¹² And they put him under guard, so that the mind of Jehovah might be declared to them.

¹⁵ And Moses said to his father-in-law, Because the people come to me to inquire of God. ¹⁶ When they have a matter, they come to me. And I judge between one and another, and I make known the statutes of God and His Laws.

²³ If you will do this thing, and God command you, then you shall be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

³⁴ And they put him under guard because it had not been clearly said what should be done to him.

⁵ And Moses brought their cause before Jehovah.

⁵ And Moses commanded the sons of Israel according to the word of Jehovah saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph has said well. ⁶ This is the thing which Jehovah commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best.
