¹⁰ Whoever causes the righteous man to go astray in an evil way, he himself shall fall into his own pit; but the upright shall inherit good.

¹⁵ And Moses said to them, Have you saved all the women alive? ¹⁶ Behold, these caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit sin against Jehovah in the matter of Peor, and the plague was on the congregation of Jehovah.

¹² And it shall be, because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, Jehovah your God shall keep to you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers. ¹³ And He will love you and bless you and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your grain, and your wine, and your oil, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which He swore to your fathers to give you. ¹⁴ You shall be blessed above all people. There shall not be male or female barren among you or among your cattle.

¹⁹ And now, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If Jehovah has stirred you up against me, let Him accept an offering. But if it is the sons of men, they are cursed before Jehovah. For they have driven me out today from joining myself with the inheritance of Jehovah, saying, Go, serve other gods.

¹⁵ He dug a pit and bored it, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. ¹⁶ His mischief shall return on his own head, and his violence shall come on his own crown.

⁸ But Elymas the conjurer (for so his name is, if translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. ⁹ Then Saul (who is also Paul), filled with the Holy Spirit, set his eyes on him ¹⁰ and said, O son of the Devil, full of all deceit and all craftiness, enemy of all righteousness, will you not stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?

³ But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve in his craftiness, so your thoughts should be corrupted from the simplicity due to Christ. ⁴ For if, indeed, the one coming proclaims another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive another spirit, which you did not receive, or another gospel, which you never accepted, you might well endure these .

¹³ For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ Did not even Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light? ¹⁵ Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.

⁸ But even if we or an angel from Heaven preach a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed. ⁹ As we said before, and now I say again, If anyone preaches a gospel to you beside what you have received, let him be accursed.

⁴ But because of those false brothers stealing in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus; they desiring to enslave us;

¹ O foolish Galatians, who bewitched you not to obey the truth, to whom before your eyes Jesus Christ was written among you crucified? ² This only I would learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing of faith? ³ Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, do you now perfect yourself in the flesh? ⁴ Did you suffer so many things in vain, if indeed it is even in vain?

¹⁸ For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they lure through the lusts of the flesh, by unbridled lust, the ones who were escaping from those who live in error; ¹⁹ promising them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom anyone has been overcome, even to this one he has been enslaved. ²⁰ For if they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the full knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and are again entangled, they have been overcome by these, their last things are worse than the first.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the teachings of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit fornication.
