, and to My God and your God.

³⁵ This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made you a ruler and a judge? God has sent this one to be a ruler and a redeemer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the Bush. ³⁶ He brought them out after he had worked wonders and miracles in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness forty years. ³⁷ This is that Moses who said to the sons of Israel, "The Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet to you from your brothers, One like me; you shall hear Him." ³⁸ This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him in Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received the living words to give to us, ³⁹ to whom our fathers would not be obedient, but thrust him away and turned back again to Egypt in their hearts, ⁴⁰ saying to Aaron, "Make us gods to go before us, for as for this Moses who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him." ⁴¹ And they made a calf in those days and offered sacrifice to the idol and rejoiced in the work of their own hands. ⁴² Then God turned and gave them over to serve the host of the heavens, as it is written in the book of the Prophets: "O house of Israel, have you offered to Me slain beasts and sacrifices forty years in the wilderness? ⁴³ Yea, you took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, images which you made in order to worship them; and I will remove you beyond Babylon." ⁴⁴ The tabernacle of witness was among our fathers in the wilderness, as commanded by God, speaking to Moses to make it according to the pattern that he had seen. ⁴⁵ Which also having received it by inheritance with Joshua, our fathers, with Joshua, in taking possession of the nations whom God drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of David, ⁴⁶ who found favor with God and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob; ⁴⁷ but Solomon built Him a house. ⁴⁸ But, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says, ⁴⁹ "Heaven is My throne and earth is My footstool. What house will you build Me, says the Lord, or what is the place of My rest? ⁵⁰ Has not My hand made all these things?" ⁵¹ O stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so you do. ⁵² Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you have now been the betrayers and murderers; ⁵³ who received the Law through disposition of angels, and did not keep it. ⁵⁴ And hearing these things, they were cut to their hearts. And they gnashed on him with their teeth. ⁵⁵ But being full of the Holy Spirit, looking up intently into Heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. ⁵⁶ And he said, Behold, I see Heaven opened and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God. ⁵⁷ And crying out with a loud voice, they stopped their ears and ran on him with one accord. ⁵⁸ And throwing him outside the city, they stoned him. And the witnesses laid their clothes down at the feet of a young man named Saul. ⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, who was calling on God and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. ⁶⁰ And kneeling down, he cried with a loud voice, Lord, do not lay this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

²⁶ Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and whoever among you fears God, the Word of this salvation is sent to you.

³² And we preach the gospel to you, the promise made to the fathers, ³³ this God has fulfilled to us their children, raising up Jesus, as also it is written in the second Psalm, "You are My Son, this day I have begotten You." ³⁴ And that He raised Him up from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He spoke in this way: "I will give you the holy promises of David."

¹⁶ And in this I exercise myself, always to have a blameless conscience toward God and men.

¹⁷ For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

²¹ But now a righteousness of God has been revealed apart from Law, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets; ²² even the righteousness of God through the faith of Jesus Christ, toward all and upon all those who believe. For there is no difference, ²³ for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, ²⁴ being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; ²⁵ whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness through the passing by of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God;

²⁰ But the Law entered so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound, ²¹ so that as sin has reigned to death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. ²⁹ For whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. ³⁰ But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, those He also justified. And whom He justified, these He also glorified.

⁸ And I say, Jesus Christ has become a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,

¹⁵ What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the mind; I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the mind.

⁴ according as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, ⁵ having predestined us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, ⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace, in which He has made us accepted in the One having been loved. ⁷ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace,

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love with which He loved us ⁵ (even when we were dead in sins) has made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved), ⁶ and has raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus, ⁷ so that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

¹¹ Therefore remember that you, the nations, in time past were in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; ¹² and that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. ¹³ But now in Christ Jesus you who were once afar off are made near by the blood of Christ.

¹⁸ may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge and in all perception;

⁹ Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth;

¹⁶ Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

¹ For the rest, then, my brothers, we beseech you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as you have received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.

⁷ and to give rest with us to you who are troubled, at the revealing of the Lord Jesus from Heaven with the angels of His power, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brothers beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, ¹⁴ to which He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ Charge the rich in this world that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, He offering to us richly all things to enjoy,

⁹ who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before the eternal times.

⁶ And again, when He brings in the First-born into the world, He says, "And let all the angels of God worship Him." ⁷ And of the angels He says, "Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire."

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation?

¹ Now the sum of the things which we have spoken is this: We have such a High Priest, who has sat down on the right of the throne of the Majesty in Heaven,

⁶ But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by so much He is also the Mediator of a better covenant, which was built upon better promises. ⁷ For if that first covenant had been without fault, then no place would have been sought for the second. ⁸ For finding fault with them, He said to them, "Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will make an end on the house of Israel and on the house of Judah; a new covenant shall be, ⁹ not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day I took hold of their hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt," because they did not continue in My covenant, and I did not regard them, says the Lord. ¹⁰ "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My Laws into their mind and write them in their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ¹¹ And they shall not each man teach his neighbor, and each man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for all shall know Me, from the least to the greatest. ¹² For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more." ¹³ In that He says, A new covenant, He has made the first one old. Now that which decays and becomes old is ready to vanish away.

² For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because the worshipers, when they had been once for all purged, would have had no more conscience of sin.

⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons, "My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him; ⁶ for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He scourges every son whom He receives." ⁷ If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons, for what son is he whom the father does not chasten? ⁸ But if you are without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then you are bastards and not sons. ⁹ Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? ¹⁰ For truly they chastened us for a few days according to their own pleasure, but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness. ¹¹ Now chastening for the present does not seem to be joyous, but grievous. Nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who are exercised by it.

¹⁰ and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he shall pass away as the flower of the grass. ¹¹ For the sun rose with the hot wind and dried up the grass, and its flower fell out, and the beauty of its appearance perished; so also the rich one will fade away in his ways. ¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because having been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

⁶ But you dishonored the poor one. Do not rich men oppress you and draw you before the judgment seats?

¹ Come now, rich ones, weep and howl for your hardships coming on. ² Your riches have rotted, and your clothes have become moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver have corroded, and their poison will be a witness against you, and will eat your flesh as fire. You heaped treasure in the last days. ⁴ Behold, the hire of the laborers reaping your fields cry out, being kept back by you. And the cries of those who have reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts. ⁵ You have lived luxuriously on the earth, and lived wantonly. You have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. ⁶ You have condemned and murdered the just; he does not resist you.

¹¹ Behold, we count blessed those who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is full of pity and of tender mercy.

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will cure the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him.

²⁴ For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls out,

²² who is at the right hand of God, having gone into Heaven, where the angels and authorities and powers are being subjected to Him.

⁴ And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of our God and our Savior Jesus Christ,

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

⁸ And each one of the four living creatures had six wings about him, and within being full of eyes. And they had no rest day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, the Almighty, who was and is and is to come.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for You were slain and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation.

¹² saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in the Heaven and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are in the sea, and all who are in them, saying, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the One living forever and ever.

⁵ And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all His servants, and the ones fearing Him, the small and great. ⁶ And I heard as the sound of a great multitude, and as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of strong thunders, saying, Hallelujah! For the Lord God omnipotent reigns!

⁸ And I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing me these things. ⁹ Then he said to me, Behold! See, do not do it! For I am your fellow-servant, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the Words of this Book. Do worship to God.
