¹⁸ But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him having received sight.

¹⁴ And Lot went out and spoke with his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said, Get up and get out of this place, for Jehovah will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked to his sons-in-law.

¹¹ Jehovah, Your hand is lifted up, they will not see; but they shall see and be ashamed for their envy toward Your people. Yes, the fire of Your enemies shall devour them.

¹ Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed?

¹⁹ And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you?

³⁷ But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they did not believe on Him, ³⁸ so that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, "Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" ³⁹ Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again, ⁴⁰ "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they should not see with their eyes nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them."

¹⁵ while it is said, "Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation." ¹⁶ For some, when they had heard, did provoke; however, not all who came out of Egypt by Moses. ¹⁷ But with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness? ¹⁸ And to whom did He swear that they should not enter into His rest, but to those who did not believe? ¹⁹ So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

¹¹ Therefore let us labor to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of unbelief.
