² He has led me and made me go in darkness and not into light.

²⁹ And you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. And you shall always be pressed down and spoiled forever, and no man shall save you.

¹⁸ They drive him from light to darkness, and they make him flee from the world.

¹⁸ Woe to those desiring the day of Jehovah! What is this for you? The day of Jehovah is darkness and not light; ¹⁹ as if a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house and leaned his hand on the wall, and a snake bit him. ²⁰ Shall not the day of Jehovah be darkness and not light? Even very dark, and no brightness in it?

⁶ And those angels not having kept their first place, but having deserted their dwelling-place, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of a great Day;

¹³ wild waves of the sea foaming up their shames; wandering stars for whom blackness of darkness has been kept forever.
